Lovely gift book for a big birthday
I created a gift birthday book for my mom's 80th birthday and she loved it. It was easy to set up the format and to request people to contribute.
Some people found it hard to use, I think because of the templates and instead sent me photos and notes via email. It was easy for me to add those, but I could not use a similar template structure. So the pages come out looking different but that is okay.
Just before sending to print we saw that the preview was not showing the headers that I had written, so I contacted Kith and Kin and they were extremely responsive and the "bug" was resolved. The book arrived in time!

Great customer service
The company is excellent particularly in regard to customer service. I had several questions and special issues as we were creating our memory book. A customer rep was always back to me with information within 24 hours. Our book is lovely. The only improvement I would like to see is in regard to picture sizes. The space provided is good for a single picture. We had a number of collage pictures. Each went with a particular memory submission. Those are too small and cannot be resized to fill a page. If you are creating a book, keep your collage pictures to 2-3 rather than the 4-6 we often submitted.

Overall great experience, fast shipping, good quality. I wish there was a little bit more of a customization option to be able to move text around or consolidate onto one page. There was some misprinting in 2 pages, and for price i do wish there wasn’t that mistake, bjt the positives outweighed the negatives.

I was creating a memory book for my sister's 60th birthday.. It started out It was only going to be fifteen people and it ended up being over fifty... Once I got started with the project I knew exactly how I wanted it to go...
I could've never done this without the help of Brittney who was there every day all the way with me to make it happen.. She was so patient and understanding and knew that my heart was in this book and wanted so desperately to make it right for me.. I would highly recommend Kith n Kin for your next project..

Easy for people to connect via the link and gentle reminders for those that engage. You still need to prod folks to participate in first place closer to deadline but that is not on Kith and Kin.

On the photos, you can actually add custom pages, where you can add extra photos or include notes. Many of our customers use these pages for exactly that! We’ll make sure to highlight this option more clearly so it’s easier to spot in the future.

Perfect birthday gift
I needed a birthday gift for someone who is very sentimental, and this book was the PERFECT gift. The recipient couldn’t get through the first page without crying. It turned out absolutely beautiful. I will be ordering from Kith and Kin again!

This was my first time using this…
This was my first time using this program and it was ok. Some people had issues with their submissions as it would freeze and then delete what they wrote so I had to help them. I also don’t love the way it auto formulates the pages which left some oddly blank or pages with only one response on them which I couldn’t adjust. I also couldn’t adjust the title font in any way. Lastly, it doesn’t allow other people to add custom pages (we wanted to add notes from grandkids) so I again had to have everyone send that to me to add.
It turned out to be more work on my part so I probably won’t be using again.

It is possible to adjust the layout, and our team responded to your questions shortly after your first email to our team and this review, with some suggestions. That said, we understand the desire for more control and flexibility, especially when coordinating contributions from loved ones. You’re right that contributors can't currently add custom content outside the prompts, and that’s something we're actively exploring based on feedback like yours.
We also want to reassure you that our support team is always just a chat or email away. We aim to respond quickly and help however we can. In this case, we didn’t receive any messages from contributors having trouble, and we would have been happy to jump in and troubleshoot directly.
We hope the final product brings a smile despite the hiccups, and if there’s anything we can do to help or improve the experience now, we’d love to hear from you!
