We are on our second booster pump. The first failed and was replaced within the warranty period; with a hassle. The company that sold us the pump was very good at getting the pump replaced. The second pump which is leaking. The original installer stated that there is no "FIX" for the leak. Replacement only. Warranty ran out in April of 2022. Have had the problem since August of 2022. Sent three e mail directly to Grudofos. No reply as of this date. From what I have been told - our pump Type MQ3-45, Model 96860207 is not good at all. Beware of Grundfos.

Our firebird boiler (still under waranty) stopped working over two weeks ago (2/11) we discovered that the pump had failed again. This is the second one to fail. We are still waiting for a replacement. We have been told there are none in stock and have tried multiple times to try and get an update.

Fik installeret en pumpe i 2017 og tegnede oven i købet en service aftale med Grundfos. Her 5 år efter erkender Grundfos de har leveret og serviceret en pumpe som ikke passer til formålet..... De erkender fejlen og vil kompensere med hele 900 kroner :-) Men sender en faktura på godt 21.000 for at rette deres egen fejl...... Ud over der har der været ikke uvæsentlige omkostninger til udkald af kloak firma.... Jeg er ikke i tvivl om Grundfos laver kvalitet.....Men evnerne til at stå ved fejl og yde kundeservice skuffer mig fælt. Kort vil jeg sige "vi ved vi har lavet en pølle - men du får os ikke til at samle den op!.

Jeg har afsendt mail med uddybende forslag/ spørgsmål den 31/8 samt rykket for status 8/9 - dem har jeg aldrig modtaget svar på. Lige meget nu da pumpen er skiftet.
Ligeledes har jeg vendt retur på anden mail fra jer den 15/10 - ligeledes uden at høre fra jer.
Kan jeg forvente svar eller er sagen lukket med stiltiende afslag?

My customer bought a £500 grundfos shower pump with 5 years warranty for their new bathroom. The pump worked perfectly for just over a year when suddenly it wouldn’t turn off. They called grundfos who charged them £120 to send out their engineer. The engineer did a report saying the pump is fine and the installation is incorrect. Free of charge I rectified the installation according to grundfos requirements. The pump still wouldn’t turn off, it was still constantly running. The customer contacted grundfos again only to be told the pump needed relocating AGAIN and it wasn’t the pump it was the installation. Grundfos are the biggest jokers I’ve ever delt with and needless to say I won’t be recommending them to future customers. Complete rip off company. Avoid at all costs, their warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

I have a Grundfos MQ Series installed and it started working erratically. A plumber told me that the bladder in the unit has broken and cannot be replaced because it is a sealed unit. He told me that this is a common problem with these pumps. The pump works fine when it kicks in but without the bladder it fluctuates. I have made multiple attempts to contact Grundfos via their website form and received no response. The only phone numbers I can find are disconnected. What kind of company is this? My plumber told me that he used to sell and install Grundfos pumps but has switched to McDonald pumps because they are modular and they can be repaired. I would like to get mine repaired but may have to have a new McDonald pump installed in its place.
UPDATE: Have finally heard back from Grundfos and they have offered to send me a replacement pump despite the broken pump being slightly out of warranty.
Why we should buy Grundfos products even though prices are much higher then their competition?
They all speak about high quality and perfect servis. Company which believes in its own quality might be confident and generous in warranty process.
Grundfos company offers only six moths extension if you register product online, because they are probably afraid of low-end components from their factory in China.
We have bought several Grundfos pumps, because we were recommended to invest rather more to have reliable watering system in our new house with immediate servis. Reality was really big surprise! One of the pump was dead just a few month after warranty period. We had been waiting for defect analyzis almost two month, having big problem with water supply in our house. Final result was “electronic control unit is dead” and must be exchange on your own expenses (almost for half price of new one). When we ask what could be the reason of this defect, they said (of course off record) “low end component”.
We tried to contact service manager Mr. Dohnal of Grundfos Czech to get top management reaction. He simply explained something like “It is very unusual situation and you have just bad luck”.
No compensation, no apology at all, just “bad luck”? The same we suppose to hear if we buy chinese product, but mostly for half price. Please, think about it!
For me it is quite clear. High branded european company, Grundfos, is selling chinese low-end product with same warranty, but for twice as much. This is not just fault, this is company strategy! Thanks, Grundfos never more!

Pump gave up after a couple of months, waited weeks on a new one, eventually they arrived with the WRONG pump, had to wait another couple of weeks for another one.
Absolute nightmare of a company to deal with or try to speak to someone.
They need to brush up on customer care skills.
BRAVO!!!! It was fitted this morning.
I was horrified when I went on to trustpilot to see all the negative reviews about GRUNDFOS.
If I only knew then what I know now I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole.

We have moved into & new build & a Grundfos pump was installed. After two years living here we noticed water coming up from our floors. We were informed that an internal leak within the pump cause this & destroyed our floors.
We have tried to resolve this with Grundfos & they response is shocking & when they do respond they are asking us to call the insurance company so we can follow up on our claim. We are now out of pocket because we had to get floors all lifted & new ones installed as the house stinks with dampness & unsafe for our children.
There service here in Ireland is the worst I came across. When I call they hang up.
I will keep posted how I get on but I’m not to confident that this will be resolved anyway soon.

so i bought 2 of these pumps the grundfoss model base model that they discontinued probaby because the motors do fail and after they sold millions to the world they finally realised that they failed so they deliberatly discontinued this model to cover up the facts that they sold a pump that fails

Yesterday i purchased a Grundfos pump to be fitted for a customer. The actual plumbing was straigt forward but the electrical adaptor that came with the pump is a disgrace.The screws to connect the wires are cross heads and so tiny that thet just strip the heads on them when tightening them up. Far too small and flimsy. Will never fit a Grundfos again. Why dont all pumps come with a kettle style adaptor?

I have just replaced a Sanispeed macerator pump (didn't need macerator and pump burnt out with hot washing water) with a Grundfos grey water pump.
The replacement was easy and almost identical fittings. Loads of adaptors with the kit - excellent!
The only problem was that one of the anchoring feet was impossible to get at when installed in position so I am left worried about movement. There must be some simple alternative design to get over this.
Ik heb een scala2 pomp van grundfos. Na 2 en nog wat jaar is ze het aan het opgeven: niet goed, maar kan gebeuren. Contact opgenomen met grundfos: ze is in garantie, maar 1) de garantie moet geclaimd worden door een installateur en 2) ze hebben geen voorraad. Ondertussen al 4 maanden aan het proberen om de garantie te laten claimen, zonder succes. De klantendienst die in het begin zeer behulpzaam was antwoordt sinds enkele weken niet meer, ondanks verschillende mailtjes. Kortom: product kan beter, garantie claimen is onbegonnen werk, klantendienst was veelbelovend maar laat veel te wensen over nadien, en de producent heeft al 4 maanden geen voorraad van hun eigen product. Geen reclame.... btw: Als ik een nieuwe koop, heb ik binnen de week een thuis want online is ze op verschillende plekken voorradig....
UPDATE 11/05: telefoon gekregen van Grundfos zelf. Vriendelijke uitleg, en sneller dan verwacht effectief opgelost. Negatieve ervaring bij deze omgebogen naar een semi-goede. Blijft wel raar dat je altijd via groothandel moet gaan ipv als particulier zelf te claimen.

I am on my 3rd Grundfos Scala pump in 2 years. The previous pumps both leaked from within the pump housing. Since the pump is in the attic, the leak caused serious damage within the house. In fairness to Grundfos, they replaced both pumps under warranty without quibble, but the inconvenience and cost of having these leaks in a newly refurbished house is unacceptable. I didn't bother claiming for damages the first time as we detected the leak quickly, and the damage was not serious - but the second leak was slower initially, and has caused serious damage. I am writing this review to warn other customers and plumbers from using this very unreliable product. Plumbers have admitted to me that there are many other customers experiencing faults on these Grundfos pumps. I have now placed a drip-tray underneath the pump and I am installing a water leak detector to give early warning if the new pump fails again. I shouldn't have to do this, but it is the only safeguard I can think of now that I am stuck with a Grundfos pump.

Cirkulationspumpe Alpha3 er noget computerforpestet misfoster, der desværre er gået over bord i selvfedme og grøn gloriepudsning. Stop nu jer selv- det handler jo blot om at cirkulere noget vand i et lukket system og ikke om alt jeres ligegyldige smådetajereguleringer i et endeløst udviklingsforsøg.

I'm on my 3rd Grundfos Scala 2 pump within 18 months. The "sealed" body proves not to be too sealed after a short while causing leaks and damage to the building. The pumps are exchanged under warranty but you'll need to pay for multiple install costs and pay for the damage to your house. This £500 pump has probably cost me in excess of £1500 when all is consider. Strongly consider other brands. Grundfos replied asking me to email them. I'd emailed them before posting the review and contacted the area sales rep who told me to claim my house insurance (which would drive my policy costs up for years for a Grundfos problem). To Grundfos's credit they have since contacted me and provided a fair settlement. Thus, 1 star has been changed to 3 stars but I can not say the pump quality has improved.

The shower pump isn’t as powerful as the one that broke down. I have tried to contact customer services and no one replies. Really poor when the item isn’t cheap Website is unhelpful too when it comes to actually being able to speak to someone

Benytter dykpumpen til at pumpe regnvand fra en brønd til en faskine. Den faste niveuafbryder aktiveres ved at vandet opstemmes når der er kraftigt flow ind i brønden (skybrudssikring). Pumpen virker for det meste, men ikke altid, desværre. En gang imellem starter den, men pumper ikke; den kan stå med vand over niveauafbryderen i 5-10 minutter, hvorefter den måske formår at sænke vandstanden et par gange (ikke helt, men delvist), for så endelig at pumpe så meget vand ud at den afbrydes. Når jeg tester den har den dog altid virket upåklageligt, så hvad der lige forstyrrer den under praktisk brug ved jeg ikke. I applikationen her har pumpen en løftehøjde på ca. 1,1 m ud i et 11m langt Ø40mm PEL rør, monteret med separat rustfri LKC-2 kontraventil umiddelbart efter pumpen.

I changed my Saniflo to a Grundfos a Sololift2, it works ok but is very noisy, Would not recomend.
