Beware these people

Beware these people.
They don’t have the items they sell in stock but don’t make that clear. If you try and cancel an order they try to take a fee.

Hi - It clearly states on the product page and our T&Cs that PRE ORDER items are subject to cancellation Fees - We are a small company and are charged fees on all transactions. If you are unwilling to wait for an item you are not obligated to place the order. We also have limited Qty's so this order has taken an order away from another customer.

I ordered a CD player and carry case

I ordered a CD player and carry case. The case did not arrive with the CD player, although payment was taken. When I enquired, I was told that the case would be supplied in a week. I have not received it or heard anything. This is not good enough.

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable service in all departments…

It’s one of the few audio online retailers that use Clearpay which is very handy to use to break up the cost over 4 payments. I ordered an open box Fiio SR11 streamer which for the price is my go to streamer for Airplay. Dynamics are better than the WiiM Mini, it’s more detailed and has better instrument separation especially noticeable in the bass where the WiiM Mini loses a little definition. Being new to the SR11 I had a few moments of minor headscratching mainly due to the amplifier the SR11 was connected to. I contacted Otic customer service via email and was almost immediately acknowledged and offered some guidance that incidentally is not noted in the set up manual. The advice, from Craig, helped troubleshoot the issue and the problem was resolved. So in short, excellent customer service, prompt delivery of the product, flexible payment schemes and a good choice of audio components. Very happy with the SR11 and Otic and have returned for a further purchase.

Pure 90s nostalgia!

My FiiO Cassette player has now arrived and now its time to get out all of my dusty tapes from the loft and go back to the 90s. The ordering was very easy and shipping incredibly fast!

If I could I would give no stars but the title should explain.

‘Let the Buyer Beware’.

Just received an email from Trust pilot that the seller wants more information otherwise can dispute validity of my review.
I am not going to enter into a protracted argument online after that which I’ve had with OTIC. This is my review as I wish to record it. When an order is completed successfully with OTIC, they all give 5 stars but when things go awry, the customer service and experience is not good. ‘You pays your money and you take your chances’.

If my review is pulled, how can you trust Trustpilot.

Shanling ET3

The Shanling ET3 was cheaper than anywhere else, including direct import from China, arriving well packaged ahead of schedule.
Ordering was straight forward and communication was prompt and clear, answering all questions in detail.
I will definitely use OTIC again for my future requirements.

Awful customer support avoid.
Asked them to cancel my order before it had shipped because it had been two weeks with no information on when I’d receive my item.
After my email they responded within 10 minutes saying oh it arrived today to us (convenient) we have it now so will ship it today.
By the time I read the email half hour later they had created a shipment label and moved ahead with the delivery even though I asked them to cancel and stated I no longer needed/want it as I’ve purchased and received one from another company because they were taking so long.

Box arrived damaged like it had been hit pretty hard especially in one corner so I opened it up to make sure nothing was broken before sending it back to them so I wouldn’t get blamed for the damage.
Item was fine and had plenty of foam inside.
I emailed them asking to return the item within an hour of receiving it at my door which is proven by time stamps on the emails.
Was told to ship it back tracked, signed for and insured for the entire amount…. Not cheap but I did it anyway.

They received it and refunded me but took like a 20% “restocking fee” didn’t refund shipping or return shipping which wasn’t cheap.

So I emailed them asking why I havnt been refunded then entire amount and why am I being charged a restocking fee.
They said they dont refund shipping and the restocking free was because the box was damaged and opened.

I explained what had happened but they wouldn’t listen and just said it had been opened so tough luck even though it would have had to have a new box or wrapping anyway with how damaged it was on arrival.
They then accused me of using the iem with a sarcastic remark saying “oh I guess the dpd driver opened it up and put the ear tips on” basically saying I put the ear tips on to use them.
This isn’t true as the iems come with some pre installed out the box as I proved/showed them via a YouTube video of a brand new unboxing video.
I never used it as I told them I didn’t want or need them anymore as I purchased a different pair from another company after they took so long to ship.
After that they basically just brushed past the dpd driver comment and said well you opened it so our policy is final.

I said look I’m fine paying for shipping and even the expensive return shipping but atleast give me the full amount for the item.
Explaining everything once again that I tried to cancel beforehand, damage wasn’t my fault but the delivery service they used ect ect They got back to me with no our policy is final.

Never buying from them again, customer support was rude, not understanding and their policy sucks only looking out for themselves and not the customer.

I’ve explained everything above as to the damage and opened box and you just don’t care with no regard for your customer.
All you care about is your money and that’s it.
Not to mention you’re just flat out lying with your reply, you didn’t send me any email regarding my order after the order confirmation email which had no info on delivery.
I received 4 automated emails form it in that time and all they were was advertisements for you sales, best sellers and that I had earned some points but that’s it.
Yes you shipped it/created a label what 10 minutes after I emailed you asking to cancel the order.
You didn’t say we have it on the warehouse now and can ship it for if you want… no you ignored my request and shipped it anyway because you didn’t want to lose a sale and then everything that I’ve type above happened.
It’s out of order and you need to do better.
If I get my refund I’m happy to change my review to be more positive but my review is honest with how my experience with you has been.

Hi Ryan, We sent 2 emails to you in the 2 weeks you ordered the products on PRE ORDER. We shipped to you as soon as it arrived with Next Day delivery. You then asked to return the item to us which we were happy to accommodate. The Package was returned to us opened and damaged which then means we can no longer sell the item as new. hence the restocking fee of 15% not 20%. This is available to read on our returns page and terms & conditions.

Communication with OTIC was excellent, I was kept informed of what was available and when. Once ordered (with my first time buyer discount) the Ultra arrived just 2 days later - in perfect time for my birthday. Will certainly use OTIC again. Thanks.
