Overall I would recommend Tropco, the staff seem to genuinely care about the fish and customers as they respond quickly and communicate well.
I ordered panda guppies and ember tetra, the packaging is very well done and shipping is very quick. Only issue was the tetra arrived with a bad ich however probably due to stress of shipping- I received a 50% refund on the tetras to cover cost of treatment which I was very pleased with and so far only one tetra passed away and the rest recovered. I will certainly buy from Tropco again in the future!

(especially recommend if the fish you are seeking are not found in your area- It's been my dream to own panda guppies for a year now!)

Received my 2nd order from Tropco today, first order I had a burst bag which looked like it was down to the courier. 5 fish didn't survive the journey but I received excellent customer service from Beth. Replied to my emails promptly and dealt with everything A*. She sent me a refund and promised to replace the 5 that didn't make the journey on my next order, 2nd order has arrived, 5 extra as promised, all fish healthy and packaged great. No signs of any issues. Would definitely recommend 👍

Received 6 Congo Tetra today.Fish look ok health wise.
I couldn’t believe that only one of these was a male.As a very regular customer I contacted Tropco.They were not interested at all and said that’s how it is.Been fish keeping for 40 years and should get a better mix than this.Now an ex customer.

Ordered from Tropco multiple times now and have had no issues what so ever. All the fish were of high quality haven’t had any die or become ill. I had never ordered fish online before and have had nothing but the perfect experience, couriers where on time and fish were happy and healthy. My green neons coloured up as they were acclimating and have since ordered more . I had ordered some forktail rainbow fish and was contacted as they were not up to their standard and so was refunded which I was impressed that they would rather not sell them than have sub par fish unlike some fish shops. I will definitely be ordering more from them in the future.

All fish arrived healthy. And I had one die and they refunded me. Great company to work with but I highly recommend treating the new fish as if their ill. For example I treated mine with white spot treatment, melafix, stress coat. Out of all of the 27 fish I ordered only 1 died. Can’t be annoyed

We have received our fish today. I was unsure about having tropical fish delivered, but there was no need to worry. The fish were packed very well with their heat pads to keep them warm. We followed instructions for introducing the fish to the tank.
We left the light off for a few hours to let them settle.
They are happily swimming around showing no signs of stress. The fish look perfect. We will definately order from you again in the future.

Hadn’t used mail order before and being honest I wasn’t sure about it but I had a good experience. Fish delivered on time and now two weeks later all healthy and thriving. Would use again.

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the company.

From order through to contacting Tropco with questions and the delivery, packaging and quality of the fish received today, I am really impressed!

The fish are really good specimens and very healthy Fishnet Silver Siamese Algae eaters.

They both started to colour up whilst still in the bag acclimatising having just put the lights on after they have been in the tank for three hours they are both out and about checking out their new surroundings.

I have kept tropical fish for 15 years never used you before, but will certainly be coming back!

bought some female betas and 6 catfish from them. 1 catfish arrived dead got refunded but 7 days running since putting them in the tank ive had 3 catfish just die tested the water nitrates are low nitrites none no ammonia very planted tank and no hostile tank mates just corys so im now £18 down and the fact you have to pay £20 delivery makes it feel even worse. betas are fine all 5 still happily alive so its not my aquarium as its been setup over 5 years now.

they sent out 4 female betas to replace the dead fish. mostly its down to apc,s courier he handles boxes like theyre second hand clothing tossing them about. told him be carefull he said its ok they packaged well i said yeah not for tossing around i said how would you like to be in a box and thrown around told tropco this and complained to couriers as hes same one delivered the first lot. over a weekend all new betas died and remaining catfish had died so they just refunded me it was easier to be honest its not tropco its the couriers hiring dumbpeople that can read fragile live fish handle with care. merry xmas everyone

I have been using Tropco for a number of years and I've always been extremely happy with the quality of their fish and the care in their transport packaging.Recently I've had two bad experiences concerning fish I'd ordered,the first involved 10 Rummy Nose tetra fish,before i had opened the transport bag it was obvious that there was some dead fish in the bag as they were just lying on the bottom,in all 5 fish were dead and 1 looked very poorly and died the following day.
Immediately phoning Tropco a young lady apologised and promised a part refund which I received.
A month later I placed another order for 2 Corydoras,2 Nerite snails and a giant Betta,on opening the bags my wife commented that she could only see 1 fish in the bag that should of had 2 Corydoras and sadly that fish was dead,so all I got from my order was the Betta and 2 snails and a dead Corydoras.
Once again I was given a partial refund for the DOA and an apology which was fine but once again my order wasn't problem free,and I've paid £19.95 p&p for 1 fish and 2 snails.
Considering I had placed two orders totalling £134 within a month and had a bad experience with both orders I am wary of using Tropco.co.uk again.

Received my 3 x rare albino dolphins on the 13/10/21 I was delighted with them. All arrived safe and was packed well.
I put them in my quarantine tank on their own as I do with all my fish including 3 albino dolphins that I had bought elsewhere( smaller ones ) which are now in my 6ft main tank happily swimming around .
The first few hours they seamed absolutely fine but then they started to go down hill hiding away etc .
I have now lost all 3 of them and I did exactly the same with these 3 as I did with my other 3 … Just does not make any sense . I’m totally distraught .

Tropco review
I ordered fish from this company, A.K.A. Andrew Lintott and Assoc. Ltd. over a month ago, time enough to get my new aquarium established and clean the old one. Both tropical. I had worries about buying live fish on line. Beth could not have been more helpful.
With a month’s grace I of course did a lot of research and modified my order. No problem in the least! Then worried about the fish I had decided on. Was assured they would be packed in bags of oxygen and heated. They arrived on the Thursday morning of the 7 October as promised. I let them rest for and hour before unpacking. They all looked well and with 6 magic heat pads to keep them warm. The pads were still warm 3 days later! They are juveniles for the most part so ate after a few hours. The Siamese Fighting fish was exactly what I wanted, Blue and Red. (Another telephone request to Beth).
In all I was delighted with the company. Days on they seem to have settled very well and still looking healthy. I have kept tropical fish since I was 5, 60 years. I was bought up in the tropics so never had heaters, or bubblers. I hate to think how inadvertently cruel I was without air pumps. The DX delivery driver was als excellent. Guy Peterson, EX13, Devon

Ordered some cichlids xl males but they didn't have any ! They contacted me day of delivery and offered the size down which were more expensive and didn't charge me ! Brilliant service and the fish came well packed and after an hour were chilled out and swimming with the gang ! Gorgeous fish would buy again !

The albino ruby shark I ordered was supposed to be 5cm, on arrival I find a baby 1.2-1.5 cm ruby shark which I wasn’t overly happy about and also ordered a cyrtocara Moorii dolphin which was meant to be 6-7cm which came 2cm and I’m also uncertain it’s even the right fish until it grows some more. Don’t think I’ll shop here again although they all turned up safe and sound.

Lovely selection of fish. All very healthy and expertly packaged. I've tried quite a few online fish stockist but the health and quality of the fish doesn't compare to tropco.

Bought a selection of Guppy's from Tropco this week and have to say I was extremely pleased with both the quality of the fish and the protections they were afforded by the well-thought-out packaging. Heat pads were still warm and plenty of water in the bags to assure a plentiful supply of oxygen en-route for the number of fish in each bag. Definitely recommend and will buy again from Tropco.

I have bought different times from them and I have had great experiences and not so good. Generally I would say for African cichlids their stock is good; I have a group of frontosas I grew from 2’ to over 6’ now; very healthy fish. The angelfish I have from them are also great and some of their colour variants are difficult to find; I got albino blue sheen and they are stunning. The bad; I wish they were more responsive to the selection of fish, I understand this is not possible with many fish; but it is quite important when you are buying Malawi, the ratios of females and males are critical as it is having an all male tank of Peacoks. I also get a bit frustrated that you can’t speak with the manager if there is a problem and the communication is by email. Having said that; the staff is really nice, they tried to help, and for instance I had an order with two panda uaru dying within a couple of hours of being delivered and I could replace them with angelfish and they gave a free delivery. There is room for improvement as there is in most things, but I feel they are a good company trying to do their best.
