I recently bought an Engine Pro 2.0 and… wow. I’m convinced it was packed by someone with Tetris world‑champion skills. Easiest bike I’ve ever assembled — I think the box practically unpacked itself.
I loved it so much that I immediately bought an Engine 3.0 Boost. That’s when I discovered my wife’s legs are, shall we say, not quite Boost‑compatible. Seat height: 1. Wife: 0.
So I emailed Engwe customer service and ended up speaking with Lydia, who deserves a medal, a raise, and possibly a holiday. She helped us swap it for an L20 3.0 Pro, which fits my wife perfectly and restored peace in the household.
Honestly, Engwe has been brilliant from start to finish — great bikes, great service, and no marital disputes over saddle height.
We’re looking forward to many miles of riding together… ideally without getting too out of breath for a pair of “older” riders 😀

They are a terrible company, had over 70 emails back and fourth with them trying to rectify major issues with my LE20 cargo bike. I have been out of work for over 2 weeks so far, and still waiting for parts to be sent. Customer service is shocking, shoutout to Lydia, getting £80 compensation for missing £1.5k from work as i can't travel. Find a local company in your country you can go to for repairs and checkups, its alot easier in the long run. Also tried multiple times to return the bike to which they just brushed off and offered small increases in compensation.

We have the engine x and the le20 both bikes are over a year old now and are still working perfectly best bikes we have ever owned.

Engwe have been really helpful at resolving a small issue with my bike , the bike is amazing and a god send for my new job , gets me there and back in a breeze and makes my day so much easier , due to the time zone difference it can take a day to respond but they have been more than helpful and i felt like they wanted to really help and they followed through with what they promised , I am not paid to say this , it’s an honest opinion on my experience ,i was worried at first as i read some bad reviews but it’s a large company and if you read on other companies that sell e-bikes it’s the same throughout , what mattered is they helped and that’s the main thing and this company is growing and more service centres are appearing , my bike is a p275 se and is an amazing bike for its price , I put some puncture proof tires on and i fly round my city with ease , people say the bike is weak on hills but it isn’t , on very steep hills it will slow down a bit but it still gets you up and tbh i find it more practical than the fat tire ones because to fly round your city on it’s like a bat mobile , so under rated and it’s also a head turner , the pictures online don’t do it justice .
Don’t hesitate , I highly recommend the p275se for its price , you won’t find better i’m sure of it .

Received my ENGWE 2 3.0 Boost on 2 Feb 2026 with a defective rear wheel (flat spot/wobble). Reported immediately with photos/videos. Repair attempt confirmed it cannot be fixed.
Still awaiting a refund or replacement.untill today i didn't got a chance to ride it, is just sitting. Publicly sharing my experience so ENGWE resolves this promptly. A Section 75 claim with my credit card provider will be next if no action is taken.
UPDATE:
ENGWE replied publicly and said the case was escalated to the UK team. However, in private emails they confirmed the replacement rear wheel is currently out of stock with no estimated delivery date.
They also confirmed that the previously promised £45 repair refund did not process due to a “system malfunction”, so I have still not received that refund either, the £45 is the attempt of going to repair it at a bike shop.
Instead of resolving the issue with a full refund for a bike that arrived faulty, they offered £150 compensation if I wait indefinitely for a replacement wheel.
I have declined this offer and formally rejected the bike under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I have requested a full refund for the bicycle and the £45 repair cost.
If this is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider.
FINAL UPDATE (CASE RESOLVED):
I am updating this review to provide a complete and fair outcome.
After returning the e-bike, ENGWE has now issued a full refund, which has been received in my account.
The bike originally arrived with a defective rear wheel and was unusable from delivery. The fault was reported immediately with photo and video evidence, and a repair attempt confirmed the issue could not be fixed. The resolution process took several weeks and required continuous follow-up, as well as formally rejecting the bike under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and preparing a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider.
Although the refund was ultimately completed, the process itself was slow and required significant persistence from the customer side before a final resolution was reached.
I am leaving this review updated so future buyers can see both sides of the experience — the initial problem and the eventual resolution.
Positive outcome in the end, but the after-sales support experience could be improved significantly.
For future buyers, I would personally recommend ensuring you purchase through a retailer with accessible local support and service options, as this can make a significant difference if any issues arise. (Note, buy eith a credit card so can be backed up even better by section 75).

The website experience was very easy and clear to order.
Upon arrival of my new bike there was a minor issue with it which was rectified very quickly, via email, through their customer service team. Their response team was very efficient, polite, speedy and swift! No complaints whatsoever!
I am SO happy with my EngWe P275 SE! I absolutely love it!
Coming from a traditional 3 gear bike to a 7 gear derailleur was game changing! Add to that the assistance from the PAS, makes this a great bike! I would thoroughly recommend this company and bike!

Bought an E26 from Engwe and realised, after a while, that the front fork was bent. There was no sign of damage to the original packaging nor to the fork itself and I'd been riding the bike for a couple of months (though without any crashes!).
I contacted Engwe and the send out a replacement form and headstock with no quibble. The bike rides even better now and I have to commend the after-sales service from Engwe.

I have already posted a review of the Engwe L20 3.0 Pro ebike that I bought in December 2025. This is an additional post to give a shout out for the customer support at Engwe. I had cause to contact them for a couple of minor points over the weeks following my purchase. Without fail I always had a reply back straight away. Always very polite and trying their very best to be as helpful and prompt as possible, in a very friendly and kind manner. Customer service is extremely important when buying online and Engwe excel in the quality of their service in this respect. I just thought they deserve a mention.

I purchased the Engwe LE20 on 5th April 2025 to use for dropping off and picking up my 6‑year‑old son from school and sports activities. Overall, the bike has been excellent. It has great battery life, large tyres, and a sturdy, safe design. It includes all the features you would expect from a cargo-style bike, and both my son and I are very happy using it in London.
There are just a couple of small improvements that could make the bike even better:
Slightly reducing the bike’s overall length—even by 1 cm.
I park it in a Cyclehoop bike hanger (a common council-provided cycle storage unit across London and the UK). The bike does fit, and I manage to park it, but it’s a very tight squeeze. A small reduction in length would make parking much more comfortable.
Faster delivery for accessories.
When ordering accessories, delivery takes quite a long time. It seems they ship directly from the manufacturing facility rather than from a UK or European warehouse. If Engwe could maintain local stock in London or Europe, accessories could arrive within 1–2 days, which would be very helpful for customers.
Regarding after‑sales service, I am genuinely impressed. They quickly create a support ticket whenever there’s an issue. Although they often ask customers to visit a mechanic, I’ve handled all repairs myself. I once faced a motor issue, and they promptly sent me a replacement motor. Excellent support overall.
My request to the company:
Please list all accessories and spare parts on the website—right down to nuts and bolts—so customers can easily purchase whatever they need and receive quicker delivery.
Overall, it’s a full‑featured, reliable bike, and I’m very happy with it. Keep up the great work and strong after‑sales support. Thank you!

I had bought a cargo ebike Le20. the order was delivered in time just over 1 week.
the customer service was excellent and replied to all my queries within 1 working day.
the bike itself is as described and have not had any issues so far and kids enjoyed it.
i simply don't regret buying this ebike.

Great bike, I really like my P20. I had some warranty issues, but they were dealt with very quickly, and I received a replacement together with video instructions, which was very helpful.
In general, the P20 is a great bike. There are a few things I would improve: the saddle, a gel version would be great; the fork bearing, instead of steel balls, it would be nice to have the newer tapered type, which is inexpensive but gives a much more premium feel; and if the fork could have a mono-shock suspension, that would make it an ideal bike for the price. :D

After researching several options, I purchased this e-bike for my son and have been very impressed with the quality. It offers excellent value for money and doesn’t feel like a budget bike at all. The pedal-assist system works brilliantly, the Shimano gears are smooth, and the front suspension combined with the comfortable seat and suspension seat post makes for a very comfortable ride. My son is thoroughly enjoying it, and I am extremely pleased with both the bike and the Engwe team. Highly recommended.
