En tant qu'artiste nous avons eu de bonnes années avec Jamendo mais depuis quelques années les paiements sont fait dans des délais aléatoires... et maintenant j'attends un paiment depuis presque un an, et malgré de multiples mails on n'a que des réponses génériques et aucun paiment à l'horizon, alors qu'ils continuent à encaisser l'argent.. honteux !

Fraud Alert: Jamendo Hides Income from Adobe, Adrev, Streaming, and Licenses

Hello. It is important to be aware that Jamendo operates in a manner consistent with fraudulent practices. They withhold and conceal authors' earnings, including revenue from license sales, Adobe partnerships, Adrev, streaming services, and radio broadcasts. When Content ID disputes arise with clients, they instruct authors to resolve these issues by presenting licenses that are not actually associated with the authors' accounts, all while claiming that their system is transitioning to a new platform — this is misleading and should not be trusted.

I have contacted all of their third-party partners, who confirmed that all payments are remitted in accordance with their respective agreements — meaning that Jamendo receives all funds into their own accounts and subsequently fails to disclose or distribute these earnings to the rightful rights holders.

I also wish to caution all authors: even if you have successfully requested the removal of your music from Content ID, this does not guarantee that your rights are protected. You must actively monitor claims on your tracks via YouTube, as Jamendo has been known to switch Content ID providers and rename your tracks (which constitutes a violation of the moral right to the integrity of the work) in order to continue collecting royalties on your behalf.

This has already occurred with Identifyy; I cannot confirm whether similar practices exist with other partners, but I urge everyone to verify everything independently, as their methods are deceptive and constitute unauthorized use of your music.

By failing to fulfill their core obligations — including the payment of royalties, license fees, and distributions — Jamendo has materially breached the terms of the agreement. Consequently, the contract may be considered terminated or void, as they are not performing their duties in good faith, are engaging in deceit, and are intentionally misrepresenting the terms.

I urge all authors to demand their rightful earnings and to actively defend their rights. Let's join forces and file a class action lawsuit.

Je suis parti de Jamendo

Bonjour,

apres plus de 10 années sur le site Jamendo Music, en tant qu’”artiste”, j’ai décidé de m’en
aller, et de supprimer les 50 titres de chansons et musiques éléctro que j’y avait déposé.

Le site était super au début, personne ne t’ennuyait, du déposait tes morceaux, quand tu
voulait.

J’ai jamais eu des milliers d’écoutes, mais au fils des ans, ça augmentait.

Aujourd’hui, ils ont décidés, qu’il fallait obligatoirement prendre la license Jamendo, pour
déposé des titres!

Bon j’ai lu 3 fois leur license, (en anglais, bien sur.

Si j’ai tout compris, cette license, leur donne droit sur tous tes titres, ils en font ce qu’ils
veulent, vendre pour de la pub, pour ascenseur, pour jeux videos, etc, etc…

ils ont droit sur tes tritres a vie, si j’ai bien compris,.

Moi au début j’était sur le site juste pour que des gens comme vous et moi écoute ma
musique, pas pour la vendre.

Le site s’en va dans une direction commercial, vendre a tout prix

Qu’il laisse les “artistes qui ne veulent pas de license tranquille, et ceux qui veulent vendre
leurs musique qu’ils prennent la license.

Bon c’est dommage, le site était sympa, facile a utilisé,on découvrait plein d’artiste.

On va l’oublié.

L’avenir nous dira, si ils on eu raison de changer de politique.

Over a year of unpaid payouts

Jamendo used to be a great website, but unfortunately, musicians should absolutely not work with them right now. I have been waiting for my payout for over a year now, and about $900 has accumulated in my account. The support team does nothing but reply with standard templates.

I been using this platform for over 3…

I been using this platform for over 3 years, the platform pushed my music to over millions of people which is very cool, I got paid yesterday by the platforms, the payments sometimes it takes months but they always keep their words and pay, the support teams will not leave you unanswered that's why I give 4 stars, they keep their words on paying artists so I give 4 stars, if the payment is on time I will come back and give 5 stars review, thank you the team for always been supportive ! :D

Seit einem Jahr keine Zahlungen mehr...

Bin seit 14 Jahren bei JAMENDO mit ca. 10 Millionen Streams und über 500 Tsd. Downloads. Leider werden seit einem Jahr keine Umsätze mehr ausbezahlt. Regelmäßige Anfragen zum Zahlungsstatus werden immer nur mit "Geduld haben" beantwortet. Außerdem sind die Statistiken zu den Umsätzen nicht nachvollziehbar, weil nicht sichtbar. Bin sehr, sehr enttäuscht...

Yes they don't pay royalties to artists anymore and I only get different explanations everytime i contact them. What is going on with jamendo are they scamming artists and keep all royalties for themselves and move the money to some shady bank somewhere!?

They don't pay their contributors

Don’t buy from these they don’t pay their contributors.

I’ve been waiting for over a year for my payment, which should come the next month after asking for it once I reached the threshold.
After numerous emails saying “  I wish to extend my apologies for the delay you have experienced. This payment request is a high priority case as we speak and it will be honoured as we have done in the past “ still nothing.
But they keep selling my music and they get paid for it but don’t pass it on to me. Even though they get 70% of the fee anyway.

ARTISTS AND CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING JAMENDO.COM

I have been an artist on Jamendo since 2007. There have been serious problems with royalty reporting and payments on Jamendo throughout the years, with the biggest issues around 2011/2012 when I already considered leaving the platform. At the time, artists were repeatedly given explanations about accounting backlogs, internal processing issues, and promises that new systems and processes would resolve the situation. Unfortunately, what has been happening since 2025 is by far the worst situation I have experienced and ultimately forced me to remove my music from the platform entirely.

Since December 2023, my "Jamendo stream licensing revenue share" reporting has stopped updating, meaning a substantial amount of revenue has neither been reported nor paid.

What concerns me even more is that after removing my music and receiving confirmation from customer support that my tracks had been removed from Jamendo Licensing, the tracks still remain publicly accessible and fully licensable through direct Jamendo Licensing URLs. The tracks had only been removed from search results.

I am still able to access the licensing pages directly, add tracks to the cart, and proceed through checkout despite support confirming the content had supposedly been removed from licensing. Customer support then attempted to explain this as a Google caching/indexing issue, even though these are direct platform URLs accessed independently of Google. At every stage there always seems to be another explanation, delay, or technical issue instead of the underlying problems actually being resolved.

What I find particularly frustrating is that Jamendo markets itself to customers as a platform that fairly supports artists and shares revenues with them, while artists themselves are left with unpaid years worth of royalties and reporting alongside repeated generic explanations.

Given the scale of reporting delays and the lack of transparency surrounding royalty processing, I believe the platform's reporting and revenue-sharing practices require independent review and for someone to finally take accountability.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise artists not to sign up to Jamendo. I would also strongly recommend carefully studying their terms and conditions to fully understand what rights you have granted.

I will continue documenting and sharing my experience publicly, and will consider further legal action should my stream revenue remain unpaid and my tracks continue to remain accessible despite removal requests and confirmations from support. If other artists are experiencing similar issues, please report here or feel free to reach out.

Cómo artista es un robo. Hasta hace poco pagaban las licencias. Ahora llevo más de un año desde que pedí el último cobro. Así que retiraré toda mi música para evitar que sigan aprovechándose de ella.

Fraudulent business

I unfortunately have been uploading to Jamendo for years, and have always had a lot of problems getting my royalties paid to me. I’m now once again in the same position and I strongly caution any artist against working with them. You won’t get your money. This is a fraudulent business.

Unresolved Royalty Payments

I have been an active artist on Jamendo for years with millions of listens across my catalog. Since June 18, 2025 over nine months ago I have received zero payment updates, zero royalty statements, and zero meaningful communication about money owed to me.
This is not a technical glitch. This is a pattern. Hundreds of artists are reporting the same thing. Royalties sitting in pending indefinitely, vague responses, excuses about system migrations, and silence. Jamendo is collecting licensing revenue off our music while we wait with nothing.
I have now sent a formal breach of contract notice demanding a full royalty statement, an explanation, and immediate payment within 14 days. If that is not met, I will be pursuing legal options and filing complaints with the relevant consumer and creative rights authorities.
To any artist considering Jamendo do your research before uploading. To Jamendo I expect a response.

Siempre repiten la misma cancion a la misma hora

Es mejor poner musica desde un pendrive, Es pésimo el servicio toda la música se repite todos los dias a la misma hora la lista ambiente de compras esta llena de artistas que aun nadie conoce y de poco éxito la lista musica 2010 es pésima y la lista new es aun peor sin hablar que en su mayoría es música en habla inglesa la cual podia variar con el español. Conclusión no cotrateis este servicio. Llevo 4 meses y me estoy volviendo loco de oir lo mismo

As a user who listens to the songs published on Jamendo Music, I have to make a point to the company: invest more, much more, to make the site more modern and usable. Furthermore, develop apps that can be real competitors to the mainstream ones. You have good content to do so.

Great platform, terrible payment system

I've been working with Jamendo for several years and I have to say — their support team is actually quite responsive. The problem is that responsiveness means nothing when every single reply is a copy-paste template.
The real issue is payments. Jamendo has their own withdrawal rules stating that payouts will be processed within 10 days of the following month after you click withdraw. In all the years I've worked with them, they have never once paid on time. Not a single time.
Money can sit in your account marked as "Available" for months, sometimes years. You hit withdraw, nothing happens. You contact support, they respond quickly — I'll give them that — but the response is always some variation of "we're aware, we're working on it, thank you for your patience." Every time. Without exception.
At one point they even told me I hadn't clicked the withdrawal button at the right time — which wasn't true. And even after that "explanation," the money still didn't arrive the next month. Or the month after. Or the month after that.
Right now I have $2,657 marked as Available since February 20th. This includes YouTube Monetization earnings for Q4 2024 — meaning YouTube has already paid Jamendo. The money is literally in their account. I sent a formal payment demand, got a response within hours. Friendly, apologetic, completely vague. No date, no explanation, nothing actionable.
To their credit — they do eventually pay. The money does arrive. But "eventually" can mean anywhere from 3 months to over a year, which creates a serious cash flow problem for independent artists.
The frustrating part is that Jamendo's YouTube Content ID system actually works really well — better than most alternatives out there. There's genuinely nothing comparable in terms of how effectively they monetize your music on YouTube. So you're stuck. You need the platform, but getting your money out of it feels like a part-time job.
If you're an artist considering Jamendo — go for it, the music side is solid. Just don't count on seeing your money anywhere near when they say you will.

What Happened since mid-2025 with Jamendo Payments n' Royalties?

What's been happening to Jamendo? We used to recommend it to lots of friends and other labels, but now looks like something is legally stuck forever.

Never had such an issue before.

A month later, the situation was resolved successfully, and the royalties were paid, but this only happened after an official notification was sent to Jamendo's partners, so it's difficult to pinpoint the exact issue. I'm just glad that one headache has been resolved.

I am writing this review to warn all fellow artists and partners. Jamendo (Llama Group) has failed to pay out artist royalties for over 3 months now. My brother (also an artist on this platform) has not been able to receive them for more than 8 months. The support team cites vague "accounting issues," but holding funds generated from our sales on partner platforms like Adobe Stock is not a technical glitch—it is a breach of contract and a sign of insolvency.
My content is generating revenue on Adobe Stock via Jamendo, yet Jamendo is withholding these funds. This is unacceptable.

To Jamendo Management:
I am done waiting. If my outstanding balance is not cleared immediately, my next step is to contact the Adobe Stock Legal & Copyright Department directly. I will formally inform them that Jamendo is in breach of contract and no longer has the valid rights to license my catalog. I will demand the removal of my content from Adobe Stock to stop this unauthorized monetization.

The changes are not for the better

Hello everyone!
I don't want to bring this up, but unfortunately, Jamendo's recent actions force me to do so.
Like many authors, I haven't received payments for over six months and have also received the same responses from their team.
Last month, I was informed that my previously requested payment had been queued, but after January 10th, the money still hasn't arrived.
It's a shame this situation has arisen because up until now, there have been virtually no delays, and Jamendo has allowed me to freely distribute my music.
But, as always, all good things must come to an end. Perhaps Jamendo faces tough times ahead.

UPD:
It's worth noting that the money was finally paid, albeit with a delay of 8-9 months.
It's not very pleasant to wait and beg for your own hard-earned money, but at the same time, the full amount was paid, and that's encouraging.
