It was a very nice hotel and the coach driver did an excellent job considering the roads in some parts. The courier kept every one supplied with drinks the friendliness of the whole coach. Was superb I can’t think of a single fault it was my second this year and I have two more booked I would ne er consider using any other company. First class

A good number of reasons made this a worthwhile trip. Firstly the organisation, despite problems both way on the road north and back, everything went without fuss.
Hotel was fine with friendly staff. Both the representative, Bev, and the driver were always helpful and Bev made sure we were informed of the plans and interesting points of the daily journeys taken.
Enjoyed very much the three excursions to Alnwick, Bamburgh and Cragside with sufficient time to explore.

Tour guide very kind and helpful 'Nathan '. Hotel rooms clean and comfortable. Food for GF people mostly salad and fruit salad, bot very inspiring . Long journeys on excursions lots of time sitting on coach too much

The hotel was very nice. We had an excellent room on ground level and the food was good. The position of the hotel for the trips included however was too far away, as it took 2 and a half hours to reach Southwold, partly due to a rooky driver who got a bit lost, which did not allow enough time for visiting the town itself as the coach had to be parked by the pier, along way from the town centre.

Toured in a lovely comfortable coach.
Driver Pete and tour manager Catherine were fantastic, friendly, humorous and helpful.
The hotel and staff were wonderful and the rooms were warm, comfortable and showers hot.
The food was amazing! Far better than we’ve had in some much more expensive hotels.
One day tour to Portmadog was disappointing, we could see no reason for going there unless there was a boat tour to the Menai bridge or other tour of some sort.
We felt the time may have been better spent with longer in Betwys y coed or in Llanberis.
Overall it was a good experience of our first tour with this company and hasn’t put us off maybe travelling with them again.

Coach driver and Tour manager we’re great very helpful. Hotel was very tired. Could do with a facelift. Food was good excursions in the rain not so good too long at the stops.

Had nothing to complain about (their was a delay with coach connections but this was out of your control traffic congestion)

Outward journey to long on feeder transport to arrival at tour departure point. 3 hours.
Hotel accommodation & food fabulous.
Daily tours not well balanced.
To long spent in some destinations when more could have been spent in others.

Great tour manager and driver hotel old but good and clean room was large nice sea view food excellent

At the very start of the holiday things went wrong with the coach being 1h 20m late then after 4h 30m we arrived at the change over then after only 15m we were on our way.
Much later we arrived at the hotel which was good.
The food was very poor and the second night I had so called fish and chips and then spent the night with the trots the next day I spoke to four other people who all had the same problem.
Osbourne house was run down
and the place was so packed you couldn’t stop to look at anything.
The highlight of the holiday was when we payed to go on a trip around Portsmouth harbour on a boat.
On reflection I think the holiday could have been better if more points of interest included

The holiday was well organised, no problems with coach transfers from local pick up points. Friendly staff, and sites we visited were as stated in the brochure, pity it rained all week .

We were first pick up on feeder coach and the driver was 1hour & 10 minutes late. Tour driver & rep very good hotel needs T L C but food ok. Same feeder driver on the way home didn’t work his times out so we had to wait 3/4 hour for taxi to take us back to pick up point

This tour was based at Bury St Edmunds just inside the Suffolk border. The trips necessitated lengthy bus journeys, leaving only a short time in the places visited ie Southwold. I would suggest a base more central Suffolk. The Priory was lovely, just a long way from the coast.

We had a good holiday with a good driver who took us all the way from Great Yarmouth to Donegal in Ireland and back.

Great food, comfortable room but mattress springs could be felt, hooks needed on doors. Brilliant guide (Kay) and driver (Andrew). Derwent Hotel entertainment very good and staff very helpful.
Unfortunately, travellers who went to your other hotel said it was dirty and the food was terrible, so we were fortunate but not a good recommendation for another holiday if we were 'unlucky' next time.

The Telford Hotel was clean and tidy in all areas, the staff were friendly and eager to help. Breakfasts were excellent but the evening meals (no doubt prepared on a budget for coach parties) were disappointing and lacking in flavour. With limited time at our disposal because of the excursions it was not possible to make use of other hotel facilities, like the pool. The driver was excellent, so careful and so courteous towads other road users. The tour manger did a basically good jon but was quite ill-prepared for a tour she had not done before.

Good hotel and trips. Taxi pick ups still need addressing as drivers sit in their cars waiting for passengers to reach them which is difficult when we have no idea which car is collecting us. They also do not seem to have much information of where to pick up

Lovely driver and tour manager. Holiday was interesting and a good mix of days out. The hotel was very good and adjacent to the beach and many attractions. I really enjoyed this holiday as a single traveller as well.

The driver & Tour Manager (T.M.) were very good, although the T.M. admitted that her knowledge of the areas we went to was limited to an extent. Leg space on the coach, & which I felt was quite old, could have been better.

The hotel in Preston was excellent. Fantastic room, helpful staff, very clean & very good chef/food. However evening meal menu choice was a bit limited.

My main issue was that the journey to/from the interchange was far longer than previous holidays (3-4 hours) & with traffic delays to & from (also on the way back from Preston). If this happens on my next holiday I may need to reconsider travel with Grand UK in the future as I now seem to be the first pick up for the interchange..

Outings were very good although our River Mersey trip had to be cancelled due to boat dysfunction. However, the T.M. dealt with this excellently & we had a 2 & 1/2 hour guided tour round Liverpool.
