I purchased a perforated tool bar for the kitchen (to hang kitchen wear on) and the delivery was quite quick however I noticed the panel had 2 dents on the sides. I emailed the company and within a few minutes Christina from The Workplace Depot answered and after I had explained what had happened, I was given 15% discount which was great. The alternative would be to return the panel for a replacement which could cost more than the actual panel. Good outcome.

The Sackbarrow-3 arrived quickly and well packed. It needed assembly but all components were there and everything fitted perfectly. Need your own tools. This is a good quality item and looks the part. Yet to use it but I have every confidence it will last a good long time, made from good "stuff". Contact with the company via Christina was swift, pleasant and helpful. No issues with the item, just making a query about wording of instructions.
Would recommend the product and company.
Price appears to be the "going rate" for the item.

I ordered a trolley (item# WD-6) from this company. It arrived as a flatpack in a reasonable time. when I came to assemble the trolley, the nuts and bolts required were absent. I contacted the company to ask for the fasteners. The customer service staff responded swiftly to say they had notified their product staff and would get back to me asap. Well, I had to prod them for nearly a week to get a solution. The solution offered was that I buy my own nuts and bolts and thyey would refund 20% ( £30) of the purchase price. As it appeared this was going to be quicker than them source and send the fasteners, I agreed. I was left puzzled as to why they couldn't open up the same item in stock and remove and forward the fasteners therein. So I ordered the fasteners off eBay, which cost me £12 and a further delay of 4 days. The fasteners arrive and I begin to assemble the trolley only to discover that the tubes that the legs go through have not been deburred and so the legs won't go through, plus I cut myself on razor sharp swarf. In addition the tubes werewelded at a slight angle (The welding was awful with spatter everywhere). Luckily, I am a DIYer and have a fair array of tools and I used a rounded maetal file to deburr and open up the tubes. After that assembly went smoothly and the trolley is a sturdy beast. BUT the fabrication is of a poor standard and the service by The Workplace Depot shoddy. If you don't have basic DIY knowledge and tools give their products a swerve.

Had an issue with one of the bollards we purchased, within 5 mins of reporting the issues a replacement was sent, very good customer service and fast resolution to the issue.

I ordered a driveway mirror it arrived quickly as promised, i had a small problem it was resolved equitably and very very quickly - an exceptionally good trading company will use again and again and recommend to others.

On the 7th February 2026, I ordered from Amazon 3 Heavy-Duty 5 Tier Plastic Shelving Units from a company called The Workplace Depot. They were expensive at £71.99 each, with free postage, so a total of £215.97 for all 3 units.

I originally wanted to buy 6 shelving units, but as these ones were quite expensive, I decided to only buy 3 just now and would buy another 3 when I could afford to buy them.

They were delivered on the 12th February 2026 and I have not opened them yet, as I need help to open and build them up, due to being a disabled pensioner.

On the 13th February 2026, a parcel was delivered to my home, containing a First Aid Kit for 10 people. There was no note inside the bag, saying who had sent it and why I had received it, as I had not ordered it.

I saw a small label on the Royal Mail postage label, that the company who sent the First Aid Kit, was The Workplace Depot.

I went on to their own website to see how I could contact them, to ask why they had sent the kit to me. I also wanted to have a look at all the other things that they sold. I was shocked to see that the same Heavy-Duty Shelving 5 Tier Plastic Shelving Unit was priced at £49, with free postage, as are all the items on sale on their website.

I contacted their customer services about why they sell the same shelving unit on Amazon at a marked up price of 49% more.

Below is a copy of what they said to me, in their email dated 12th February 2026.

“We completely understand your concerns, especially given the circumstances you have explained. Please allow me to clarify. Amazon operates as a separate marketplace and applies its own selling fees, commission charges, and fulfilment costs to products sold through its platform. These additional costs mean that prices listed on Amazon are often higher than those available directly on our own website.

While the shelving units are the same product, the pricing structure on Amazon differs from our direct website pricing due to these third-party fees. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the additional charges Amazon applies to orders placed through their platform.

We are very sorry that this was not clearer at the time of your purchase, and we completely understand how frustrating this must feel, particularly when you are budgeting carefully. Your feedback is important to us, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention”.

They never mentioned that they had sent me a First Aid Kit, or why.

Under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations, I believe that the Amazon listing constitutes a "misleading omission" by hiding the fact that the same seller offers a significantly better deal directly.

This company blamed Amazon for the inflated prices, due to Amazon fees that they add. Amazon say that it is the seller who sets the price on Amazon, so maybe both of them are breaking Consumer Regulations. A 49% mark up on Amazon, on their price on their own website is a disgrace.
