Huge delays in delivery and poor communication

As much as I like the product, the customer service will eventually ruin this company. First the dispatch of my blinds order had been delayed by 3 months, and it took a lot of chasing to get any sort of info from them about the approx delivery date, and every time there was a new excuse for the delay in responding and delay in the delivery. Now i’m chasing the promised reimbursement of the installation costs, and, unsurprisingly, no one is even getting back to me. What was supposed to be the nice experience of preparing the nursery for my newborn turned into quite a stressful and very expensive ordeal. I would not recommend them

bad customer service and no sign of curtains

I ordered my curtains on the 15th November 2022 and it is now the 31st Jan 2023 and I have absolutely no idea when I am going to receive them. The customer service is diabolical. After emailing for an update 3 times I was finally told that there was an issue with my fabric and they had to re-order it, and I have followed up with another 3 emails asking for an update and haven't had a single reply. The phone line is constantly diverted straight to answerphone so there is no chance of speaking to someone in person which is so unhelpful. I am hoping that I get a reply soon and that I receive my curtains in the not too distant future.

Unfortunately, we experienced some delays due to fabric faults at our mill, which had a knock-on effect to a number of our fabrics resulting in order delays.

Stitched are a small but mighty team!

I chose Stitched, as I liked their website and the team was really friendly and knowledgeable. After placing my order, I was updated that there would be some delays, due to some fabric issues. To be honest, I was a little disappointed by this, however, the team offered a free fabric change, to an alternative fabric that wasn't out of stock, and I'm really pleased with the results! The curtains are beautifully made, and I even prefer the fabric that they chose, so it worked well for me in the end. Would recommend using Stitched - they are a small but mighty team.

Poor service, chaotic company

I think this company is a bit of a sham. They have great customer service until you buy something and then it’s like talking to a brick wall. Ordered curtains and pole which had 4-6 weeks wait and it’s 18 weeks on, my curtains arrived 10 days ago but wrong pole and wrong fixtures. Still waiting and not high hopes based on the half answers they are sending me. Constant delays, poor customer service and they don’t really seem to know what’s going on. I’d recommend going with Hillary’s - we will not be using Stitched again and I urge you not to be swayed by their shiny website and social media.

We ordered 3 sets of curtains in April

We ordered 3 sets of curtains in April. We received the wrong rails which had to be returned and correct ones sent out (they were chrome with "made in china" written on the packaging, not bespoke gunmetal "made in the UK" as advertised). These were returned and new ones sent out, more than a month later. When the curtains eventually arrived, they were wrong too. The eyelets were the wrong colour (despite emailing to check they would be correct after the rail problem). The curtains had to be returned and altered. All this required days we had to take off work to be in for the delivery, or for the collection. It took 5 months to receive the correct order. We had to manually alter the hanging system - the brackets did not fit correctly with the pole. The fabric of the curtains are beautiful and they are good quality. However, the seams are in an unusual place (on the front of the wave, rather than the back). There was also a dark stain on the yellow curtain which I had to spend some time cleaning. The experience has resulted on a lot of back-and-forth and emailing. I asked for money off the order but they always say they will get back to me next week – still nothing. I would not recommend this company for the price of the product. If you are going to pay for bespoke curtains, I would expect a better service and result.

Everyone should use STITCHED

What an absolutely fantastic service STITCHED is! From start to finish chatting live with Cordelia (who assured me that she wasn't a bot ☺) and then having a video call with Tania who saved my bacon as I was defo measuring up wrong haha! Great service and I have recommended you to everyone - PLUS you were loads cheaper than other big retailers for exactly the same product!
In all, I'm totally THRILLED with the end results! Everyone should use u guys!

I am so happy with the curtains and…

I am so happy with the curtains and blinds I ordered for my living room. The process was really easy and the team were super helpful with any questions I had on materials, colours, dimensions and delivery. Items arrived promptly after helpful updates from Stitched. I wouldn't go anywhere else and can't wait to get started on the next room now!

Great experience and curtains!

Couldn't disagree more with the last few reviews, so thought I'd leave one myself! I thought that the customer team at Stitched went above and beyond - they were very helpful for a curtain novice like myself. There was a delay with the fabric that I had chosen, which is to be expected in the current climate with all the difficulties going on and they kept my updated along the way.

I now have a lovely set of blackout curtains in my bedroom that I am very pleased with and I'd certainly buy again from Stitched!

If I could select 0 stars I would. Placed an order and have not heard back for 5 weeks, then I was chasing them for another two weeks and got random 'It will be with you next week' messages. Order still has not arrived and no updates so far.
Customer service is a joke. Such a terrible company that heavily advertises itself on all social media platform and delivers NOTHING!

UPDATE 15 Aug 2022 - I finally received my order and they sent me a wrong item. It was shorter than the original spec and also the chain was not brass but chrome colour. And I’m not surprised actually…. Chasing a refund now.

Terrible!

Terrible!

Although the fabrics are lovely, the curtains were made in the wrong size, the pleats were uneven and although the stitching was fine the pinch pleat header was a mess with random amounts of fabric used and different intervals between each pleat.

I actually got a professional in to measure so my measurements were perfect, but when the curtains arrived they didn't meet in the middle. It wouldn't have been such a problem if it wasn't a pinch (French) pleat which means the width is fixed. It's worth noting that due to a "fabric delay" I had waited months for these to arrive.

Any basic maker should know that for fixed pleats they need to leave some extra width for ease and for overlap in the centre. This wasn't done. Stitch suggested a full remake using the same fabric, but agreed to replace the lining due to pin holes which would let in light (I chose blackout lining). Some weeks later they arrived back with the same lining fabric including pin holes and were miles too wide now. The previous seams were left and although the pleating was better there was fabric stacked back, even when closed. At this point I requested a refund.

The curtains were collected for the second time and I was promised a refund which I yet to receive. This was two weeks ago. Beware of Stitched as their makers cannot calculate fabric widths which is crucial for curtain making! Once you've paid they lose interest. The phone lines often go straight to voicemail. I still have no curtains nor my money.

For a slightly higher price you can get made to measure curtains which are hand finished and often include measuring and/ or installation. do yourself a favour and save yourself the pain.

Elinor, if the curtains were correctly calculated why did not meet in the middle when closed? If the remake was calculated correctly, why was there loads of fabric stacked back when closed. If the lining was replaced, why did it include pin holes and seams from the previous curtain? Would you like photos?

Accusing me- the customer of lying is a final insult. I suggest you check your facts and sort out the workrooms as with the 100 years plus of curtain making they still can’t make a curtain that fits. Unacceptable.

One of the things that we're really proud of at Stitched is our fabric range - however, due to the nature of the raw materials and the weaving process, there were some delays with your chosen fabric and we did try and keep you as up to date as we could with dates.

We spent a great deal of time on the phone and over email with you, discussing the issues, and in good faith we collected your curtains for an alteration to make them to your specifications.

We were very disappointed to hear that you were still unhappy with the finish and agreed to collect the curtains from you for a refund. Having checked with our workrooms, we can confirm that they were calculated correctly and that the lining was replaced - the team has over 100 years of curtain making experience between them and took great care to return them to you in good time, so that you were not without a window covering for a long time.

Your refund was refunded in the timescale outlined by our accounts team, who emailed you directly.

We have received your feedback and have fed it back to the wider team.

Great curtains, incorrectly made and poor followup

We ordered 3 eyelet curtains. Initially, we were very happy as they were going to accommodate a different eyelet size.

After a few long months, we received them. Sadly, although the curtains appear of great quality, they weren't made to the agreed measurements and spec.

The process of getting them fixed took just about 2 entire months, with a lot of back and forth. We just weren't a priority.

In the end the problem was solved but the very frustrating experience means we won't be getting anything else from stitched nor recommend it to anyone.

Excellent!!!

I was so delighted with the curtains. The fabric was lovely just like the swatch and I have never seen such a well made set of curtains. The workmanship was top notch. There was a delay in getting my chosen fabric from the mill but I was kept up to date throughout and when the fabric arrived the order was turned round really quickly.

What great quality curtains

What great quality curtains! I ordered two pairs of fully lined cotton weave curtains, for a bedroom and my living room. They came perfectly packaged and ready to hang. They look amazing, and the lining keeps the rooms really warm.

Love stitched blinds, great quality

Love stitched blinds! Top quality fabric and super easy to measure. It came with a great guide of how to get the right size and also lovely samples. Have some in our bedroom and going to get for hallway too. Plus the customer service is fantastic. Highly recommend

I will certainly use Stitched again…

It was an easy process for measuring the curtains with each step showing what was needed to get the right width and length. The curtains arrived beautifully packed and were ready to put up straight away. The white silk I chose was good quality and lovely.

Great experience

I was nervous about ordering curtains online but there was no need to be. I found the online measuring tool easy to use and conversation by email to express my wish to have my cotton velvet curtains constructed ‘pile down’. This was dealt with and I was then informed every step of the way. My beautiful, voluminous cotton velvet curtains arrived at the predicted time. I was even more delighted to discover that the cords had been pulled to exactly the correct measurement and what is more, they came complete with hooks, ready to hang. I could not be happier. I would definitely reuse and also recommend this company. A really stress less process and great product.

Just what I was looking for

The choice of fabric and style of blind was just what I was looking for. I wanted a simple roman blind in a plain bold colour for a study that did not cost a fortune. The website was informative and easy to use with tips on measuring the window for a perfect fit very helpful. The blinds arrived on time and are perfect. Could not be happier
