We recently put our house on the market with Beresfords Estate Agents and from day one we were extremely well looked after by Charlotte Micallef and Josh Sutherland.
Both Charlotte and Josh were very professional, approachable, and supportive. Selling a house can be stressful, but their communication, knowledge, and calm approach made the whole process feel more manageable.
Unfortunately, we had to remove our house from the market for personal reasons, and even though by then they had sold our property, they fully understood our situation, and we never felt they were disappointed we had to pull out of the deal.
We really appreciated this and would highly recommend both of them, and Beresfords Estate Agents, to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Charlotte Micallef, Director of the Upminster Office at Beresfords, went completely above and beyond for us during the sale of our home. After having three different agents out to value our property, Charlotte stood out immediately. She was honest, knowledgeable, professional and realistic from the very beginning. Unlike some of the other agents, she didn’t just tell us what we wanted to hear to win our business — she told us the truth about the market, backed everything up with evidence and explained exactly how she and her team would achieve the best possible result for us. That honesty gave us complete confidence in her.
Before deciding which agent to use, we did a huge amount of research ourselves. We looked into sales figures, reviews, local reputation and market presence, and it quickly became obvious why Beresfords Upminster are the number one agent in the area. Charlotte’s reviews were outstanding and, when speaking to local people in Upminster, her name kept coming up time and time again. Vendors spoke so highly of her, and now we completely understand why.
Charlotte is everything you would want in an estate agent. She is incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, proactive and hardworking, but what we appreciated most was that there is absolutely no nonsense with her. What also impressed us massively was the incredible team she has around her. Every single person worked tirelessly to help get our house sold, and you could genuinely see how well they all work together. The communication was exceptional throughout. We were always updated with viewing feedback promptly, kept informed on phone-outs, buyer interest and next steps, and no question was ever too much trouble. They made us feel like our sale truly mattered to them.
The teamwork, professionalism and energy within the office really does set Beresfords Upminster apart from the competition. They don’t just list houses — they properly work for their clients and do everything they can to achieve the best possible outcome.
Charlotte herself is a huge asset to Beresfords and they are incredibly lucky to have her. Her passion, drive, honesty and commitment to her clients are second to none, and it is very clear why she and her team have built such an outstanding reputation in Upminster.
