I am going to be totally honest and say…
I am going to be totally honest and say I certainly wouldn't recommend Win-Dor to any of my friends or family.
My husband and I purchased windows for the whole house, a front door and an added room / conservatory onto the back of our house September 2018. They promised the room would be completed for Christmas and it wasn't completed until May 2019 due to a never ending snag list. I had explained that we would carry wooden flooring through from our existing dining area from day one however, whilst at work they decided to install the coving, fix it permanently to the wall and told us that that was our fault because we didn't tell them on the day they were coming to do this and they wouldn't remove it due to terms in their contract. They weren't sympathetic at all. This along with a long snag list made my blood boil and I was heavily pregnant at the time trying to deal with work and making sure this list and the extension was completed before our second child was born.
In the end, a whole new team was assigned to complete the extension, mainly because I broke down in tears. The floor was left so shoddy, not skimmed properly to be able to lay a decent wooden flooring that no proper company would fit one. So we had to get a friend to help us and luckily they did. At this point, I hated the extension room because the whole ordeal made me miserable.
I can't even begin to go into detail about customer services as communication is so unbelievably poor. I have had hinges replaced on some of the windows and the front door already. One recent example comes just last week, I waited in between 8-12 for someone to replace one of our front door hinges. I called at 10am to enquire if someone was coming out. They said they would check and call me back. They didn't. I called again at 11.50am and requested to speak to Tracey. She told me that she would look into it and call me back and did to tell me that someone would be with me for 1pm. WHAT A WASTE OF MY MORNING AND TIME! Plus what is even more infuriating is that the chap who came, who was lovely, wasn't even able to fix the front door as he wasn't given the correct information. So once again, I have had to give up another morning to wait for someone to come and do their job properly.
With everything that has happened during the whole course of headaches and heartache with it all, I have completely lost all confidence in this company and don't believe a word they say. I even fell out of love with my extension. What's worse is that I have to keep contacting them when something goes wrong with the windows, front door or the conservatory to come back again and again over the years so they will never be out of my life.
The only reason why I give it 2 stars and not 1 is because the look of the windows, front door and extension are super smart and the chaps that come to the house are all well mannered polite and get on.
As a company, I really hope the fat cat bosses actually take heed of these reviews, mostly negative, and have a good hard long look at what needs to be rectified for people to want to purchase anything from them in the future.

we have just had Win-Dor fit double glazed windows and doors in our bungalow. This is the third time we have used Win-Dor for various property's we have lived in, I would recommend them , they are very good, the workman ship is superb, the sales rep was not pushy and new what he was talking about and understood our needs. the fitters were polite and hard working and cleaned up after them selves. I would recommend them .
I had my single glazed over 30 year old…
I had my single glazed over 30 year old conservatory replaced last year with a double glazed Win-dor one.
The two installers that came in June 2018 worked hard over two days removing the old one and replacing it with the new. They carefully lifted the internal ceramic tiles around the edge, removed all the old glass and framework and left no mess. The tiles have since be relayed to fit.
The new installation was done with precision, the installers, father and son were hardworking, worked well together as a team and did a job to a high standard.
There have been no issues and there is no damp or condensation in winter cold or summer warmth. I am pleased with my new conservatory.
Great choice of colour
We are so pleased we chose the black ash windows from Wind-Dor. They are stylish and contemporary and have given our house a real facelift. The window fitters were hardworking, thorough, polite and efficient. No complaints at all, they were very professional and cleaned up all the debris. We have had lots of compliments about the windows and would not hesitate to recommend Win-Dor.
Excellent all round
I contracted Windor to remove my existing 20-year-old conservatory and build a new Orangery with bi-folding doors, and to knock through the external wall into the dining room, to create one large dining / family room.
I cannot speak more highly of Windor; from Andrew’s initial visit where he instantly understood the vision I had in my head and the confidence in being able to deliver it (which was very much lacking in some of their competitors that I had round to quote), through to the final completion of the project, all Windor staff and trades were professional, polite and a pleasure to have in the house. I’m not good with names but the installers that took the majority of the time, were a father and son team who I cannot speak highly enough of – thoroughly professional, trustworthy and a good laugh, too!
It was not a small project (approx. 4/5 weeks), but it ran very smoothly from the groundworks to installation, electrics and plastering, with the final outcome being exactly how I had envisaged it to be.
I have since had one small issue with one of the bi-fold door handles but this was rectified very quickly and with minimal effort on by part, giving me confidence that any issue that may arise in future will be handled quickly and effectively.
I would honestly struggle to think of any negative points in dealing with Windor and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of having a new orangery, conservatory, windows, doors etc (they also fitted a new front door for me that I’m very happy with and at a very competitive price).

Win-Dor installed a whole house of windows and doors for us and an Orangery. The sales manager Andrew was extremely helpful and patient with us, he came to our house twice and we visited him in the showroom several times. We wanted a be-spoke colour as we live in a village location, once we had decided on a colour we were still a bit anxious so Andrew had a sample coloured for us personally so we could see it in the flesh.
All of the builders and installers were friendly, tidy and extremely professional.
This was a big decision for us and we had called out a few companies for quotations but ultimately we felt confident in Andrew and Win-Dor's ability.
We definitely made the right decision and would recommend Win-Dor to anybody.

When we moved into our new home last spring we decided to install a new conservatory. We got quotes from several companies and finally decided on Win-dor. Although they were not the cheapest they weren't the most expensive either. We visited the showroom and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They have examples of many types of conservatory and helped us decide on what would suit us best. We had a site visit from an architect, all included in the cost, and a decision was made. The groundwork team were friendly and tidy. The installation team likewise were friendly and tidy, any small issues in construction were dealt with quickly and efficiently. There was a small problem which occurred after the installation had been finished and paid for but again there was no problem with the after service. All in all I would definitely use Win-dor again.

The product is of high quality and the fitters work to a high standard. I was recommended by my mum and dad who had a conservatory built by Win-dor and were extremely pleased and continue to be pleased after 15 years. Would highly recommend Win-dor to anybody.

We have had a large and complicated conservatory design from Win-Dor and Andrew was our liaison point throughout the entire process from design including changes and amendments through to the installation and completion was courteous professional and extremely knowledgeable of his product.
The groundworkers who installed the foundations and dwarf walls were brilliant considering the work they had to undertake made no mess and caused a minimum disruption to us.
Finally the conservatory install team were fast professional and made a complicated roof assembly look easy.
We have now had two conservatories from Win-Dor one here and one nearly 20 years ago at our old property which still looks like new, we cannot recommend this company and its people highly enough.

I have had numerous jobs installed by Win-Dor over the years. From a simple front door installation to a complex be-spoke conservatory/extension. I have found that from sales through to aftercare they are nothing but friendly and professional.

My most recent job was a conservatory, which leaked twice within 1 year. The first time the damage to the ceiling was minimal and I repaired it myself. The second time the damage was quite serious and they made another repair to the gutter. However, they refused to correct or pay for the damage to the ceiling, stating their terms and conditions. I made a claim in the small claims court and they paid within a week. DON'T LET THEM BULLY YOU. The court procedure was done easily online and at minor cost, what is the risk?
It's a pity that they do not value their customers. With a little effort this could be a really good company.

I have just had a new Orangery installed by Win-Dor, and I would just like to say a big thank you to the whole team.
From sales all the way through to the finished article I have been treated with nothing but high standards and professionalism.

Today is the 3rd time I have wasted a…
Today is the 3rd time I have wasted a day waiting for somebody to come and adjust French doors so I can lock them properly and to fit a new hinge to the front door as this can't be adjusted to enable me to shut and lock the door properly.
Both of these are the results of poorly fitted doors in the first place.
Customer service is appalling, no calls to say can't make it, no apologies from anyone, abysmal.
I think it's time to sue for breach of contract.

We strongly recommend you do not use …
We strongly recommend you do not use Win-Dor. Having recently experienced the customer service from their installation department following the erection of an orangery we will never use them again or recommend them. The orangery roof leaked from the first time it rained from the area where it was attached to our roof close to a valley gutter/box gutter, damaging the new internal plaster. Thereafter every time it rained the plaster became wet.
Win-Dor:
• Blamed our original roof claiming the survey photos showed the roof was ‘suspect’ which they never shared with us
• Did not return many of our calls desperate for assistance to resolve the issue
• Sent an employee to inspect the roof who failed to report our request for them to supply an additional length of lead flashing so we could resolve the issue ourselves and not bother them.
• Eventually came out to inspect the leak after us begging for assistance, still claiming it was not their fault but agreed to carry out some works to the area where the orangery connected to the house, including lengthening the lead flashing.
• Did not turn up to carry out works on the agreed date, despite us checking the arrangements earlier in the day.
• Eventually returned to carry out agreed works but failed to do the crucial work to extend the length of lead flashing leading into the box gutter where we were convinced the leak was coming from.
• Were glad to leave us with a leaking orangery and walk away.
Finally, out of frustration my husband extended the flashing leading into the box gutter himself and appears to have resolved the problem. No more leaks and wet plaster.
This is how Win-Dor treat a customer who has a serious problem. Basically they didn’t care.
Don’t bother to write to their Managing Director for assistance either – he’ll ignore you too!
There are plenty of other companies out there – we suggest you use one of them!

We purchased a conservatory from windor. The Salesman came round gave us a quote and left without applying any pressure to buy. The only issue I had with the salesman was he was a bit disorganised but once we agreed on the order there were no issues. If you get a quote from them keep your paperwork safe it will make things go smoothly. All of the contractors that worked on our Conservatory were all very friendly and asked when they were unsure. The chaps that did the glass fitting worked through some of the worse rain I've seen in ages and still did a good job of fitting the conseratory. We did have one delay where the fitters weren't able to turn up but windors communication was spot on and we were never left guessing when something was to be done. Its always quite nerve racking when you have to spend a lot of money on something like this but windor did an outstanding job. I would recommend Windor to anyone I am very please with the work they did.
