These radiators are really good, very small in size but really heat up my room well. A bit complicated to set up, the utube helps so much, but our controls were more advanced than was showing, telephone help weren’t that helpful, we managed to sort it ourselves.

4 radiators purchased in 2022, 2 of which are now broken after less than 3 years. There are much more robust electric heating options in the market please for comparable prices. No help offered as the warranty period is very short. Would avoid Electric Radiators Direct in the future.

Now with added claaaaang!
These radiators have been the bane of our lives.
Extremely difficult to set up. It takes three apps to links to Google Assistant. Often the radiators disengage from wifi - meaning the process has to be begun from scratch.
Now, the clang! We all expect radiators to make some noise as they heat and cool. These radiators do not disappoint in that respect. When the radiator is ‘on’ heating, cooling or at desired temperature you’ll be met will loud clangs, pops and blips. These are constant companions. Rather than the radiator merging into the background of a room it jostles it way to the front of conversation, tv and music. Clang! Clang! Pop! Clang!
If you want a good night’s sleep – these are not the radiators for you. Set to temperature control of say 17 the radiators will clang as they heat/cool – the noise woke us up so much we now turn them off 2 hours before bed and still they can clang. If your home has children, or a family member is in cognitive decline, diagnosed with hyperacausis, or is neurodivergent we would urge you to stay well clear of these products.
We’ve been in contact with the designer/supplier and we’re told in a roundabout way that such noises are to be expected, in fact the company claims the noises produced are “normal”? If it’s so “normal” why then is this not stated clearly on the advert or product specification? We’d suggest the reason is that people like us wouldn’t buy them if we’re expected to accept what we consider to be unexpected, loud noises. We’d say we’d accept the semi-regular blip and would possibly acknowledge the odd pop, but the loud clangs are far from acceptable.
The radiators are within warranty – yet the burden of proof is upon me to identify fault?
Our experience has shown that despite its various trading names: Electric Radiators Direct, Infrared Heaters Direct, Heating Point, or Storage Heaters Direct this company lacks appropriate customer care with products that, as far as we are concerened, are not fit for purpose. They do heat a room. Clang. They are wifi enabled. Disconnect. Clang! Room temperature can be controlled. Clang!
If you’re looking for radiators that go Clang! Pop! Blip then these are the radiators for you!
UPDATE
The response below reads as though from fantasy fiction. I agree "It shouldn't be loud enough to disrupt your day to day." But it is. It is loud enough the disrupt our day to the point they're tuned off and alternate heating used. "Diagnosing issues is dependent on..." Electric Radiators Direct being open to what the customer is saying instead of parrot-like repition of the heating and cooling mantra. Of course they heat and cool. Of course there will some some noise. But this Claaaang! over six radiators is wholly unacceptable. If the noise is 'acceptable' why does it not appear on the product specs, at the point of sale for customers - as something to be mindful of? A peculiar ommission if the noise is 'normal'?
I sent video as requested. I was then told the video clips I took were not long enough but that Electric Radiators Direct deemed to noise as 'normal'? I edited the video down to send two via email. I received no instruction as to the size of video clips required. Nor was audio recording required? No matter when this clang happens it is unacceptable. Whether that be within seconds or minutes. We should not be expected to endure this level of noise from a heating appliance.
At one point I was advised to take the radiators off the wall to make sure the brackets were level? As was pointed out - all I would need is a spirit level. No need to remove the radiators. It doesn't inspire confidence.
Now, this is rather illuminating "Alternatively, we can test the units you are having issues with." Why has this never been mentioned in correspodence - which is ongoing with customer service / technical team? Odd?
I can only repeat avoid these radiators. One would be bad enough. Six is intolerable.

We have purchased a total of 6 radiators from Electrical Radiators Direct the last being in November 24 this was 2 Ecostrad iQ Ceramic WiFi Controlled Electric Radiator - 1500w for our bedrooms.
They look good were easy to fit and connect and are more than sufficient for our needs.
