Service??? I don’t think so. My fridge has gone bonkers & needs a new electronics board. After a month an engineer popped in. And told me what I’d already guessed: the fridge needs a new board. Someone will be in touch (chilling words) to let you know when the part arrives. From the good old US of A. Well. Today it’s 5 July. My fridge is still very unstable re temperature control. I ring Sub zero. After 10 minute wait on phone the service person tells me the part has not yet arrived. They’ve had a lot of holidays in the States you know. ???!!!!!! But I’ll book you in for a visit. Let’s say August 16th. What do you think? Well any later and my Christmas goose will have to live outside on a hopefully cold window sill. Service? I don’t think so.
They want £300 to service an appliance then £250 each hour after if needed.
I would not buy any of these appliances again. Really poor customer service.
They tried to sell me an annual warranty cover for over £2200 a year that covers everything. Total rip off.
My Wolf downdraft extractor fan broke down. They want £250 call out to investigate the problem and a further £250 including half an hour labour, parts say another £300 to fix it!!!
So you think paying above the odds will guarantee you buy-it-for-life quality. That definitely isn’t the case with Subzero. After a few months the fridge-freezer intermittently stopped cooling, resulting in a total failure after about 10 months. Original wait for a service was three weeks, but our installer managed to kick up a fuss and the entire circuit board was replaced after a few days. Two weeks later and the door stops sealing. Not a huge deal, but the fridge beeps every ten seconds and there’s no way to override it or switch it off. The beeping echoes throughout the house and keeps us all up at night while fraying our nerves. Time to service? Three weeks, and even if they could come earlier, they ‘probably won’t have the parts’. How can you not have a door seal for one of your most common products?
What an absolute joke.
I had a new sub-zero fridge freezer fitted mid January. 4/12 later it is not working and keeps switching itself off and is no longer refrigerating. Manual is completely unhelpful with virtually no troubleshooting advice. I rang the service department to be told that I need an engineer to visit but they have no availability for 10 days. In the meantime I have no fridge and all my fresh food is getting ruined. This is not the sort of service that I would expect for an extremely expensive appliance. Unbelievable
We have the cooktop with 6 burners plus griddle. It looks great, and for 6mths was great. Then it started taking several goes to light. Now at 24 mths old none of the burners will ignite at all. You speak to Wolf and they say it just needs a clean as none of the hobs apparently will light of any one of them isn’t sparking (erm, pretty dum design feature that nobody else has). But also wrong - it’s spotless and all hobs have functioning igniter spark. Their next suggestion is pay £1k per annum to fix it (or you can do £250 call out +£250 an hour + parts). This is an £8k hob. Is there anybody, other than Wolf, that thinks that it’s OK to sell a hob for £8k that just stops at 24 mths? These things have to be templated into your kitchen island - you can’t just buy a new one, even if you wanted to. It looks solid, and durable, professional and dependable, but domestic useage with a family of 4 has proven it to be unreliable overpriced tat. Wish I got the Gaggeneau - costs less, looks sharp, and (like every other hob I ever owned) actually works.
We have just purchased the Wolf Gourmet Toaster and are absolutely delighted with it .
Wonderful build quality and a really useful “stay warm” feature.
Would highly recommend this company .
We have had a Wolf Dual Fuel double Range for 2 years. It has broken down twice and each time the guys at Wolf came out within 3 days and fixed it an hour.
I think a lot of these negative reviews are unfair. If you own a Bentley or a Rolls Royce, expect it to be in the garage being fixed within first year. That’s the way it goes. I will say the service I’ve received from Wolf has been first class. Complainers tend to have an unrealistic sense of entitlement. Ignore them
Oh dear the wolf range is a disaster zone. Ours has broken several times since we bought it three years ago. initially the ovens kept cutting out and then the hobs wouldn’t ignite and the gas stopped. This last problem was “fixed” 4 weeks ago and has now happened again. We have no working cooker for Christmas. Engineers who have been before have suggested we have been unlucky with a poorly built cooker. Certainly the one we bought 15 years ago was great but this new model is terrible and unreliable.I would recommend that you do not buy a Wolf range. We are a loss to know what to do. For what is supposed to be a “rolls Royce” cooker it is just rubbish and the company doesn’t seem to care.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BUY A RANGE COOKER FROM WOLF
I'm writing this review whilst on hold trying to speak to the Wolf "customer service" department.... current wait time 50 minutes.
We have owned a wolf range cooker for 8 years, it was £14,000 as specced at the time, I believe they are closer to £18,000 now.
Since the date of installation the igniters for the hobs have not worked properly. Some days we had no hobs able to ignite, others all worked properly, and on other occasions completely random.
The dismissive representatives at wolf will condescendingly tell you that this is because the igniters are dirty. This is not the case... read the other reviews below and online, the igniters are a common fault.
We have paid a number of times to have the igniters repaired, Wolf sent contractors to "repair" at our cost on a number of occasions, each time the issue was not resolved at all. Each time we were charged £250.
My wife tried to live with the hob being entirely random, some days all burners worked, some days none worked, some days one or two ignited. This makes planning meals for a family impossible, and was totally unacceptable for a professional grade item.
Our most recent visit from a wolf engineer appears to have fixed the problem. The igniter kit has been replaced, the total bill for the work was £1562.59... for an issue we have had since day one.
There will be three things I regret on my death bed:
1) not spending enough time with my family
2) not travelling enough
3) buying a wolf oven

Ordered my appliances in April 2021
Delivered half in November 2021 another delivery in February 2022. Promised balance in May 2022. Then delayed until November 2022. Just heard they’ll try and get it to me in March 2023. Don’t go near them. There equipments all hype and they can’t even give you a firm delivery date after nearly two years !!
Hob worth £6000 packed up in 3 years. Issue with spark lighting up and staying lit. Struggled to reach servicing department and when we did they Refused to let us take warranty just on the hob and insisted we take it on all other appliances. Finally gave up and went for a cheaper product which costed as much as Wolf’s yearly warranty and functions much better. My advice- stay away.
I had an issue with of my lovely dual fuel ovens so I called in and was forwarded to Alex on the service team.
I was insisting on having an engineer come immediately as my ovens were out of use.
I was then informed of the over extortionate prices!! £200 just for the engineer to have a look!!!
I was then given some advice of things to try by Alex on the phone and thank goodness that it worked!! £200 for the visit then another £200 every hour, this is appalling for any client to have to pay!!
I love my appliances dearly and they are great machines but to have these charges as any company is ridiculous!
The service I received on the phone was fantastic, I’d like to thank Alex he was very polite and honest about the issue, he talked me through things very clearly and was patience when I was explaining my opinions on the prices.
Also for saving me A LOT of money!!!

Appalling customer “service”, how a company selling the most expensive kitchens can be so bad baffles me. We have been waiting nearly a year to get two ovens rectified without success. They never contact or answer the phone, Avoid
Requested a brochure, since then the regional manager emailed me 3 times offering “help” with a purchase, when I finally replied to ask about a price he disappeared from the face of the the earth. Surely you don’t expect people to make a purchase without knowing the price of something? Why not just include them in your brochure?!
ALWAYS DELAYED. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEEN WAITING A YEAR FOR MY SUB ZERO FRIDGE AND WOLF RANGE WHEN I WAS QUOTED 4 MONTHS. NO ONE CALLS TO UPDATE YOU. THEY JUST EXPECT YOU TO LIVE FOR MONTHS WITHOUT A FRIDGE OF COOKER. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
As previous reviews, I am appalled by the unacceptable customer service: one of my burners stopped working and I have now been waiting for over a year for a replacement! I have called so many times and I get the same story of the company that makes one component gone into liquidation, how is this a valid excuse for top of the range kitchen appliances (price tag to go with it!)
The service manager pretended to be surprised “how come you have not been contacted about this? I will sort it out TOMORROW”, weeks later still no news, another empty call right now. Please stay away from this company and Wolf/ Subzero please get involved!
I purchased a Range Top for £2567.00 in Dec 2017. It started to go wrong about 6 months ago, when I had difficulty in lighting the burners and then they'd turn off for no reason.
I contacted Wolf and was advised the issue maybe due to dirt, so I followed their instructions to clean each of the burners without success.
I got back in touch with Wolf and after waiting 2 weeks and paying £200 a Service Engineer visited. He immediately knew the problem - the Control Panel was faulty.
He offered a "temporary" replacement, but informed us that out of the 6 burners and gridle, only 3 random ones would work.
Apparently the company who supplies the Control Panels has gone into liquidation!
I have waited for over a month and there's been no communication from Wolf. In desperation, with Christmas around the corner, I contacted Wolf yesterday and spoke to Alex (helpful and honest) to learn this issue has been ongoing for 1 year. He told me there's a huge waiting list for the part in the UK, due to the US having to manufacture and conform with our safety standards before it can be exported.
Alex also informed me that the US keep promising to send replacements through but they never arrive.
I now have a less than 3 year old £2567.00 hob which is virtually useless.
This is appalling customer service from a company who boasts about it's "premium" range products.
If there are any other customers who are encountering the same issue as me, then please respond to this review as we may get faster resolution if we fight this issue as a group rather than individually.

Horrendous customer service!
I made a call out for my fridge/freezer and had to pay an upfront fee of 200GBP. I was told I needed a new evaporator which would take 2 weeks to arrive. After more than 2 months I finally had an engineer return to fit the evaporator just to find out that the fridge still didn't work and was actually beyond repair. I today received an email from Subzero that they charged my credit card another 684GBP without sending me an invoice first and asking for payment. They just charged the amount. They did not see any fault in their bad advice and did not try to find a compromise. When I asked to talk to the supervisor on the phone I was given a lame excuse.
I now have spent almost 900GBP and my fridge isn't working after almost 3months. To make matters worse, ordering a new fridge/freezer from Subzero will take 6months. This is no customer service. I will never buy another Subzero nor will I ever recommend them, certainly not in the UK.
