Contacted support about an error that…

Contacted support about an error that came up on the radiator, after providing pictures of the error and serial number of the unit, I was immediately sent a replacement unit without question. Very impressed with the service, highly recommended.

AVOID!!

AVOID!!! Bought 8 Ecostrad Ecowarme radiators for my mother's house. After just over 2 years, one stopped working. Spoke to customer service who said the warranty on electrical parts is only 2 years (despite the marketing blurb saying 5 years!). Their only suggestion was to buy a new one (around £500). Now another one has failed in exactly the same way, and they are still less than 4 years old. As other people are having similar problems, there is clearly a systematic fault with these radiators, but the company won't acknowledge it.

I am sorry you have units that have failed, we did contact the manufacturer on your behalf to discuss repair options, unfortunately there are no spare parts available and advised you of this.
Your warranty expired in July 2023 meaning you are not eligible for replacement under warranty.

All warranty information can be found on the warranty section of the product page and in the manuals that are also available.

Customer service

I bought a large ceramic electric radiator which unfortunately was delivered damaged. The parcel was properly packed so the damage probably occurred during transport, which can happen when moving heavy items.

The customer service team responded promptly and immediately offered a replacement and arranged the collection of the faulty item.

So far, I'm satisfied with the service provided.

Fantastic customer service

Fantastic customer service. I ordered 2 portable radiators in November 2024. When they arrived one had a slight dent but we’d discarded the packaging so accepted it. I then noticed that it didn’t heat up quite as much as the other but still didn’t do anything. However in march 2025, on a particularly cold day, I decided to email to see if there was any chance of an exchange. I really didn’t expect anything due to the time lapse. The next day I received an email advising they were sending me a replacement and would I be happy to dispose of the damaged unit; if not to contact them. The next day my new radiator arrived. There were no questions, they didn’t ask for order numbers or question the fact it was months later. I am so impressed with this service; they have gone way beyond my expectations. In terms of the radiators - they are lovely. Fabulous colour and suit our decor perfectly- thank you - I will definitely recommend this company.

Do Not Purchase, Leaked and Very Poor Customer Service

I am so upset and disappointed with the unit and with customer service.

It looks stunning and was installed fine (after it taking ages to find someone who knew how to insert the heating element in to the actual radiator) but then it started leaking at the nut and where the wire comes out of the control console (pretty dangerous as this runs directly to power socket). The liquid also smells awful and I presume quite dangerous to pets (I have two cats).

After being back and forth with customer service for weeks and sending photo after photo they have only sent me radiator but no heating element. They are now refusing to replace the heating element, so I’m now left with a radiator with no heating element.

Really upset and really disappointed.

Having looked into our correspondence the reason for the fault was due to poor installation.
We are still working with you to find a resolution however the warranty is void on the element due to the improper installation.

Good range of products, great service

A good range of products - the EcoSmart electric radiators are very good, and easy to use. Pricing is competitive. But it's the service and delivery that stands out. I bought six electric radiators from three suppliers (two from Electric Radiators Direct, or ERD). The two from ERD are the only ones that arrived on time, and very well packaged. One from Victorian Plumbing arrived broken due to weak packaging. ERD is also the only supplier to follow up with user guides, installation help and just really good after-sales service. I've gone back to ERD to order the replacement radiator for the one that arrived broken from another supplier. Very happy to recommend them.

Appalling customer service. 3 months after my order never turned up, I still don't have a refund. And if the company bother replying to this, it's order number 3000098930. Look it up yourself.

Rude

They claim the radiators to be eco but cost a fortune to run. When we spoke with customer service after only a week, they refused to allow a return and were very rude and unhelpful. Never had such poor customer service.

The Ecostrad IQ ceramic radiators are not worth…

The IQ ceramic radiators are not worth the money. All of mine are now faulty and at only a few weeks over 2 years old they won’t help and no parts can be changed. All have to go in the bin. How is this acceptable or reasonable given the very high price? The company have feefo reviews on their website totally different to these on trust pilot. They only allow certain ones or only brand new customers- not people with any actual experience of the terrible reliability. We have no voice or right to tell others apparently. Try and post a review on their website. You can’t. If you want these radiators buy them from much cheaper outlets as they’re exactly the same. They’ll break but at least you won’t lose too much. Feels very frustrating in my opinion to now see true reviews of the radiators from other people who have been let down. This is factually correct and not libel so please don’t remove as you did before. Take the feedback and act on it. I will save images of my review this time. Thank you.

Update- yes I have spoken twice with your staff about the faults and told that they cannot be fixed. I can see everyone saying the same on the other trust pilot review page for Ecostrad iq ceramic. It is terrible that you only let certain new customers post reviews on your feefo page.

I can assure you, we do not delete reviews. It is impossible to delete reviews on trustpilot, we have a mix of organic and invited reviews on trustpilot. You can only review on Feefo if you have been invited to do so, not every customer is invited to do so which is why you may not have received an invite.

Referring to the fault, are you able to provide further information to your ticket or order number so the customer service manager can respond to you?
We can provide spare parts for some faults but not all at this time unfortunately.

Avoid. Awful service. Faulty product.

I am appalled. Bought an expensive wifi controlled electric water filled radiator. It’s supposed to come pre-filled. Only part of it warmed up. I called. Couldn’t get through. Left a message. Someone tried to ring me and then hung up on me. I had barely given my name. Then got an email to go buy antifreeze and hire an electrician to come fix it with a jumble of unclear instructions that meant so little. Then they said they would give me £30 for the electrician. I don’t know what planet they are living on but when does an electrician cost £30.
I’ve tried again and again to get a hold of them. Nothing.
I finally emailed them another compliant asking for my money back. No reply yet. I would avoid this company completely!!!

I am sorry that the resolution presented isn't acceptable. For the issue you have described, there are alternative resolutions which the team will go through with you in our reply, we have provided the most favourable resolution initially.
Issues with fluid levels are generally a result of fluid being lost during installation, our units do go through quality control checks.

We have been unable to reply to your email just yet as you replied on Thursday afternoon, and we are closed over the weekend. However the team have picked this up urgently.

Friendly, helpful & efficient

For whatever reason a heating element failed. I contacted Electric Radiators Direct, and was answered by a very helpful, understanding response. The lady quickly took the details and a replacement quickly arrived. All sorted.

Non existent after sales care

Bought a radiator which is actually faulty. 4 weeks later and still no response let alone a resolution…

I have already explained to your team that the furniture was placed in that room solely for storage due to ongoing work in the house. This was after the issue with the radiator had already appeared. Additionally, the radiator was only turned back on after waiting two weeks for a response from your team, during which you specifically requested a picture.
It now appears that this request was simply a way to find an excuse to deny the warranty, rather than addressing the actual fault. I expect this to be reviewed fairly and in line with the warranty terms.

Update - Lauren Baird has taken the time to look into this matter and they are honouring the exchange. Thanks Lauren!
