I have a Hood chair which developed a creaking noise whilst still under warranty. A replacement seat and gas stem removal tool were sent out very quickly and the chair is again operating perfectly. I am delighted with the service.

I have used a Hood i29 for around five years, and it has been enormously important to me. I have physical and mobility-related needs, and an ordinary office chair quickly becomes painful and makes sustained desk work impossible. The i29’s adjustable pelvic and lumbar support, seat depth, armrests and headrest allow me to work for long periods with much less strain.

When the chair recently developed a sudden mechanical fault, Hood quickly confirmed that it remained covered by the manufacturer warranty and dealt with the issue extraordinarily quickly. Everyone I spoke to was kind, responsive and genuinely concerned with getting an essential piece of equipment working again. An engineer attended incredibly quickly, was knowledgeable and lovely to deal with, and the problem was fully resolved.

The chair itself has always been exceptionally comfortable and supportive, but the quality of Hood’s aftercare has impressed me just as much. A long warranty only means something when a company actually stands behind it, and Hood unquestionably did. I am enormously grateful and would recommend both the i29 and the company without hesitation.

I have a Hood i29 office chair, which is without doubt the nicest office chair I have ever used. Recently I was making a change to the chair and got myself into a bit of a predicament. After a few hours trying to sort the problem myself I decided to reach out to Hood for advice via the contact us form on the website. All I can say is the service I received was way above and beyond what I expected or anybody could reasonably expect from any company. Bearing in mind the issue I had was in no way due to any fault on Hoods part they had me using my chair again within a couple of days at their own expense. I honestly think this is the most impressive service I have had from any company.

What can I say? I've had my i29 chair for nearly 10 years and only recently ran into my first issues with the gas stem and base. I reached out to customer support, and they have been absolutely excellent. They kindly provided all the replacement parts I needed completely free of charge.

I have the mesh seat and back, and it is super comfortable. I easily spend 12+ hours a day in this chair between working from home and gaming in the evenings. I’m not a small or light guy either (6ft / 115kg), and this chair has lasted a decade without a single complaint.

I highly recommend both the company and the i29 chair!

Great customer service.

When I contacted them regarding an issue with my chair, they were unable to find my customer details or order number. Despite this, they decided to send me the replacement parts free of charge. The items were delivered to Ireland just two days after they were shipped.

I wish all companies provided the same level of customer service and support.

Had an issue with the height mechanism but Hood sorted it out extremely quickly! The Haribos we received with the replacement parts made the job of swapping the part over much easier :)

These chairs are genuinely the best around. The customer service team are unbelievably incredible, Lisa and Leon went above and beyond to make sure I got my chair back to peak condition. Wow! What a brilliant company this is. I've got an i29 chair, which is by far the most comfortable office chair I've had and still as good many years later. Sadly, I managed to damage the backrest height buttons on mine in a house move. Despite knowing any guarantee would have not covered this I reached out to Hood's customer services in the hope that they might be able to offer a solution and hopefully a cost that would have been easy to stomach. Not only did Daniel supply the parts needed, he also included the instructions to repair the chair and popped in a bag of Haribo too, all for free with postage too.

I bought the I29 chair. Very impressed. It’s extremely comfortable and massively customizable, with ergonomics easily comparable to top-line global brands. The build quality is also excellent: the heavy metal frame supporting the mechanisms makes it feel very sturdy, which is a big upgrade from my previous chair that had plastic all around. I also like that it doesn’t have annoying nooks and crannies where dust can gather, so it’s very easy to clean. The only things to keep in mind are that it’s quite heavy, and the adjustment mechanisms are quite sensitive, so you'd need to be careful not to change them accidentally once set. Overall, an amazing full-scale, fully functional office chair with a clear emphasis on ergonomics and customization.

After another great customer experience with Hood I thought it appropriate to put another review in.

I had a small issue with a component on the seat base of my i29 which to Hood's credit they replaced the entire seat base on the same day, there's very few businesses that would offer this kind of service. Thanks to everyone involved!

As someone who works from home, I saw getting an ergonomic chair as a sensible investment and I have nothing but positive things to say about both my i29 and Hood as a whole. They also offer a new line of gaming products that I'll be looking into this year.

Fantastic customer service. I have a five-year-old chair with a spring that broke and they sent me a replacement immediately. That's great customer service and I would happily recommend them. The chair itself is wonderful too

I have been using my i29 for a few years - it is the best office chair I have ever had.
Unfortunately the black mesh fabric on the seat tore and so I got in touch Hood who not only sent me the replacement seat free of charge but also showed an amazing degree of responsiveness and customer service even over festive period that one (unfortunately) does not experience that often these days. I've been using the hood I 29 chair for five years now I have a degenerative spinal condition and it's helped me through some tough times I thought I could change the chair at one point but realized it was really the only chair I could use. As the seat is perfectly made for my needs plus it is made so robustly nothing has gone wrong with it just the seat foam going. As the seat pan became not as supportive after it time I rang hood and it was replaced and honoured within the warranty.

The base of the cushion/seat cracked. I got in touch with Hood and after sending a picture of the damage Daniel offered to send a replacement seat out to me. What can i say absolutely fantastic service! I cant reccoment Hood enough!

The Hood I29 is a fantastic chair, super comfy for a day in front of the screen. Had a couple of issues, but the aftercare service I received was second to none, I was kept updated, no quibbles and was even sent some Haribo out. I will always get my chairs from these guys going forward.
