Bennett & Clarke London, in reality they are just a cheap product shipping from china. The men’s clogs I bought look nothing like the images online. False advertising, cheap rubbish and look just the same as my son’s Temu version that cost £8. Extremely painful to return - Avoid at all costs!

Stay away from this company,everything comes from China and they make returns absolutely impossible, I ordered boots and on 2 occasions they sent the wrong ones ,then expected me to pay the return post,after many weeks to and frying I finally relented and accepted 50%of my original purchase,so now I'm left with boots I never wanted and had to pay 50% of the purchase price

Do not buy from Bennett & Clarke London. I ordered a pair of slippers reduced from £79 to £39 in the 'sale' for a birthday present. When they eventually arrived ( after the fact) they were poorly packaged, smelt like a chemical factory and were certainly not a UK size 10 as I had ordered. After numerous emails back and forth, the only way I could return for a full refund was to send back to the warehouse in China, from which they had originated. Apparently I am liable for the return (even though they were 2 sizes too small) it had to be by a tracked method to ensure a safe return all the way back to China, and this would cost me between £35-£45 to return!!! I could have ordered the same product from Shein for £5......and returned it for free if not suitable.
Beware everyone this is one massive Con. I have taken this up with my bank, they will not get away with this!!!

I ordered two pairs of shoes and did not receive a confirmation email or a confirmation text as it said I would, in spite of me providing this information.

They have taken the money out of my account but still nothing by way of confirmation.

I have tried to contact the number provided but it immediately says that they cannot be contacted at this time and to call again later. This is the case for every time I have tried to call.

I have emailed as well but still waiting for a response.

There is no point in contacting you again, as I have already sent six messages and none of them have led anywhere. Nothing concrete has been offered other than a 20% discount. I simply need to report this to consumer protection authorities.

Order mens loafers, smell like petroleum and when requested return and refund they offered me either 20% refund or return to China which costs 45£

If I could leave a -10* review I would, from start to finish, the whole experience was horrific. Although any normal person would assume this company are a London based company- don’t be fooled like I was- you have to search through the ins and outs of their information to find that they are in fact a company selling Chinese products, all of which are low quality (circus tent material- very shiny & would make someone sweat instantly, a shirt that I ordered arrived after 2 weeks in a material I could only truly describe as like a swimming costume material- nothing like the pictures or what I had planned to wear. When asking for a full refund, I was told I could have 10 or 20% refund and keep the item, when I asked for a full refund AGAIN, I was told that I had to send the item back recorded delivery which would cost around 35-45€ and often things get lost in transit and I would only receive my money back IF it arrived back in china within 30 days in perfect condition and in original packaging, well baring in mind, the shirt didn’t cost 35€ I wasn’t going to do that, I made “Claire” from customer service fully aware that I thought the whole business was a shambles and a con. Then she stopped replying. AVOID THIS COMPANY & DON’T WASTE YOUR HEARD EARNED MONEY! You’ve been warned! Hopefully with enough people leaving reviews like mine, the company will go bust! 🤞🏻

Written email to cancel my order before it gets shipped and have heard absolutely nothing

Do NOT order from this site. I truly believe its someone sat at home ordering items from temu and sending it out.

My items arrived and they looked like they were temu.. quality was poor, size was incorrect and it was the completely wrong shoe. When I requested a refund they first offered a 10% refund.. then I said I wouldn't be accepting that and wanted a full refund.. they then said their final offer was 20%. After this i just let my bank deal with them. It's so decieving as the website looks legitimate and when you search orthopedic shoes, it's one of the first to pop up, but don't trust it! Stick to the well-known brands! It's also took 13 days for the footwear to arrive.

This is not a London Store it is a Chinese cheap goods, being shipped across the world, dressed as quality UK outfitters.
Do not be fooled by this smoke and mirrors company.
Unless you want goods from a market stall do not buy.

Took over two weeks to deliver shoes, quality is nothing like picture and came in a bag which ruined profile by squishing them together as not a box. Took over 2 days of back and forth emails and still not go anywhere with the return for a full refund. Avoid them

Update - after this review they emailed back to say I can return but would have to cover the cost to return to china and it would be between £35 and £45 which is more than the shoes themselves. Would 100% avoid on the possibility of you having issues with the delivery or not liking the product.

The shoes are very poor quality. They are cheap flip flops. Not worth 55.00. This is not a Canadian company. It's a complete scam. Trying to return them is very difficult. I don't think I'll get my money back. Do not order!!

They scammer don’t buy anything from them

Absolute Scam. Ship you a product which is not the size you ordered. Then demands £40 to return the product. Avoid at all cost. Take these legal. Do everything you can to take this company down as all it does is scam people. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Cheap products. Nothing about them is Canadian even though I went to the “Toronto” website. Returns are NOT possible unless I paid the US Dollar International postage fees which is MUCH more than the value of the cheap shoes I bought. The sizing is off. I normally wear a size 8 (so 38-39) and this 39 is much too small. They would send me a new pair is I paid shipping, so another $40… NO THANK YOU.

They claim to be a legitimate business in Toronto but are actually selling garbage shoes from UK that come in cases that are sold for 12 dollars a pair on Temu. I was told my 2 pairs of sandals were orthopedic, quality Clarke shoes and waited 3 weeks spent almost 150.00.
I was shocked to get too cheap pairs of plastic counterfeit shoes with a sticker on the end of them with a 34 and sticker on shoes made in the UK.
Now for over 2 weeks been asking for business address for Toronto to return shoes as I live a hour away they refuse to give a phone number or address and after doing research by my lawyer there is no such business in Canada.
I literally am blown away that they think giving me a 20 percent refund is acceptable on 2 brand new sandals that I could have purchased at the dollar store for 2 bucks.
After reading other reviews I learned the reason it took 3 and half weeks to arrive is because they came from the UK.
The Toronto address they falsely put on shipping packages does not even exist and has stamp on packaging do not return to this address!!
They will try to deny they ship to Canada and are a UK company! Yet these garbage counterfeit sandals both have cheap stickers on the packaging and bottom of shoes inside plastic bags that clearly say made in the UK.
No such business exists in Canada but they lied saying they were a Canadian company and even charged Canadian taxes
Now they try to say it will cost minimum 45.00 to mail back and take several weeks to give me a lousy 20% refund like they are doing me a favour!
They refuse to give phone number or address to return because they know it’s a scam from the UK selling garbage shoes from Temu! Then mailing to Canada!
Don’t fall for this scam that has cost me almost 150.00 and numerous excuses by AL email that get sent at 4.15 am

Terrible service.
I ordered shoes for holiday from them 28th June, now 8th July and no sign of my order.
The shop link isn't working and Yodel say they don't have my goods yet.
The contact phone number doesnt work.
Do not buy from this company!

Unfortunately, my experience with Bennett & Clarke has been very disappointing.

The item I ordered arrived too late for when I needed it, so I contacted customer service to arrange a return. Although they state they offer returns, I was then informed that I would need to send the item back to China at my own expense, with estimated return shipping costs of €30–€45 for an item that cost me £34.95. In other words, returning the product would cost more than the item itself, making a "full refund" unrealistic.

I tried to reach a fair compromise by asking for a 35% partial refund so I could keep the item, but this was refused. The only partial refund they were willing to offer was 20%, or alternatively I could pay more than the purchase price to return it.

My advice to anyone considering ordering is to read the returns policy very carefully and understand where returns are sent and what the potential return costs could be before making a purchase.

Sadly, based on my experience, I wouldn't purchase from them again.

Ordered some shoes , they are from china not uk based they take ages to come and they are cheap and sizing don’t fit , so it take 3 emails to return they keep offering 20% back , I said no I want to return, so they give you the returns address and postage cost £24.80 same price I paid for shoes , so just going to take the 20% money back , just a scam
