Complaint
It has now been three weeks since I order a birthday celebrations meal from Yo Sushi via Just Eat. The food never turned up and when I drove into Yo Sushi in Guildford they refused to refund me saying my contract was with JustEat and that they never received confirmation from Just Eat that they had a driver available to deliver the food, despite there website saying that they had prepared the food which meant that I had no way of cancelling the order. I was furious because it ruined the birthday and so I contacted both companies using there on line forms ( to note these are not formal customer complaint forms) and infact neither have any way via phone email or other method of submitting a complaint. No one from either company has got back to me and both have not returned the almost £70 paid despite both have received money in their respective accounts and leaving me with a breach on contract, given that what I paid for was never provided. You can tell how much they care about customers by the sheer lack of any ability to contact them, thus I am now having to resort to Trustpilot to try and assist. I think both companies are an absolute disgrace and I will obviously never use them again.

Always great! So many options for dietary needs. It’s nice to have the belt back.
Poor Quality, Expensive
I ordered online from the one in Norwich and not only did I waste a load of money but half the food I ordered is in the bin. The ingredients were not fresh at all and it tasted like it had been out for a couple days. I love sushi, I have it all the time and would even eat Tesco's sushi which isn't that great but is still far better than this. Even the rice tasted off and that's something difficult to do. I couldn't get a refund online either, which I found really disappointing as I bought it to cheer myself up from being depressed not to feel even worse afterwards. Thanks for taking my money and giving me garbage food.

The staff let you eat in peace — it’s one of my biggest pet peeves when I’m asked every two minutes if I’m enjoying my meal, but this didn’t happen here and it made the experience a lot better.

I discovered they put msg in their soups so I will never return. Maybe just for sushi so I can use my loyalty card but that’s it
Then there’re is their sushi. OMG how many preservatives do you put in this? I had no idea the thought of eating fish and rice could contain so many horrible ingredient. Particularly because they make to order. Then there’s the aspartame they use which is the worse out of all the artificial sweeteners out there. I o lay found out reason their food is so unhealthy so I’ve block listed them now. This means even if they change their ways, it’s too late. I don’t trust them. I have a full loyalty card and I have no idea what to do with it. I would not even give their food to my dog.
They’re not the only ones. A lot is places use msg as well as sulfites. I don’t care if they say it’s not harmful. I’ve done my own research and I don’t want this in my food. It also means trust is out the window. There’s other places I can go so if you put this sort of stuff in your food o go elsewhere. Simple’s
I’ve got a loyalty card and I only get sushi from this place now but not even that I’ve blacklisted yo sushi. If I have to perform checks like this myself to find out they can’t be trusted
They put yellow 05 and blue 02 and artificial sweeteners in their sushi. Did you know yellow 05 is actually banned in some countries.
Staff are rude and not flexible
Staff are rude and not flexible , really bad experience and a waste of time.
First time visiting Yo sushi in Bristol area with my friends. By the time we were there, only 3 other customer were in the restaurant. All other seats are empty.
The staff brought us to a corner table (space limited due to sharp turning ), we requested to sit another empty seats as we all have back pack and clothing. Staff appeared not understanding and keep challenging our reasons for not sitting at the packed and narrow seat.
1. Enjoy a meal comfortably is the basic quality service
2. The time were not even at peak hour, if the restaurant already crowded with people, we won’t have such request.
3. Staff not considering customer feeling and keeping challenging for at least 3 times ( If you were travelers, do you expected to have a meal while holding backpack and eating elbow touching other elbow and being questioned)
4. Staff keep challenging and said just wanna make sure everything is ok, is this a trained customer service quality by not able to step into customers shoes?
5. Manager didn’t step in the first place and let a impulsive, rude staff to keep challenging customer for a simple request and continue to justify the impoliteness.
A really disappointing experience and will never try this restaurant nor recommend to friends.

I tried to like “YO’ at Tesco but yet again I eat the vile soooo sweet chicken plus slaw that I nearly threw up.
£5.95 for a main that went in the bin because it was soooooooo sweet even August Glupp from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory would reject it.. REALLY YO SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!
Hideous salmon and avocado rolls
Bought some Salmon and avocado from Tescos. Hideous. The avocado was hard like a carrot.
Has a couple of bits with the avocado removed then chucked it in the bin.

Yo sushi York designer outlet is simply awful! Food was old and dried out, selection of food available from the menu was very limited! And the staff we not interested at all..

Really disappointing and underwhelming
Really disappointing and underwhelming. Tasteless sashimi and maki. Unfriendly staff (Birmingham Selfridges) and SO overpriced. I should have known better, but thought I would take a chance.
Bring back chicken avo poke
So sad to see the chicken avocado poke bowl gone. It's been replaced with a chicken & pepper option which is nowhere near as nice!

What has gone wrong with YoSushi? Too busy watching their topline that they've killed the experience.
No sushi on the train, took over 20 mins for one dish (confirmed it was forgotten), maki fillings miniscule, sparkling/still taps gone, and prices through the roof. (£4.50 for a plate of chips / £2.50 for a plate of rice)
£77 spent for a party of 2, neither full and to add insult to injury they ask to add a service charge 😪
Focus on your supermarket offering/small kiosks and close your restaurants before it's too late.
(Staff were polite, friendly and helpful but it didn't forgive the lost experience for us)
Not worth it anymore
We received no welcome when entering. Then when asked we were show to a table with a view of damp and cracked paint. Thankfully we were allowed to move tables - although it was a drama. We were booked for 7.30 and saw multiple plates going round that should have been removed at 5pm, there was even one from 2pm!!! We informed staff who kinda thought that was funny. I didn’t given the fact some of it sweaty was raw fish.
We ordered everything straight of the menu, and everything tasted great. Just a massive lack of care and standards all around. Staff didn’t know how to make use of the points we have built up over previous visits, and could be bother to find out so we didn’t use any.
Overall it was an expensive meal, where standard lacked in the building, maintenance, service and overall experience. Won’t bother going back, not what it used to be.

Took ages to queue with empty tables and only 2 staff members and tables took 10 minutes to clear, we waiting in the queue of 5 people for 40 minutes

When did YoSushi lose its atmosphere? It used to be fun and entertaining, now is on an app, sat in a booth, not being served.
The food quality was ok but I found that it was very expensive for what we had. This never used to be the case so it’s disappointing to see how downhill it’s gone, it used to be one of my favourite places to eat.

Fabulous choice on the conveyor belt for family of four , staff very helpful with service , recommendations & payment. Lovely atmosphere, chilled vibe! Will be back soon! Food was boxed and bagged for us to take home. Love that Yo! Have gone back to the self service conveyor belt system for sushi. Hot food we ordered with a member of staff.
Would not go again
Dry out of date cabbage, unsanitary cups but teriyaki chicken was decent but overall I would definitely not go again.
Booked a table to Yo sushi in…
Booked a table to Yo sushi in Manchester (Arndale centre with my nephew. Booked for the kids Bento box (kids eat free) on the website, mentioned it once we were sat down. 50 minutes later box had not arrived. I do understand that we should be grateful that places are doing this but he would have been left waiting for 50 minutes whilst hungry if i hadnt said to grab stuff off the conveyor belt. But was given £15 off the bill as compensation. Service slow, waiters hiding round the corner.
