Delays and silence

I really wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt despite bad reviews as the quality of the product (if it arrives looks nice, and the buying experience really suggests good quality). We placed an order for one set of curtains around £634 (order s-033348) on 9th May, so decided to give them the full 10 weeks (offer 4-10 weeks) before chasing. We initially got a message to apologise for the delay after chasing an update. They informed us it needed to go through a QA process. That was over a week ago now and when we chased for an update we have had radio silence.

Despite the nice website, we could of ordered the same curtains elsewhere for similar price and would of had the adequate supply chain to get the curtains made in good time. Reading the other reviews, im not sure if we will get these curtains or our money back!

If anyone actually makes contact with us and tries to provide a resolution id be happy to amend my rating to reflect some form of customer service.

UPDATE

I have had an email from trust pilot with the company requesting it be removed as not a verified order. The order number is in the body of the review and the company has responded!

For other consumers - despite their reply to this review saying their team had reached out, this was after us chasing multiple times. Please do not mistake this for pro-active customer service as you will be very disappointed.

After 4 months with no sign of the order (just more excuses -apparently it was ready to ship in 2 days, then suddenly whole order failed due to not enough material!). They have said they will refund the order and no attempt to actually make the curtains we have waited for 4 months already. They think this is a fair outcome. I have never seen a curtain company so inept at producing curtains!

We have opened a case with trading standards, and we have submitted a SAR request as I don't believe any of the reason they have given so far for the delays. They have ignored this request so far. I assume we will not get a response in 30 days and will report to the ICO.

The whole situation is a real mess. I understand companies get things wrong, but at no stage have they ever been on the front foot to explain what is happening. Id rather they refunded me on month 2 when they knew it couldn't be produced these curtains. Now we have to order through a new company whilst we still haven't got the refund and wait another 4-6 weeks most likely.

Refund still owed after months

I ordered curtains in March which cost £671, to be delivered in May. Order number S-032959. In June after hearing nothing I chased multiple times, only to be asked for a bit more patience whilst they looked into it. In July I finally asked for a refund as it was clear the curtains had not been made. They agreed to refund me but I have still not received the money owed. I have chased for a month. They keep promising to look into it, but it’s not that difficult to refund an order as has been agreed. This company owe me £671 and have not retuned it.

Awful company

Awful company. The selling part is super smooth and they are very communicative, respond quickly back. Placed order - Order date: March 03, 2023

Still have not received the products. Was promised a 10% refund in May for delays. Not received. Was promised curtains will be delivered end of July - sent 3 emails and WhatsApp text - no reply. Steer clear.

Unacceptable.

Updating my previous review... Placed order S-032184 on December 28 after weeks of being targeted with advertising and even sending someone to my house to measure the windows. Various delays ensued. Order was 'due' to be shipped out the first week of June, which never happened. I asked them to cancel and refund me on June 23, which they acknowledged on June 28, but now it's July 25 and I still have not received a refund. I am out 650 GBP which is simply not acceptable.

Excellent quality blinds which fit so well in my new kitchen, there was a slight delay with the order so can’t give 5 stars but have to say it was worth the wait.

Disappointment and Frustration

We placed our original order with the company in two parts - the bigger order at the end of 01/2023 and a second smaller order at the end of 02/2023, each with an estimated delivery date of between 4-10 weeks. No updates regarding our order were given despite significant delays and we were unable to make contact with Stitched over email or telephone. We were very concerned and desperate for some sort of information, so much so that we resorted to scheduling fictitious design consultations just to speak to someone at the company.

Eventually we managed to make contact with a customer service representative in 06/2023. We were informed that our order was not currently in process but that it was being prioritised given the delays. We were assured that delivery would be made in the week commencing 26/06/2023. We agreed with the rep that if this did not happen, we would be cancelling our order and would expect a full refund at that point.

No delivery was forthcoming by the agreed deadline and we took steps to request a full refund. This was ignored by Stitched. After ignoring us for a period of time, a representative dishonestly informed us that part of our order had been delivered. It had not been and no delivery date had been communicated. We consequently demanded our refund in full and were ignored. Stitched then tried to deliver part of our order after the fact despite the earlier agreement and our refund request - we refused the part delivery as a result.

We are now involved in a dispute with the company over email. Nobody has called us to discuss the matter (only repeating the same unacceptable compromises over email that only serve their interests) and there is no trust left in the process. A full refund should be returned but Stitched seems to be holding onto our money for no reason which is cause for concern.

A customer representative will likely respond to this message to say that they will be in touch but this will be a lie. They have been given every opportunity to do so and at this point only a full refund will suffice.

Despite any positive reviews that people can see on this platform (that suspiciously all seem to use the same language (see "transformed")), all I can say is - AVOID.

I am really pleased with my curtains

I am really pleased with my curtains. They are made superbly with quality fabric and lining.
I really wanted to support an independent company.
I too experienced long delays (5 months) and hit and miss customer service. Such a shame!
If only Stitched were honest about lead times and had a fully resourced CS team I really believe they could turn this around.
But in the end I’m pleased as I do feel that I’ve got real value for money and a beautiful pair of new curtains.

All round good service!

I ordered two pairs of curtains from Stitched, although they were delayed I received them this week and they have transformed our living room. I was a bit concerned with delays (over logistics issues) and the negative reviews, but the quality is unmatched, I have used John Lewis before and had long delays and then issues with the blinds so I'm pleased we chose Stitched even though they took a little longer.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Ordered for delivery before Christmas last year and absolutely everything was incredibly late and very wrong. Still not resolved. They promised a refund and that hasn’t materialised. Impossible to get a response from Elinor or anyone else there, and her head of ‘customer satisfaction’ just left the company on Thursday. Clearly they’ve gone bust - yet they are still advertising on social and appear to be taking people’s money! Criminals. Court action now inevitable.

S-032792 - 18 weeks, no delivery, no updates

Elinor and Stitched team, we placed an order with Stitched on Feb 22nd, it's now been 18 weeks and not only have we not received our order, there has been ZERO response to our many emails following up with your team, requesting an update on when we can expect to receive our blinds.

Are you able to look into this and tell me where my order is, and when I can expect to receive it?

It's quite alarming frankly how bad the customer experience has been, and I'm now embarrassed to have recommended the company to other friends.

Appreciate your help ASAP. 18 weeks of radio silence is really appalling and unacceptable.

Order number is S-032792. Expected delivery date was March 22nd 🤯

They took £1000+ 22 weeks ago, no curtains, no refund

So we ordered on February 4th. It's now 28th June. They took over £1000, provided no curtains, and just lied and lied and lied repeatedly when asked about when they would appear. We finally said that unless they provided the curtains or a refund by the 26th June (20 weeks) we would have to take it up with our credit card company. Nothing. No response. All their social media are locked down, even though they are still advertising. It seems they have just taken the money and run. The order was S-032608 - at one point this was the only way to get them to respond, but it looks like they’ve given up on here too now.

UPDATE12th July: Despite promised, no refund has been produced. I think we all know where this is going.

Sadly, I echo all the previous comments about terrible customer after sales support. I have been waiting for my blinds for months. Placed order on 1st April. No updates since payment. I have relentlessly tried to contact Stitched across various platforms; phone, Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp and, like all the other comments on Trustpilot, just get an autogenerated message saying they will ask the workroom for an update. The update never comes.
I just wish I had read these reviews before placing an order. Had I done so, I would NEVER have used them.
If the Stitched team read these reviews - I want a refund.

Ordered curtains with a 4-10 delivery, when it got close to 10 weeks and I hadn’t heard anything I asked for an ETA. Turns out they were not going to be ready for at least another 7 which they hadn’t bothered to tell me so I asked for a refund. They agreed, so far so good. Except they just didn’t issue the refund. And continued to fail to issue it despite repeated requests over several weeks. At one point they also asked for my bank details when I had paid by credit card- dodgy as. I asked them to refund to the credit card I paid on which they said they would but …they didn’t. I’ve ended up having to go via the credit card people as Stitched seem intent on just keeping my money for nothing. Don’t give them yours. You won’t get your curtains and you won’t get your money back without the stress and hassle of a section 75

where is my refund?

Since my last review on the 31st of May, my promised refund has still not been made. (This was from an order placed early November, that was not delivered until May). This was promised to arrive mid April, it is now been almost 11 weeks.

No one replies on the email addresses and the phone is never picked up. Please can someone tell me when my refund will be paid???

overdue order - no response. s-033085

order placed end of march - no updates throughout the process. Emails i've sent have been ignored one except to say they'd ask the workroom for an update. That was 2 weeks ago and I've heard nothing since. I have tried calling, Instragram etc. but no response.

update: 5th July
ended up opening a dispute with credit card company after still no response.

Then heard that curtain would be delivered this week via instragram.

Then FINALLY recieved an email asking me to confirm if i'd opened a dispute. I emailed back straight away and asked them to confirm if delivery was still due this week.. No response.

Chased again today and heard they had some "confusion" after me opening a dispute and had cancelled my order.

14 weeks later and clearly they hadn't even started to make our curtains.

Steer clear. Not a genuine functioning company. Shouldn't be allowed to trade.

I would rate this company 0 stars if i could. I like many others on here have placed an order in March and after waiting 12 weeks i asked for an update 2 weeks ago. They advised they would check with the warehouse. I chased again 2 days later and got the same message. After another week i chased again and they havent even bothered reading that message! I have emailed..no response. Avoid this company, do not buy from them!!!! I will try to get a refund and take my custom elsewhere. If by any chance they can be arsed to read the terrible reviews they are receiving my order number is S-033098. I will look to pursue this in other ways in the meantime.

Expensive curtains not received & refund not received

I made an order (S-032653) in Feb 2023 and as at the end of June I still have not received it.

I emailed the company to complain and a £50 partial refund was agreed upon (while I continue to wait for the curtains). The refund was agreed in mid May. Over a month later I still have not received it.

I have emailed to ask about my refund. Although I did receive one reply saying that they will get back to me (over a week ago) I have received no further response.

My attempts at contacting again have been ignored.

These curtain are not at all cheap as such i would expect high quality product and customer service. So far I have seen evidence of neither.

I would not recommend buying from this brand.

No curtain, no compensation, no resolution

We have ordered (S-032825) a curtain on February 25th, the curtain was delivered on April 5th, though should have been March 27th. The curtain wasn't completed according to the measurements, it was too short so a ton of light was passing through. We have requested for this to be fixed, after many many emails we finally managed to get this sorted and the curtain was sent back to us on June 15, so basically almost 3 months later than original delivery date. We tried to put it back and this time the rail was too wide so it doesn't fit between our walls. I have reached out to Stitched right away and haven't heard back from them for almost a week, after back and forth for 2 weeks, their response was that we are wrong and that the curtain should fit!!! No apology, no compensation and no curtain. Unbelievable! The issue is still not resolved and I am desperately trying to get a response from Stitched.

UPDATE on July 4 requested a refund as the issue is not resolved, it's has been a week of silence on behalf of Stitched...

Refund still not processed

Regarding order no. S-032886. We have been advised that stitched will provide a refund but they appear to be dragging their feet as much as possible. Stitched team-please process this refund immediately.
