Outstanding performance by the team

I can obviously only speak for myself, but in spite of which, I cannot fault the great care and attention to detail, that I found with the incredible team at, halfords, Mostyn Champneys, Llandudno. I purchased in advance of set- up, and collection, a new e bike. The staff were outstanding/ helpful/ and incredibly knowledgeable. 👏 a great big THANKYOU. 👍

Halfords Stanground - I cannot thank you enough

First:
I kept telling an idependent garage that something was wrong with my car as non-starting issues. I felt as a female that I wasn't believed esp as the car started for this small garage. So I took my car to Halfords in Stanground to get the new battery checked. It was fine. But they listened to me - they suggested an electrical fault and sent me to Grimwoods in Peterborough. A faulty wire was fixed for £90
I am grateful to Halfords as I was getting scared to drive my car and even went on my sister's insurance for longer journeys.

Second:
Because I had no faith in the independent garage, I Swapped to Halfords Stanground for my MOT & Service. There happened to be another Hyundai i10 in and a mechanic noticed a new but wrong part on my car (thermo area and nothing to do with the MOT and service). The independent garage had fitted the wrong part. As well as the MOT and service I had the work corrected. The wrong parts, photographs and an email a staff member prepped for my visit to the independent garage were given me. The cost of having part of the work repeated with the right part cost £384 and because of Halfords, I was able to get a refund from the small garage.

The above happened Winter 2025.

I now use Halfords.

MOT Failure ???????

Took my fiesta in for an mot, to one of there autocentres, it failed on brake pipe being rusty, brakes ok before mot,drove home about 1.2 miles noticed brake pedal spongy parked up checked fluid, nearly empty tank, depressed pedal, fluid shooting out from pipe, watch this cowboy company they get commission for bringing work in.

Do NOT join the scam the Motoring Club

Conned into joining the Motoring Club, told it was a one off payment only to find 12 months later £54 has disappeared from my bank account. After reading through their waffle on their website, 30 days notice of renewal by email is stated. I HAD NO EMAIL from them! I went to the cancel membership section to find I have no online account with them.
I set up an online account to try to cancel membership and get a refund to be instructed my card details were out of date.
I changed my card details to the new one, I again tried to cancel and get a refund to be told that my correct new details were out of date repeatedly.
I tried to use the AI assistant which could not deal with my request and I had use the call centre messaging system. And NO surprise there is NEVER anybody available. Fortunately I had initially paid with a credit card so I should get a refund from them.
I often wondered why Halfords never has any customers in store on the odd occasions I call in and I think I now have an answer.

They don't want your business..no really they don't

Simple really. I wanted to phone my local branch in Chiswick to see if I could get a dashcam fitted. Not simple: you are "not allowed to phone a local branch" so you are put through to a call centre in God knows where and they couldn't contact the Chiswick store either. These people do do want your business. I will find someone who wants to do business. What a total shambles this company is, It used not to be. Clearly very poorly managed. No doubt they will go bust.

Supply and fit a new car battery

I was trying to organise a supply and fit of a replacement car battery for our 2017 car. The staff member - sorry I don't recall his name but the reference is: 27726218 from the chat blog. The staff member tried very hard to locate a store that had the battery required. Sadly without success, but he was polite and helpful throughout and deserves credit for his effort.

STAY WELL CLEAR AND DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

OVER A MONTH TO GET THEM TO AGREE TO REFUND ME. THEN LIED SAYING IT HAD BEEN SENT.

IVE BEEN DEALING WITH HALFORDS FOR OVER A MONTH AND TRUST ME I HAVE WITNESSED LIE AFTER LIE.

THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED.
IN MY OPINION THEY ARE FRAUDSTERD. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, YOUR NO LONGER THEYRE PROBLEM.

I HAVE GOTTEN THE BANK INVOLVED TO DISPUTE PAYMENT AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAYS IM NOT THE FIRST AND WOUNT BE THE LAST TO DISPUTE WITH HALFORDS

DO NOT TRUST THEM .... ECONOMICAL WITH FACTS

I responded to their customer service some time ago and awaited a response. No surprise to learn NOTHING except to inform me "your case has been closed because we have NOT heard from you!". Unbelievable and certainly untrue. So here I am again but doubt if any member of their customer so-called care team will respond to me. I wish I had NEVER EVER GONE TO HAVE 2 NEW TYRES FITTED AND THEN TO DISCOVER THESE HAD TO BE PUT ON THE BACK OF MY FRONT WHEEL DRIVE NISSAN? INCREDIBLE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE TO RECALIBRATE THE TPMS ON THE FRONT DRIVE CAR..? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS OUTFIT AS I AM TRYING NOW TO GET REFUND OF THE SO-CALLED WARRANTY ON TYRES WHICH ARE ON THE BACK OF MY FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR.....AND WHY...YES BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DO WHAT DECENT AND QUALIFIED GARAGES COULD DO SO I WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF THE USELESS WARRANTY....NOT A LOT TO ASK BUT AS AN ARMY WIDOW EVERY PENNY COUNTS!!! WILL I HEAR FROM THEM? WELL....WE SHALL SEE BUT WILL NOT HOLD MY BREATH......

It is impossibe to contact Halfords…

It is impossibe to contact Halfords Auto Centre at Barker Street Norwich - their phones have been down for 4 weeks. The staff use their own phones but there is no call back faciltiy.
The only way you can contact them is to drive into the City and physically see them. The staff are great but after 10 years of using them I will not use them again if their phones continue to be down. Their email system is also fautly as had to go down to the branch for a copy of my service bill which was told had been emailed to me.

Paid to have 4 tyres fitted at home

Paid to have 4 tyres fitted at home, 8-8 window given with a 4 hr window given in the morning. Live link not updating. Phoned at 1650, helpline answered and said 1821.
2000hrs still no show, no phone call, no update. But will take your money. Strongly advise do not use this service, or this company. Shambles. Will contact tomorrow and get refund and spread the word thereafter.

Enfield Halfords mislead customers by saying subscriptions gives more discounts and signed up with £5.99 contracts. These are actually contracts not subscription.They would not be able to cancel it until 12 months,
be carefull ,you would end up paying more ,

Customer Service E-bike Purchase

Telephoned Customer Service to enquire about availability of a certain e-bike at local stores as it was sold out online. Belinda proved to be courteous and also tenacious with her enquiries. It took a while but a suitable e-bike was found. Later the same day I was able to purchase the e-bike in store and take it home 'road ready' fully fitted out with add-ons (mudguards, mirror, bell, lights). Thank you Belinda and the Folkestone store.

Motoring club

Got conned into joining the motoring clubs 12 months ago. Today either no notification over the past month that it was due gor auto renewal today. Only found out when I saw it come out of my bank. Can't get in touch through any channel shocking customer service. Halfords should be ashamed of their customer service department. I will never use halfords again or recommend them.

Mobile Battery Replacement

Booked a mobile battery replacement for my vehicle for Saturday, they gave a timing of 8-8, and at 1900hrs I get a text from a mobile number saying the tech wasn't coming. Phoned up Halfords and they stated there was nothing on the system so they couldn't do anything at that stage, and the next available appointment was on Weds which they can't even book because they can't get hold of the tech. Terrible service when I have work on Monday... I've been completely messed around!

Ordered a car battery online and…

Ordered a car battery online and fitting all went well in late2024 until within 6 months the battery £245 started playing up so a replacement was brought out and fitted and all was well until within 6 months (now 2025) that one is totally dead, rang customer service and its going to take 3 days before anyone can come out and replace it. I was told not to charge it, they wont replace it for a different make so now i am on my 3rd Halfords battery which are so unreliable and the 5 year warranty is not worth anything so i had to call out a breakdown service to take me to a garage to buy a new battery so all in all i have lost over £500 by using their own battery, my advice avoid these people and their own make
