Careless Idiots
We rented a car from them for a three (and a half) days only. 'Luckily enough´, I forgot my wallet in the car, called them immediately, but they had already rented the car further. Good for me, I had my passport with me, otherwise I would not be able to leave the country the next day. After I spent load of time and money issuing my new documents back home, these morons called me to inform me that they found my wallet in the car indeed, but I have to arrange a courier to pick it up for me. Unbelievable for the money we paid, they are not even able to check the car before renting it further in only couple of hours. This is the 'service' you get for your money.

Firefly Car Rental Bari Airport
To find the meeting point for the shuttle bus was already a mission. "Keep walking past the P2D parking area..." P2D parking area does not exist at all. After we asked a few people, we managed to find the roundabout eventually, where we met other people waiting for the shuttle bus. They called Firefly to let them know, that we are waiting. After 35 minutes wait the van finally turned up.
At the rental desk I was told that I can either leave €2000 deposit, or I have to buy their insurance for €166.
Before my trip I did look for the amount I will have to leave as deposit on Firefly website, but did not find any clear information. This was not the first time I rented a car, and I have never had to leave more than £600 deposit, so I was not expecting that they will ask me to leave €2000.
I did not want to buy another insurance since I have already purchased Excess Refund Insurance, but it turned out that my limit on my credit card is £800. The agent at the desk was talking to me in a really rude way, he even said that I can go somewhere else, if I do not want to pay for the insurance.
I had no option, but to pay another €166. They gave me a car, which was dirty, the tank was not full(even though it was a full to full fuel policy), so I had to go back to the rental desk and tell them, there was no windscreen washer liquid in the car, the pressure in the right rear tire was much lower than in the other ones, and I was getting random error messages.
Returning the car was somewhat smoother, although I had a weird situation. After I gave the key back I was told to go back to the rental desk and the agent will print me out the final receipt. So I went to the desk and told the agent what I was there for, but he did not want to talk to me, he just kept looking at his computer like I was not there. I tried to ask him again, but nothing. A few minutes later another agent came in, and he printed me the receipt.
obligation to wash the car before returning it?
In rental in Olbia local staff threatened me to ask 120 euro more if the car was not returned clean as I had withdrawn it.
Obviously a car, after a week of use, may not be perfectly clean.
That is why I had to lose precious hours of my vacation looking for a car wash.
I am a frequent user of car rentals and it had never happened such a thing.
I would understand by FireFly if this is a common practice or if it is an abuse of your employees.
Incidentally the FireFly employees of Olbia were extremely rude with me and with other customers.
Har aldrig oplevet værre kundeservice
Vi havde booket flybilletter og leje bil gennem Ryanair og dermed firefly. Vores fly var forsinket 2 timer og det resulterede i at biludlejningen havde lukket da vi landede i lufthavnen. Ved booking skulle man oplyse fly nr, så det er os en gåde hvorfor man ikke holder åbent når man ved at flyet er forsinket og når man ved at alt i lufthavnen inklusiv busserne stopper kl 1.
Det kostede os 110 euro med taxa til vores hotel. Næste dag ringede vi til firefly der var ingen forståelse for noget. Vi brugte en halv dag på at komme med bus ud til lufthavnen for at hente vores bil og da vi ankom til lufthavnen var der 1.5 times kø for at få bilen. Vi blev ikke kompenseret på nogen måde. Vi kommer aldrig til at leje bil gennem firefly og Ryanair igen.

Terrible Experience car was faulty, it broke down, took 3 hrs for their emergency service to arrive. They did not bring a replacement car with them. Had to take taxi to airport to look for replacement Car, they were not available, they are owned by Hertz. Spoke to Hertz and they could not give us another and said we had to wait till the morning when firefly opens which was unacceptable so had to get a new rental from Avis. They provide customers with faulty cars that are not road worthy or safe. You will be risking your life by renting from Firefly.
Firefly - Nie wieder!
Wir hatten bei Firefly für unseren Sizilien Urlaub ein Auto angemietet, dass wir am Flughafen Palermo abholen wollten. Zunächst mussten wir erstmal bei Firefly anrufen, damit uns jemand ca. eine Stunde später endlich dort abholt. Nach einer halbstündigen Fahrt ins Nirgendwo kamen wir endlich bei der Autovermietung an. Dort wollte man uns das Auto dennoch nicht übergeben, da unsere Kreditkarte (die bereits weltweit problemlos im Einsatz war) angeblich keine "echte" Kreditkarte war. Darüber hinaus hatten wir das Auto bereits im Vorfeld vollständig bezahlt. Wir haben auch eine Voll-Kasko Versicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung mit allem drum und dran abgeschlossen und mussten demnach auch keinerlei Kaution mehr hinterlegen. Uns war daher nicht klar, wozu es überhaupt noch eine Kreditkarte braucht. Auch ein Anruf bei unserem Kreditinstitut, dass die "Echtheit" unserer Kreditkarte bestätigte brachte keine Besserung. Das Personal hat uns anschließend schlichtweg ignoriert. Wir mussten dann wieder eine halbe Ewigkeit warten bis uns jemand zum Flughafen zurückfuhr und dort ein neues Auto mieten. Bei jeder anderen Autovermietung wurde die Kreditkarte auch problemlos akzeptiert. Der erste Urlaubstag war aber dennoch gelaufen und jetzt dürfen wir auch noch unserem bereits bezahlten Geld hinterherlaufen.

An unethical company with fraudulent charges
We rented for one week with Firefly in Sicily, picking up in Catania and returning in Palermo.
When picking up, the associate gave me the contract twenty minutes before I actually received the car - which I didn't mind at the time. Therefore, the time printed on the contract said 6:12 and I received the car at 6:30.
When it came time to return the car - imagine our surprise when we were charged a full extra day ($71 USD). We had pulled into the Firefly lot at 6:10 (with GPS records to prove). We were then told to refuel, so we did and returned at 6:20. The attendents then ignored us until 6:45 when they did inspection and check-in, and declared us late.
Despite many efforts with Firefly customer service, we cannot ge this charge refunded. I am now pursuing the matter with my credit card company.

Le indicazioni per il ritiro auto sulla mail erano sbagliate, hanno cambiato posto ma non le indicazioni! Si aspetta una decina di minuti il mezzo che ti porta alla Firefly letteramente mezzo alla strada e senza ripari.
L'auto che ci hanno consegnato era LERCIA e la quinta marcia non poteva essere inserita.
Il personale veramente poco cortese.

Car and service at Bergamo airport was excellent.
The car was in a good condition, and the service at the desk was quick. I even got a change to choose the car. There were brand new snowchains in the trunk, which I used for driving on the snowy roads to the ski resort in North Italy. The car drop-off after the trip was smooth as well.
Ottimo servizio a ROMA FIUMICINO
Sconvolto da un autonoleggio che non accetta come unico documento la patente di guida, recupero il numero della sede Firefly di fiumicino e il cortese operatore mi informa che la patente è sufficiente quale documento di identità.
L'ufficio non si trova nel terminal, ma basta recarsi all'uscita del terminal 2, oltrepassare e attendere sull'isola antistante. Arriverà la navetta che in 10 minuti scarsi vi condurrà all'autonoleggio. Qui io e la mia famiglia abbiamo trovato persone disponibili a qualsiasi richiesta e chiarimento. In pratica hanno salvato il mio viaggio.
Alla riconsegna le operazioni sono state velocissime, e subito dopo siamo stati riaccompagnati in aerostazione.
Non posso che consigliare Firefly, e anzi mi stupiscono tutte le recensioni negative.

On the March 2015 I reserved, booked and payed for a FireFly rental car. 405,16 Euros. The car included a normal CDW insurance which was exactly what I wanted, So, I specifically choose not to include an extra (SCDW) insurance.
When I picked up the car (a Ford Fiesta) in Rome in the airport in July, the customer service agent asked me if I wanted an additional insurance (SCDW). I said "No, thanks. I’m already covered". I thought she understood.
When I returned the car again on July 30th, I asked if "everything was ok?". The agent from Firefly confirmed that I had already payed for everything. There was "no additional charges besides the fee for the baby seat" (85 euros). That's ok, I thought.
When I can back home to Denmark, I noticed on my back account information that Fire Fly had charged me an additional 154 euros for a SCDW insurance which I specifically (two times in facts!) tried to avoid. I even told the customer service agent face-to-face that I did not want extra insurances.
I then called the customer service agent in Rome. He notified me that there was nothing he could do. Apparently they had added the SCDW insurance when I checked out.
I've sent a complaint to Fire Fly, but they don't care.
3 months after this incident (November 2015), I notice that Fire Fly is now charging me again! EUR 42,70. Out of the blue. Is this some sort of sick joke?
Well, I emailed their service desk again. They inform me that the amount apparently covers "a fine", but they don't give me details (or documentation!) And the fact is that I did not get any fines whatsoever during my stay in Italy! So, it's completely absurd that they are now charging me extra...
It's also pretty far out that Fire Fly can get away with this without providing me with any information/documentation (or some kinds of receipt) that tells me what the issue with "the fine" is all about.
I wish the was some sort of European rental car company authority that could look into these matters... it's absurd that they can get away with it!

Det lød som et godt tilbud. En Ford Focus eller lignende i 12 dage til en god pris lød godt."Eller lignende" viste sig at være en uvasket, lurvet Opel Corsa med 48000 km på bagen. Jeg havde bestilt fuld til fuld tank, fordi jeg hader den luskede tom til tom tank, men tanken var kun trekvart fuld. Bilen var tydeligt ikke klargjort. Ej heller med en eneste dråbe sprinklervæske. Konklusion: sjusk og manglende service. Den gode nyhed: bilen kørte udmærket. Men den var jo også tilkørt!
Worst carrental experience ever!
Worst carrental experience we've ever had. Demanden to block 1500Euro on our creditcard, although we had full insurance. My personal card couldn't handle this amount, so we had to use another card with my girlfriends name on it. They then wanted us to pay 65 Euro for a 2nd driver, even though she doesn't even have a drivers license. When we picked up the car, it had long scratches everywhere, and LUCKILY we took photos of the car from all angles. When we returned the car, they tried to accuse us for some of the damages, but our photos proved them wrong, thank god we took photos!!
They also tried to sell us even more insurance, although we already had bought full insurance from home. We had to return the car a day earlier since they didn't allow us to put the keys in a box (like everywhere else, where we have rented a car). USELESS company, never again!
Firefily scorretta e ingannevole
Firefly è inaffidabile e scorretta!!!
tutto è successo all'aeroporto di cagliari, dove il personale è molto indisponente. Ho pagato, tramite rentalcars, una Panda o auto similare (con tanto di foto in belle mostra di una Panda) poi al momento del ritiro mi hanno dato una Fiat 500 con 2 porte facendomi notare che in piccolino c'è scritto che avrei avuto una 2 porte. La Panda a 2 porte non esiste, allora perchè scrivere due porte e scrivere Panda o similari ???? mettere una grande foto della Panda e scrivere in piccolo che riceverò una 2 porte e' fatto apposta per trarre in inganno!!! e ciò è scorretto!!!!! alla fine siamo stati molto scomodi perchè la 500 è molto più piccola della Panda. INoltre le gomme erano in pessimo stato, usurate e sbucciate qua e là e significa che non gliene frega un cavolo della nostra sicurezza!!!!! ci mettessero i loro figli a viaggiare con quei pneumatici!!!!!e poi la macchina ce l'hanno data molto sporca sia dentro che fuori. e poi avevo tutte le coperture assicurative pagate, ma al dunque hanno preteso una cauzione con carta di credito di 1.500 euro, oppure dovevo pagare la bellezza di altri 160 euro!!!!e questo non era scritto nella prenotazione. Insomma, mai più rentalcars e mai più firefly!!!! Ingannevoli, sporchi e senza sicurezza.

Ich hatte einen Mietwagen bei check 24 angemietet. Danach kam die Firma Car Del Mar ins Spiel und diese reichte mich dann an die Firma Firefly Italy, einen Hertz-Ableger, weiter.
Obwohl ich das Auto bei Ihnen mit einer Vollkaskoversicherung gebucht hatte, was aus dem vorgelegten Voucher ersichtlich war, bestand Firefly Italy darauf, eine weitere Zusatzversicherung abzuschließen und verweigerte mir ohne Bezahlung dieser Zusatzversicherung die Herausgabe des Fahrzeuges.
Aufgrund mangelnder Sprachkenntnisse mußte ich dieser Forderung nachgeben, was mich anfänglich 12,—€ täglich kosten sollte, letztendlich aber mit 208,99€ zu Buche schlug. Erst nach Zahlung dieses Betrages wurden mir dann die Autoschlüssel und der Inspektionsreport ausgehändigt. Anschließend stellte sich dann heraus, dass sich da Fahrzeug in sehr schlechtem Zustand befand. Es wies vorne links einen großen Kratzer auf, die Antenne fehlte ganz, ein Vordersitz und die Armaturen waren stark verschmutzt und die vorgeschriebenen Warnwesten fehlten ebenfalls.
Der Gesamteindruck des Vermietungsbüros in Pisa, das Büro selbst und auch das Personal betreffend, war nicht der beste. Während ich „bedient“ wurde, wurde dauernd zwischendurch lamentiert und telefoniert, was ich als sehr störend und kundenunfreundlich empfunden habe.
Da ich bei Ihnen ein Fahrzeug mit Vollkaskoversicherung gebucht und bezahlt habe, mir Ihr Partner aber weiter 208,99€ für diese Versicherung abgenommen hat, um mir das Fahrzeug überhaupt auszuliefern, fordere ich Sie hiermit auf, mir diesen Betrag wieder zurückzuerstatten.
Ich werde nur noch beim Vermieter direkt buchen!
Meine Vermutung ist durch 2 Vermittlungsportale blieb für die Firma Firefly nichts mehr übrig. Also mußte eine Abzocke her um das Auto in stand zu setzen und dafür zu sorgen das noch etwas für die Angestellten übrig blieb.

Sono arrivato a Palermo con Rayanair, le altre volte avevo sempre preso la Herz, questa volta preso dalla stanchezza della caotica vita nella quale viviamo al momento dell'acquisto non mi sono reso conto che avevo scelto un'altra compagnia. Noleggio utilitaria per 4 giorni, prezzo "iniziale" 50€ ma.... intanto il noleggio non si trova in aeroporto, questo lo scopro soltanto dopo aver preso la prima navetta dal nuovo al vecchio scalo di Punta Raisi, altro scandalo e sperpero di soldi pubblici che non è il caso di affrontare in questa sede, fortunatamente la navetta di questo fantomatico noleggio arriva in pochi minuti e mi porta a Cinisi dove il ragazzo che la guidava mi fa accomodare in un piccolo ufficio, li mi incomincia a martellare il cervello spiegandomi che la vettura veniva fornita "solo" con assi.ne RCA, tutto il resto è a parte, cosa fra l'altro diversa dalla mail di conferma che mi è stata inviata in fase d'ordine. Mi spiega che se la macchina viene rubata devo ripagarla per nuova e che per ogni minimo danno avrei dovuto spendere cifre esorbitanti, minimo 400€ x un graffio, € 280 x un pneumatico e così via... quindi mi propone la casko x 4 giorni a soli 150 e rotti, oppure la minicasko (86€) ma restano fuori cristalli e gomme. Vista la situazione e considerate le premesse ho preso la minicasko. La macchina fornita era tutta un graffio, chissà quanto avranno incassato solo con quelle riparazioni mai effettuate e fatte pagare 400€ cad... Tornato 4 gg dopo vado a fare benzina ma il livello del carburante non era salito dopo aver fatto il pieno, resto perplesso e perdo tempo andando presso un'altro benzinaio, li usando il bancomat riesco a forza a far entrare altri pochi 2/3 €; arrivato al noleggio segnalo la cosa, c'era una signorina che apre il cofano e si dirige alla batteria, mi spiega che se ho fatto realmente il pieno se ne sarebbe accorta?!? ancora più sbigottito, da dove se ne poteva accorgere??? Insomma fa staccare la batteria da un "collaboratore" e dopo averla riattaccata il galleggiante rifunziona. Mi puzza anche questa storia ma quello che vi ho raccontato dovrebbe già bastare a tenervi lontani da questa azienda.

Firefly is just a rip-off avenue for Hertz
Picked up a car at Bergamo Italy....it cannot have been legally on the road. Dents all over and when I went back into the office to complain and say I wanted another car as I was worried that the safety of the car was in question I was told I would need to cancel the booking and pay more. So I stuck with what I had.
The worst car I have ever driven. It was a Ford Fiesta and it couldn't do 100kph due to sever vibration.
To top it off, I received an invoice two weeks after rental for 0.75 euros in fuel at their rate of 3.30 a litre, so 220ml. Of course they charged an administration fee for putting 220ml of £3.30. Seriously

Nessuna risposta chiara al momento di restituire la macchina su quando veniva sbloccata la somma di cauzione (1510 euro)
