ALPHA Warranty is a JOKE!
If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
We purchased this extended warranty because we trusted the dealership when they assured us this was a reputable company. That was clearly a mistake. After actually trying to USE the warranty we paid for, I genuinely have to wonder how this company has managed to accumulate so many glowing Google reviews, because our experience has been an absolute nightmare.
Our vehicle is SIX YEARS OLD. The factory Ford warranty is expired. The warranty company knows the factory warranty is expired. Apparently, however, common sense isn’t sufficient.
They are refusing to authorize the repair until we take the vehicle to a Ford dealership and have Ford formally deny warranty coverage.
Let that sink in.
They want us to take a six-year-old vehicle to Ford, pay approximately $300 for Ford to confirm that an EXPIRED factory warranty is, in fact, expired, then take the vehicle BACK to the repair shop so we can once again ask this company to cover the repair under the extended warranty WE ALREADY PAID FOR.
It’s almost impressive how many unnecessary steps they’ve managed to insert between “covered vehicle needs repair” and “pay the claim.”
What exactly is the purpose of buying an extended warranty if, when the factory warranty has expired and you actually need the extended coverage, you’re required to spend hundreds of dollars proving that the factory warranty has expired?
Taking our money for the warranty was apparently the easy part. Getting the company to actually stand behind the warranty is where things suddenly become incredibly complicated.
This has been one roadblock after another, and the entire process feels designed to make getting a repair authorized as difficult, inconvenient, and expensive as possible.
We trusted the dealership’s recommendation when we bought this coverage. I wish we hadn’t.
If you’re considering purchasing a warranty from this company, do yourself a favor: READ EVERY WORD of the contract, ask exactly what they will require when you actually make a claim, and don’t assume that simply paying for an extended warranty means getting a covered repair authorized will be straightforward.
Because apparently, before an EXTENDED warranty can cover your vehicle after the factory warranty expires, you first need to pay someone to officially confirm that your expired warranty is expired.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Disappointing Experience With Alpha…
Disappointing Experience With Alpha Warranty – Claim Denied Without Clear Technical Justification
I purchased an extended warranty from Alpha Warranty Services expecting protection against unexpected mechanical failures.
My 2016 Ford Explorer developed an issue involving the timing chain tensioner, a component specifically listed as covered under my contract.
My repair shop initially identified an oil leak, which Alpha used as the basis for denying the claim. However, the shop subsequently clarified in writing that the engine oil level was full and that there was no established evidence that the leak caused the timing component failure.
Alpha requested additional engine disassembly and photographs. My repair shop complied, providing further technical documentation, but the claim was denied again without a clear explanation addressing the new findings.
My vehicle has now been out of service for approximately 10 days, with the engine disassembled while we await a response to our formal request for reconsideration.
I understand that warranty companies must investigate claims and apply contract exclusions when appropriate. However, I believe customers deserve a fair technical review, clear explanations, and timely communication, especially when repair facilities comply with requests for additional inspections.
I am still hoping Alpha will review all the evidence and provide a fair resolution.
I will update this review as the situation develops.

WORST COMPANY EVER!
If they had a a zero star I would give that! Alpha is a BS warranty company, my niece got her engine replaced with an engine that had 86000 miles on it back in June 2026, they had her car for about 2 weeks, she takes it to get an oil change August 10th and her engine starts knocking again September 2026, her car has now been in the shop for 3 weeks and their trying to deny her claim saying she didn’t have an oil change and she overheated her car, which is a bs lie, she has the invoice for her oil change back in August and the shop said the heat tabs on the engine are not melted! If they don’t fix her car ima tell my niece to get a lawyer and sue them. She has the best coverage for her car as well. And they won’t help her get a rental to get back and forth to work while her cars been there that they only do reimbursements. She just made her car payment her car insurance and paid her rent. She has no money for a rental car.

Purchased vehicle from autos 360 in Orem Utah. Diana was the lady who sold us the car AND the bumper to bumper warranty. 2 months later car breaks down. It needs $6000 in repairs because of the dealership’s dishonesty. Well Alpha told me they had denied the warranty on the car when we had first purchased it and Diana at autos 360 in Orem knew this and failed to tell us. So who has the money? For the warranty that was never valid and never a real thing? Alpha or Autos 360. No one seems to know. Crooks.

Denied claim for a “pre-existing condition”! BS
I bought a used 2020 Ram Dodge Rebel with low mileage from a dealership in Scottsdale, AZ. It was fully inspected at the dealership and no repairs were necessary. During the sales process I did purchase an extended 100K miles bumper-to-bumper warranty. The truck had 38K miles at the time of purchase.
I drove the truck for 28 days and a little over 1K miles. No issues. No problems. No strange noises. When all of a sudden while driving, the truck lost power to the drive shaft and then there was some grinding noises coming from underneath the truck.
I had the truck towed to a local Dodge/Chrysler dealerships service department. The claim was initiated but the service department at the dealership. The adjuster from Alpha Warranty showed up 3 days later to inspect the damage. After the inspection, the adjustor denied the claim stating it was a pre-existing condition. The now broken transfer was not a pre-existing condition. If it were, I wouldn’t have been able to drive the truck off the dealerships lot. If the adjustor is insinuating that the leak was happening before I purchased the vehicle, they’re basically accusing the dealership of being negligent in their inspection and selling a vehicle that was in need of repair before being sold.
I contacted the dealership where the truck was purchased and spoke with the service manager to explain what was happening with the denied claim. The service department manager disagreed with the warranty companies adjustor and said that he would call Alpha Warranty and figure the situation out. Two days later I did receive a call from the dealerships service manager and was informed that Alpha Warranty agreed to “gift” me and pay for the new transfer case. During this time I also filled out an appeal to dispute the denial that included my formal dispute and the inspection report from the dealership where I purchased the vehicle.
Fast forward one more week, the service manager where the vehicle is being held, contacted Alpha Warranty to inquire about the payment. He was informed that they were not going to pay for the transfer case but would pay to have a drive shaft seal replaced. The service manager told Alpha Warranty rep that the seal wasn’t the problem, the transfer case needs to be replaced. He was then told that the payment for the seal replacement could then be applied to repairing the transfer case. Huh? Pay for something that doesn’t need to be repaired??
After learning this from the service manager where the truck is waiting to be repaired, I immediately called the service manager at the dealership where I bought this truck. I explained what Alpha Warranty had said and that they are refusing to pay to have the truck repaired and he was in disbelief due to being told by a representative that Alpha Warranty would pay for the repair. This service manager is currently in contact with Alpha Warranty, again, to figure out why they are not paying for the repair.
This denial is still being disputed and fought.

I recently went through a major engine…
I recently went through a major engine failure on my 2017 Infiniti Q60, and the process involved inspections, teardown photos, maintenance record verification, and a lot of communication between the repair facility and Alpha Warranty. It was a stressful situation, especially because the failure happened right after unrelated transmission work at another shop.
Throughout the claim, Alpha Warranty asked for detailed documentation — adjacent bearing cap photos, self‑inspection images, maintenance records, and multiple updates from the repair facility. It definitely felt like a long process at times, but in the end, they followed through exactly the way a warranty company should.
What matters most is the outcome: Alpha Warranty approved my claim and covered the engine replacement. They reviewed everything thoroughly, communicated with the shop, and made sure the repair was handled the right way. When the dollar amount reached the level that required team‑lead review, they didn’t shy away — they completed the process and honored the coverage.
I appreciate that they ultimately stood behind their contract and helped me get my vehicle back on the road. For that reason, they’ve earned this five‑star review.
Thank you, Alpha Warranty, for coming through when it counted.

I called Alpha and a representative answered the phone asap and directed me on how to files a Claim to get my Truck repaired. The Claimed was approved and my Truck is being repaired. I am so thankful for my salesman Andrew at Otto Source selling me Insurance for my F150 platinum .Thanks Alpha warranty for service.
It’s a dead end if you try to overturn a denial for a legitimate reason.
If they deny your claim, then there is nothing you can do about it even if the denial is in error. If you call customer support, they will argue with you, but they have no overturning power. Eventually they will say that a supervisor will call within 24 hours. You will patiently wait by your phone with the ringer on and they will never call. When you call back, customer service will say that the supervisor decided to send an email. They will close the case even though nothing has been resolved. Your mechanic will call back and have the case reopened because their claim is not what he said. You call back to customer service and they still state that the claim is denied for the same reason. Either your mechanic is lying or they are. At least we can talk with our mechanic and he has no reason to lie to Alpha Warranty so that the claim is denied. Customer service state that a supervisor will call within 24 hours again. Oh, guess what? They never called again.
It sounds like if you have a straight forward case then they pay and everyone is happy. If you have something more complicated with the smallest reason to not pay then you will never see any reimbursement and there will be nobody who you can talk to who can hear the case and make any changes to the decision. My recommendation is to have a conference call with the mechanic and alpha warranty so everyone can be on the same page.

Warranty for?
Well I was told it was a bumper to bumper full civerage all inclusive warranty at the dealership covering everything except oil changes and brakes. Thst could not have not been a bigger lie.
. Sure it covers things that primarily DONT touch fluid. Think about what that excludes. Sway bars not covered. Any preventive work is not covered. Battery. Nope . Belts fans blowers nope
Fliid lines nope Go ahead and let it breakdown in the middle of nowhere and they will cover the possible parts but your on your own. After discussing and reviewing it with the auto center I work with he gave me the list if items ut needed to bring it up to date according to merceceds tineline . This was 2 weeks after I purchase to see how this warranty would work When i.mentined the warranty company the service writer said "oh boy!" red flag one ..
Then....3200 worth of work of which absolutely zero was covered. That wasnt even ll if the preventive stuff .
So just for fun i stopped at another import shop to check . Same story exceot they wont even acceot it ss a warranty said theyve had terriable luck and the people are rude on the phone. One person told them she hated her job there and couldnt wait to quit. Then the cancelation process. I had to call tge warranty company several times while trying ti use it but more so to cancel. Took time and they just kept saying sorry for everything. Serpentine belt . Nope sorry.
Im sorry too. Sorry I bought this circus of a warranty. Naturally my car sales guy was no longer with the car company, must hace found a legit job, So I had to deal with his boss. Several emails( like 20 ) about how stupid it was of me to cancel, he'd nevr drive a benz without a warranty becaise they are made to break down, and other scare tactics that sounded canned and rehursed it was finally over. . It was stupid of me to buy it. I listened to him at sales time but he sure changed his tune later .Regardless 2.5 months , countless hours, wsiting fir verufication , another form, documents lost of course ,days of going back and forth they finally canceled and reimbursed me. All in all we love the car, have it up to par including a 2 recalls the dealership failed to mention, And thjngs are good. and were back on track .Dont buy this trash warranty unless you can figure out how to run your car without sny fluids to get them to cover anything. Which they won't. Warranties like this, the way it was SOLD to me and the truth of it should be illegal. This is why deaalerships get a bad rap. The only one who benefitted was the sales guy, the dealership, and warranty company owners . Its not to protect you and make a customer for life is a FOREIGN concept to them all. Its screw them now get what you can and be done .
Never buy this warranty. Plain and simple. Never .
Update:
As you can see its simply my fault for buying the wrong warranty. Preventive maintance is not important nor is it covered.
Routine maintaince like lube oil filter brakes plugs serptine belts ( go through those like every month) are also not vovered along with radiator flushes brake line fluid and transmission fluid chsnges . Who needs them?
Let the thing go its just a mercedes . Then nothings covered . When discussing this with the manager at Byron Motors when I called about getting the refund I was told that even though it was sold to me as a bumper to bumper warranty that if everyone bought it and they replaced all the parts they would all have a new car.
I scrstched my head a minute. Well I guess so .
Still wondering why it was sold to me as a bumper to bumper. But regardless the day I sat on the phone at my service center with nine things they wanted to perform for $3,200 and nothing was covered was the day I had a red flag that went up. I'm holding my own this is a worthless warranty and I would not buy one. Review asked me about my experience and might take on what happened with this car and this warranty and this is what happened: nothing.
So id say buy nothing youll be money ahead
The only one getting ahead by purchasing this warranty is your salesperson and the dealership and by the way Byron Motors, really disappointed in your short term gain and long term loss
How many people do you think im praising this sale too at this point?
You're right .
That little bit of money cost you in the long run. Yea I know you dont care, but sooner or later you might when your lot is empty and your reputation starts to become known as slippery car guys. Keep the chocolate, just give people a real warranty they dont have to fight for, and bully through the process. You are in the people business not just vehicles. It seems you've lost sight of that already.

Covers without hassle
Have had the transmission, front lower control arms, and rear window latch go out on our suburban at 2 different times. Both times they covered without any hassle. One part was considered not covered on the transmission, but that was minor compared to shelling out the full cost of a transmission replacement. Has totally paid for itself in cost and I believe we still have 1-2 years left on our vehicle before it runs out.
Amazing coverage and claims approval on…
Amazing coverage and claims approval on all our fleet cars. Greatly appreciate you all Alpha, thanks again.
Ask about other options before buying…
Ask about other options before buying and do your research. Tell me how I bought an $1800 contract, $100 deductible, and had to pay approximately $650 out of pocket for an AC condenser that they shipped from their partner or own inventory. Yes, I paid the repair shop the $650, but why. They denied a handful of other repairs that would have been great to have fixed, but you live and learn. I have the receipts. They only paid approximately $325 towards the repair via debit / credit card. What happened to the $100 deductible? I would like the balance of what dollar amount is left in the contract. With my math, let’s call it $800. They didn’t tow my car and I took the brunt of the cost.
Businesses are in business to profit, but this is just scummy and I feel scammed out of almost $2500 now. I have every reason to ask my circle when they buy a car, if they ended up with Alpha, I have to encourage them to cancel, request the refund and find better.

I’m extremely disappointed with my…
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Alpha Warranty, and after going through this claims process, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle service contract from this company.
I purchased an Alpha Warranty service contract specifically for protection against expensive mechanical repairs on my 2020 Range Rover Sport SVR. I even paid extra for the Wearable Parts coverage, including hoses and related components, because I wanted additional protection against exactly the type of cooling-system repair I’m dealing with now.
Unfortunately, when I actually needed the coverage, my experience has been completely different from what I expected when I paid for the contract.
My vehicle developed an active coolant leak. The repair facility inspected the vehicle and documented an active leak from the cross-over pipes, along with the water pump issue. Their findings specifically documented that the cross-over pipe was leaking and that the water pump required repair.
Alpha authorized only approximately $2,022.44 toward the repair while leaving me with a substantial out-of-pocket expense.
The explanation I received was that the hoses and pipes were not covered because Alpha determined that the failure was with the water pump rather than the hoses and pipes.
That explanation is extremely frustrating when I specifically paid extra for Wearable Parts coverage that includes hoses, and the repair facility has documented that the cross-over pipes are actively leaking.
What makes this even more frustrating is Alpha’s claims process. Alpha used a third-party inspection company as part of the claim determination. The repair facility documented the active leaks, including the cross-over pipes and water pump, yet Alpha relied on the third-party inspection process to make its coverage determination.
When I asked Alpha for information about the third-party inspection company and wanted to understand who performed the inspection and how the determination was reached, Alpha refused to provide me with the third party’s information.
So from a customer’s perspective, I’m being told:
• I paid for an extended service contract.
• I paid extra for Wearable Parts coverage, including hoses.
• My mechanic documented an active leak from the cross-over pipes.
• My mechanic also documented the water pump issue.
• Alpha authorized only a portion of the repair.
• Alpha denied the hoses/pipes while simultaneously acknowledging the repair facility’s findings.
• A third-party inspection was involved in the determination.
• And when I asked who that third party was, Alpha would not provide the information.
That is not what I expected when I paid for extended warranty protection.
I completely understand that service contracts have exclusions, limitations, deductibles, and specific contract language. That’s not my complaint. My concern is that I specifically purchased additional coverage, including Wearable Parts coverage, only to find myself fighting the warranty company when I actually need that protection.
If Alpha believes the pipes aren’t covered, despite the additional coverage I purchased and the repair facility documenting an active leak, then I believe they should be able to clearly explain exactly why — preferably with the documentation and inspection findings used to make that determination.
Instead, I have been left trying to get answers while simultaneously facing a significant repair bill.
The entire reason people purchase an extended warranty is to protect themselves from exactly this type of unexpected expense. A warranty that requires you to fight this hard to determine what you actually paid to have covered is not giving me much confidence in the value of the contract.
My experience has been extremely frustrating, and I would encourage anyone considering Alpha Warranty to do far more than simply look at the list of covered components. Read every exclusion, ask specifically about labor rates, associated parts, hoses, seals, pipes, diagnostic fees, inspections, and how claims are actually determined. And most importantly, ask what happens when your mechanic and Alpha disagree about what failed and what is necessary to repair it.
Right now, I feel like I paid for additional protection and am being punished for actually trying to use it.
Based on my experience with this claim, I cannot recommend Alpha Warranty.
