Thorough. Analysis and recommendations were important to me

The problem is you spend all this money on lab tests, but then they have no doctors available to help you with the results. They give minimal feedback/ recommendations and then you're stuck with problem but with no real solution. They need to have better follow up with actual doctors who can help you embark on the healing process.

Really appreciate all the information. The only thing I didn't like, is that compared to the first time I did this, I thought I would get emails alerted me when they were new results. I got zero alerts this time and we just need to go into my Account every once in a while to see if there were any new results but even then it wasn't obvious which ones were new so it wasn't as smooth as what I did at first a year ago. With my Function lab results as a baseline, I now feel in control of my own health journey. Since I am overall healthy, I have never had a reason to request labs from my GP, but I’ve always been curious to know if there were areas in my health I could improve upon. I’ve been telling everybody I know about Function because access and pricing are no longer barriers to taking charge of your health.

I've had a great experience with Function Health. Very helpful with what supplements to implement in to my diet and what foods to eat more or less of of ro eliminate. Great informative reports and write-ups about my health. Price wise FH is in line with other companies offering the same business model with FH even being the better value / choice.

The whole process was very easy to follow. The facility I selected for my blood test was closed. The clinicians comment was extremely detailed but easy to follow. I had very constructive feedback and recommendations.

Great value! Also, Having the clinical interpretations makes it helpful to know how to understand all the blood markers.

I do not like the lack of options to export my blood tests and provide them to my doctor. I read that there is a pdf version that I can download ONE TIME ...
But I cannot find it. Several places in the results is says to discuss with my doctor.... but you dont make it very easy to do that. NO.. not happy.

I felt disappointed by my overall experience with Function. First, by the time I had already paid the money for lab work, Function informed me that they only take blood samples at specific labs in certain cities. The closest lab to me was a 3 1/2 hour drive away. Not knowing this information prior to purchasing OR having any flexibility on the clan companies with whom Function would work was frustrating and disappointing. Additionally, the communication interface with Function seemed unnecessarily complicated. I was receiving emails, text messages, and messages on my portal. When I did have a question, I just wanted to talk with a person. That proved challenging. I had to go through rounds of back and forth with a AI chat bot Finally, some of the automated communication I received from the company was unclear. The responses were general and vague. Overall, the experience seemed to be more of a hassle than I had anticipated. It seemed like maybe I should have just gone through my primary care doctor for labs. I will say, my experience was not all negative. What I DID like about working with Function was that the report I received about the specifics of my bloodwork was clear and informative. I hope this is helpful to other people who are considering working with Function

After researching biomarker testing services two years ago, I decided to go with Function Health since the user experience looked good and there was just one price for all the basics (although you can add other tests on). When I went to schedule the first appointment for my third year, I answered the normal questions that made sense for blood testing, but noticed there was a whole new page of "Life Experience" questions that included very personal questions on mental health that are unrelated to the biomarkers I chose Function for initially. Some of the questions included a "prefer not to answer" option, but most did not. With where things are with AI, data mining, etc., I'm not comfortable providing that type of data for a service I'm not asking for. Their support team said they'd schedule the appointment for me since I couldn't complete it on my own. I still like the service and have gifted it a couple times, but think they should stay in their lane on the biomarkers, or give people a way of opting out of answering all unrelated mental health questions.

The results were received quickly and in a way that was easy to understand. I especially liked how they were graphed in conjunction with my results from previous years so I can track improvements as well as regressions. I also appreciated how they were broken down into a final report that highlighted the important areas of concern. My PCP has a portal that is confusing, hard to comprehend and offers no recommendations. So Function Health is a welcome change and lets ME take control of my own health thru informed decisions.
