This is NOT the official US government website, though it's designed to look like it. I paid $179 for an ESTA that costs $40 on the real site, esta.cbp.dhs.gov. The charge appears on your card as "TravelAssist." The site also warns that card disputes "may affect future travel" , that's false.

To be fair, my ESTA was genuinely submitted and is real, hence 2 stars, not 1. But I only paid because I mistook this for the official site, like many others here.

Before you pay: close this tab and go to esta.cbp.dhs.gov.

Scammers! Overpriced. Slow response. Bad customer service - terrible grammar. Applied 4 days ago and they still can’t provide an application number. Also paying $170 is an absolute joke. Use official website for $40. I got caught out thinking I was on the official website - whole time it was a third-party useless private scammer.

They mimic the official website (Spam). They charge you more than 4 times the fee the immigration department charge. You can do the application at the official website (for ESTA) and have to enter exactly the same information so there is no difference whatsoever other than being robbed. I am more concerned about the passport ID I had uploaded to this website.

This company is a scam and I am ashamed to say I have found out the hard way.
They promised a priority service, you pay over the odds, don’t receive documents, struggle to get a refund, emails they send don’t make sense, they don’t know their arse from their elbow.
Terrible service.
I wouldn’t even give them one star.
Please don’t use them and hopefully you find these reviews before you go through the stressful situation they put you in as I am going through right now.

Just to update this …. I ordered my Esta this morning (30th June) on the official site and it was approved in a matter of hours, proving this company has no idea and is 100% useless

I have reported to the authorities this horrendous scammer and asked for my refund.

I would consider a minus star rating for this scam . Please avoid avoid avoid ! There is no price till the end and instead of the 40$ fee they charge 179$ .
Go to the official site it has an app . These are absolute scammers . I cancelled my credit card as they have my data . Im beyond livid . Please do not use this site . It comes up first on Google search but AVOID !!!!

Went through the whole process but it said payment invalid (try another card). I stupidly tried multiple cards but nothing happen (no money taken). Should i be worried or have i had a lucky escape.

Looks like an official website but isn't. Charges you over 4 times the cost of an ESTA. We didn't realise this wasn't the official site (they have since added this to their homepage). The details submitted for my daughter's Esta were not the same as the ones we put on the form.
They told us they would refund 50% of my fee after I complained and should have refunded the service fee for my daughter's application which was denied. They refunded around 40% of mine & 30% of my daughter's.

Appears at the top of search engines so you assume it’s official, it’s not ,simply a private company charging silly money for a service that actually costs $40ish

When I realised this wasn’t the official US ESTA website and cancelled within 1 minute of sending my application and told them to stop processing, they refused to refund and claimed the docs had already been submitted. I didn’t provide all the documents but apparently they had already submitted it. Liars and fraudsters

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!! It is borderline FRAUDULENT. Being one of the first sites that appear on the Google search for the CBS ESTA application, and looking almost exactly like the official site, it is easy to get scammed. It happened to me, I unwittingly uploaded passport and sensitive credit card information on this site. I realized it was a COPYCAT SITE until it hit me that the cost was just exorbitant (179$) It was too late. I never received a confirmation email for the application, nor a confirmation of the payment, nothing. I have called and emailed, but no reaction. In the meantime I went on the CBS official US government site and it took under 10 minutes to fill the application, pay 40$ AND get the application approved. I recommend anyone in a similar situation to first check in the CBS site if your data already appears in the ESTA application process. If it doesn't request your ESTA via the official channel. That way the company CANNOT request an ESTA and the payment may be contested for no service. ALSO: CANCEL THE CARD YOU USED, AS THIS SITE IS AS DODGY AS IT GETS.

I would rate these guys negative if I could. The customer service is non-existence and they are out to milk anyone where possible. I believed I was applying for an ESTA through an official channel but later realised this was a private third-party service charging substantially way more than the official ESTA fee. (£134.50). I requested cancellation approximately 47 minutes after payment, when I realised the charge. The company refused a full refund and offered me 25% and after 4 days of professional argument, they ultimately offered a 50% refund. Despite several requests, I was not provided with an itemised breakdown of costs or evidence of the work allegedly performed before cancellation. Prospective customers should RUN AWAY from this guys!

Total scam masquerading as a US government website. It is unbelievable this kind scam is allowed by the US government. Shame

This company attempts to look like a government website, and spends enough on Google Ads to become the top search result in their target areas, and then charges users $180 for a service that is already provided by the US government for $40. It is a total scam, even if they forward your service.

Vorsicht! Aus meiner Sicht besteht hier eine erhebliche Verwechslungsgefahr mit der offiziellen US-Visum-Webseite.

Die Gestaltung, der Aufbau und die Darstellung können bei Verbrauchern den Eindruck erwecken, auf einer offiziellen oder zumindest staatlich autorisierten Seite zur Beantragung eines US-Visums gelandet zu sein. Erst bei genauerem Hinsehen wird deutlich, dass es sich um einen privaten Dienstleister handelt, der für seine Unterstützung erhebliche Gebühren erhebt.

Als Verbraucher empfinde ich diese Aufmachung als irreführend. Gerade ältere Menschen oder Personen, die zum ersten Mal ein ESTA oder Visum beantragen, könnten leicht davon ausgehen, direkt die offizielle Beantragung vorzunehmen.

Besonders kritisch sehe ich:

* die starke optische Anlehnung an offizielle Stellen,
* die aus meiner Sicht nicht ausreichend hervorgehobene Eigenschaft als privater Vermittlungsdienst,
* die erheblichen Zusatzkosten gegenüber der offiziellen Beantragung.

Ich empfehle jedem, vor einer Zahlung sorgfältig zu prüfen, ob es sich um die offizielle Webseite der US-Behörden oder um einen privaten Anbieter handelt.

Aus Verbrauchersicht sollte der Gesetzgeber und auch die EU deutlich strengere Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung solcher Angebote stellen, damit eine Verwechslung mit offiziellen Behördenangeboten ausgeschlossen wird.

Mein persönliches Fazit: Für mich ein Geschäftsmodell, das von der Unsicherheit von Reisenden profitiert und bei dem Transparenz deutlich stärker im Vordergrund stehen sollte. Ich würde diesen Dienst nicht erneut nutzen und empfehle jedem, sich vorab genau über die offizielle Beantragungsmöglichkeit zu informieren.

Be careful! These predatory sites collect all your private data AND your credit card. They also try to make you pay again, "your application is not complete" by email and a link. Demand a refund immediately by email. Close out your credit card and call your bank immediately.

Ladrones!! la ESTA salió aprobada , con la mitad de informacion asique espero qm e dejen entrar a USA. les envie mail y desaparecieron .

Thought I was on the official website, wasn’t until I paid I realised I wasn’t. £134 rather than £30 I paid!

Wondered where my approved ESTA was so tracked on official website, it had been approved but the reason I didn’t get confirmation was due to them PUTTING SOMEONE ELSE EMAIL ADDRESS IN!!!

So now all my personal details have gone to someone else and opened me up for identity theft and fraud!!!
