I have bought from the Exeter branch a couple of times and always found them polite, helpful and not too pushy. I bought an acoustic from them and the sales person took the time to set up the different models that I wanted to try so that I could decide properly. Would use them again

Purchased Kurt Cobain Fender Jaguar from project music and will definitely highly recommend and use again...comms were superb even replying to questions via googlemail on a Sunday! Guitar turned up in perfect working order and when they said it would...thanks guy's 👍

This is my first experience of buying a guitar from Project Music; a Maybach Little Wing P90.

From the first email exchange, staff were polite, very responsive and extremely helpful. The store has a sale commencing later this month but they kindly offered a deal to avoid me having to wait until then.

The guitar arrived safely and it is an excellent instrument.

Room for improvement? Yes. The guitar went through a set up process before it was sent but one of the strings was much higher than the rest. It was so obvious I am surprised it wasn't picked up.

So 4.5/5.0 is my rating and I recommend this site to prospective shoppers.

Ordered an Eastman for a travel, emails responded to straight away, Herbie was a straight up guy. Set up was outstanding, best I've ever played straight out the box. Guitar mint bar a few small top scratches that were underneath the Nitro finish so that was clearly factory issue but something that doesn't bother me, for the money Eastmans are on par with my Martin and better in places. Was also £50 cheaper than anywhere else. Defo use again.

Purchased a "Nice condition", "Structurally sound" used Mandolin from them remotely as my first instrument. Walked down the garden path, agreed the price and then paid.

Then told during the setup that it was noticed that the frets weren't good enough and they didn't want to put it right. So they backed out of the sale. Full refund promised but nothing as yet and no alternative offered.

This happens from time to time, apparently.

Unprofessional and untrustworthy.

The bass I bought had quite a few cosmetic issues so I sent it back. They were very helpful in trying to resolve the situation and ultimately we agreed on a refund. No hassle, good service.

I bought the Fender Jag-Stang from Project Music and having just received it I cant recommend these guys highly enough. I ordered online and had both email and telephone conversations with 2 Lee's who work there about set up, playability etc.

The guitar turned up polished and set up to play straight out of the box which has not always been the case from other sellers / shops in the past.

These guys are a great example of why you should support independent stores. Thanks a lot to all the team at PM.

I attempted to purchase a telecaster from project music with a ptx a price for the ptx had been agreed, they then changed the price they first gave me and lowered it, I agreed to the lower price, but when I asked a simple question regarding the shape of the neck of the new guitar they could not be bothered to phone me back with an answer, I could not go in the shop as I live a long way from Exeter and I do not drive so I cannot go in the shop as they suggested I do. Don’t use the shop as they are not at all helpful any small problem

I ordered a Jackson Pc1 last year just as covid was kicking off. Stocks of these always run out wherever you look so I paid the deposit and a new build was ordered. I knew it would be a long wait but Project Music kept me informed throughout and were always there to answer any enquiries. As soon as it arrived it was set up and quickly despatched on a day to suit me and Project Music couldn't have been more helpful. Added to all of this, they honoured the original price. Really pleased with the service and the guitar itself is a stunner.

Recent purchase of Fender Custom shop Stratocaster helpful on telephone bought online set up was fine only gripes I have was receiving the guitar without fresh strings which I asked for and some very minor surface scratches on the front of the guitar from being played in the shop which I was told was new a great guitar and that’s why I kept hold of it.

I have purchased many guitars over the years and have become used to "so so" service. I made an appointment to visit Project Music to try a Gretsch Red Sparkle Players Edition Jet. The guys were patient with my concerns, allowed me to take all the time I needed and went out of their way to be helpful. I bought the guitar and am delighted with it. I would definitely go to Project Music again.

Excellent service from knowledgeable staff. Prompt and speedy delivery. They are really helpful and gave great advice after I had chosen the wrong guitar. I have not received a better online buying experience.

Within a couple of weeks I bought two acoustic guitars. One very expensive one followed by a relatively cheap one. Both times I received a phone call with a promised date. Both guitars were set up carefully, no matter their prices.

I don't mind that it takes a couple of days extra as long as it's backed by a phone call, as compared to the "next day" delivery crowd who sometimes never even open the box before they send it or the opposite where you pay your money and never know when you will have it.

Bought a Fender Tele from the guys at projectmusic during lockdown when it wasn't possible to visit the store. They were great to deal with and very open about giving me feedback on the guitars they had in stock since I couldn't see them in person. The guitar set up and shipping was perfect and they were very competitive on price as well. I won't hesitate to buy from them again.

I bought a Cordoba c10 from project music all friendly on the phone got the guitar on time unfortunately it didn't fit me so phoned up to get it sent back with DPD who delivered it price I got was £19 plus £47 insurance =£66 postage that's something they should tell you before you purchase the price of the return be aware people there not as honest as might come across.

I ordered an Eric Clapton Custom Shop Stratocaster from Project Music and the service I received was second to none. Even in this pandemic it arrived on time and was delivered the next day.
It was also at a very good price. An excellent company to deal with

This company openly admitted to me that they re-sell goods which have been returned to the store. Once an item leaves the shop, it becomes secondhand. There is nothing to stop the new owner from dismantling something and then returning it. Then some unfortunate soul will buy it and pay full price for used goods. Totally unacceptable.

Once again the team at Project music prove themselves to be fantastic. I bought a Fender Vintera Road Worn Strat today which they put back for me following a phone call. An hours drive down there to pick it up. Great service. I refuse to shop with National music shops and go for delivery when the one to one service is this good, even if it is a bit of a drive. Brilliant in every way.

Contacted Project Music about an Eastman semi hollow guitar, only to find out if had been sold that day. However, Lee was extremely helpful in ordering one from Eastman and keeping me informed all through the process. Unfortunately the guitar had a twisted neck, but this was noticed and a replacement ordered, again keeping me fully informed. The reason I have given only 4 stars is that I specifically asked for 9-42 gauge strings and was told that this would not be a problem. When the guitar arrived it was wonderfully set up, but with 10-46 gauge strings.
