I would recommend Boiler Install

I had a very good experience with this company - excellent service, professional staff and the helpfulness of the team. Overall, I would recommend Boiler Install, and would use the company again for future needs.

Excellent Service and great price

From start to finish The Boiler and Install company were brilliant. From speaking with Dale initially to Chris, one of the engineer’s coming round to install my boiler, they were excellent.

I price checked them against other company’s and they came in significantly cheaper.

I was most impressed with how excellent the engineer left the work. I would 100% recommend using them.

Excellent from start to finish

Genuinely cannot remember the last time I left a review but I felt I had to on this occasion as what was a stressful situation turned into a positive experience. I think it was Dale who I spoke to, who was very honest and made me feel as though I wasn't going to overpay from the start, and sure enough, he got us both a good price and an excellent engineer who covered all bases. 2 days later and we had a brand new boiler which, if anything, has added value to the house.

Faulty installation

3 days after the new boiler was installed and a certificate issued, a neighbour had to call the SGN gas emergency engineers. Their written report stated that there was a gas leak from the new boiler's pipework; the gas was shut off, the tenant evacuated. The boiler installer came back as soon as Boilerandinstall were notified, and corrected the fault, but a new independent gas safety test had to be commissioned for the tenant's peace of mind.

As this review raises serious concerns regarding gas safety, we believe it is important to provide a factual account of the events for the benefit of future customers.

We take all gas safety concerns extremely seriously and acted immediately upon being notified of a potential issue at the property. While we appreciate the concern and inconvenience caused to the tenant, it is important to clarify the facts surrounding this matter.

Following the boiler installation, a full gas tightness test was carried out both before and after commissioning, with timestamped photographic evidence recorded as part of our installation process. These tests confirmed there were no gas leaks present at the time of installation.

It is also important to correct an inaccuracy within your review. The smell of gas was reported by the tenant five days after the installation was completed, not three days as stated. Given that the installation passed multiple tightness tests at the time of commissioning, this naturally raises the question of why a gas smell was not noticed sooner if the boiler had genuinely been leaking from the point of installation.

For clarity, the sequence of events was as follows:

1. The tenant (not the reviewer) contacted Boiler & Install on Sunday evening, reporting that she could smell gas. She was immediately instructed to contact the Gas Emergency Service.

2. The gas board attended and capped the gas meter as a precautionary measure. A brief written report was provided; however, no supporting evidence, readings, or detailed findings confirming a gas leak have been supplied to date.

3. The following morning (Bank Holiday Monday), the reviewer contacted Boiler & Install. We attended the property immediately.

4. Before any work was to be undertaken, our engineer carried out a further tightness test in the tenant's presence. He then spent over two hours conducting extensive investigations, including multiple tests within the property and neighbouring properties. No gas leak was identified during any of these investigations.

5. For additional reassurance, the reviewer elected to arrange for an independent third party to carry out their own tightness test. We understand that our installation passed this test without issue.

It is also important to note that the reviewer was not present at the property during any of the investigations or testing process and is therefore relying on second-hand information.

Due to the seriousness of the allegations made, we took time to conduct a comprehensive internal review before responding. Our findings show that every report was acted upon promptly, thoroughly investigated and independently verified, with no evidence found to suggest that our installation was leaking gas.

We trust this clarifies the situation and demonstrates the thorough and professional approach we have taken throughout. Should you wish to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

I had a new boiler installed and…

I had a new boiler installed and couldn’t be happier with the service. From the initial quote to the final installation, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The engineers arrived on time, were friendly and respectful, and left everything clean and tidy once the job was done.

They took the time to explain how the system works and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated. The boiler is running perfectly, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality installation.

New boiler installation

Extremely impressed with the service starting with the initial online survey and prompt quotation. Our new boiler and two replacement radiators were fitted by Chris very efficiently in a single day. There was minimal disruption and everything was left clean and tidy. I have no hesitation in fully recommending this company.

Big thank you to Dale and Chris for…

Big thank you to Dale and Chris for sorting the issue we had at home!
We moved into a new house in June last year, and the hot water and heating is done via a 10 years old combi boiler.
When I say a new house, it's new to us, not the house which is a 100ish years old!
Few days ago, loss of pressure happened and the boiler shut down returning a E119 error message. I love to try to sort stuff myself, so quick google search and the pressure is back on no problems.
30 minutes later, I notice that the spotlights on the kitchen ceiling are leaking. Surely that can't be normal I'm thinking!
I head upstairs, remove the nice mandatory English carpeted floor, then rip some of a weird foam underlay, unveiling old looking floorboard.
I see some copper between two floorboard, right underneath them. Odd I thought. I remove couple of floorboard around where the leak is meant to come from, and what a surprise, a huge variety of jesus christ style rusty nails, plasterboard screws, some stapples etc. The typical mess you expect to find that type of houses, and one of the nail basically was putting pressure against the pipe, and with time, heat and motion, fractured the copper which lead to a micro leak, enough to likely make the pressure drop over a long period of time. When I put the pressure back on, it was likely too much for the pipe and it really raptured and made a bigger hole, leading to a real visible leak.
I thought I would fix it, went to screwfix, spend a bit in buying gas, piezo burner, patching system etc.
Well, to each their job, and I couldn't fix it myself, so thought of Dale which I know for IT/Tech related matters. Texted him asking for help and advise. Suffice to say that Chris showed up as soon as he could, and the whole issue was dealt with within 90 minutes, which included a service of the boiler (which we didn't get done since we moved in).
Long story (short?), I couldn't recommend them more for plumbing issues and water heating related matters. They are very professional, care a lot , and Chris took time to explain a lot of the why, what, how etc!
Also, their rate is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of service, and I will sign up to their subscription model for service and repair!
Thanks a lot Dale and Chris! I will certainly just call directly next time anything requires pipes and water related stuff! To each their job, and you're doing yours amazingly!

Brilliant Boiler and Install

From the moment I contacted B&Install I got the support of Josh who quickly identified that the boiler was under warranty (another form was going to charge me £1200 for work Vaillant ended up carrying out for nothing) and went on to give us a quote for 50% of the level those other boiler people quoted saving us being ripped off (another £2500 saved) for installing a Baxi immersion tank, Installation - on time and efficient - high standard of workmanship and all waste/packaging removed. Superb.

Smooth install and excellent customer service

Really pleased with the service. Josh scoped the job via video call and provided a clear quote at a reasonable price. The initial installation date was a bit further out, but as I had no hot water it became urgent - Dale helped bring the date forward, which I really appreciated.
Chris completed the installation and was brilliant - professional, clear, and made sure everything was tested and working before he left. Great communication throughout and I’d definitely recommend.

First class company.

From the first contact with Josh at The Boiler & Install Company I was reassured by their knowledge the best option for me and their patience with my questions. There was no sales pressure, just plenty of information to help me choose the right boiler. An install date was arranged and the engineer came on time, fitted the boiler and explained everything. The whole process was very straightforward and I would happily recommend this company to anyone needing a new boiler.

Good work

Chris arrived on time to carry out the survey and clearly explained several options, helping me choose the one that best suited my needs. He came across as very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions thoroughly.

Afterwards, Dale followed up and went through the quotation with helpful video explanations, which made it much easier for me to understand the differences between each option.

The on-site work was completed efficiently, and everything was left tidy and clean. The pipes were installed neatly, and the entire job was finished on time. I’m very happy with the overall service and the quality of the work.
