Purchase of our first Abarth 595
We have recently purchased an Abarth 595 and was assisted by Sales Executive Connor Jacobs at Motorvogue Norwich.
Not only delighted with the motor, we received friendly, non pushy and polite help and advice from Connor. We would thoroughly recommend Connor and Motorvogue, Norwich from the dealings we have had with them so far.

Don’t go to motorvogue if you have an emergency
I’ve been with motorvogue for around 8-9 years. In the last 6/7 months however, I’ve not had the best experience with them.
Recently, my seatbelt jammed and it was unusable, in order to drive my car safely, I have to use a screwdriver to unjam the seatbelt, but then risk getting stuck in the car. This means that I would have to drive my car unsafely to get to and from work. Luckily, I can use my husbands car, but only for a short while as he goes back to work beginning of next week.
I rang motorvogue straight away at 8:30am (which was their opening time) no one answered for half an hour. At 9am someone finally answered from the sales department. I asked politely to be put through to services in which they tried but with no avail.
About two hours later I finally got through, in which I was told that it’ll cost nearly £200 for a diagnostics service (even though I could tell them what happened) and then more money for the parts, but couldn’t give me an estimate as to how much that would be. This was all mentioned, and then spoke about booking in… on the 22nd May. This happened on the 1st May.
I explained that I couldn’t wait that long as I needed my car to get around for work, livelihood etc…
Motorvogue overall aren’t the most helpful garage. Even explaining that this is quite an important part of the car, (obviously) they wouldn’t help anymore. I even asked for guidance or advice about where I could go to have this looked at URGENTLY and they said “we don’t have that information”
This was just the start of the problems with motorvogue, I also found out that they hadn’t written my latest service and MOT in my service book, Renaults salesmen are uninterested in helping you buy a car, I felt like an idiot when asking questions and was just an awful experience.
I have had good experience with motorvogue, but recently the negatives are outweighing the positives, and I really didn’t want to write this review, but my experience yesterday was shocking.
When I do drop my car off for services they are always friendly and helpful, they put me at ease knowing my car is in safe hands. I do often had to prompt them with a phone call to find out when my car is ready for pick up, but I know that the garage is busy.

How do they getaway with this kind of service?
My wife took her Fiat 500 to the Bedford branch for a squeaking clutch pedal. To book the car in she had to pay £175.00 consultation fee.The car was inspected by an expert technician and he said the car needed a new clutch, master cylinder and slave cylinder and also 2 front suspension arms total cost would be £2.500 .As a main Fiat dealer you would expect them know the squeaking clutch pedal is a common fault that occurs due to the position of the slave cylinder. Needless to say we declined the repair.I then took the car to a private garage, completed the repair for £468.00 which was more involved due to corroded pipework.Previous to this we had good service from from this dealer but now there is no way I would have any dealings with them again .

Charging £180 per hour to diagnose a faulty part!
Motorvogue Seat Northampton has quoted a charge of £180 per hour to diagnose an inherent faulty air conditioning unit on a vehicle of just 34,000 miles. This is my local Seat branch and it's attempting to exploit myself as a Seat owner with BS & Politics with the sole purpose of making profit from a situation it as a local Seat branch should put right without a diagnosis charge. This review will not be revised until an acceptable resolution is reached.

Absolutely amazing customer service
Had a wonderful experience at Motorvogue Norwich where I dealt with James Phillippo, I had came into the dealership to test drive the new Hyundai Kona Electric Ultimate and right from the start James was Welcoming, friendly, confident and put my mind at ease in selecting the right car for me, James took me out to the vehicle and showed me around and showed me what the new Kona could do compared to my current Kona, I then took it out for a test drive and on arrival back at the dealership I was so impressed with the car and how well James's customer service had been thus far I put an order in for the new 2024 Kona Electric Ultimate, from beginning to end James looked after me so well his customer service was impeccable 10/10 I CANNOT WAIT to collect my car from James tomorrow 😀

Lied to by main dealer.
Six weeks ago took my car to Norwich branch for condensation in headlights. Under warranty they told me they replaced the condensation bags in the headlights.
Problem persisted took the car back last week. They informed me they didn’t do anything last time around. So they lied to me. Committed fraud in fact. Promising to put everything right this week. Time will tell. At 54 never been lied to by a main dealer before. Unbelievable poor service.

Motorvouge kings lynn have lied to me…
Motorvouge kings lynn have lied to me on a review I left on Google. I had a great buying experience but absolute terrible after service problems with a used car some bits are still not right but I can bring myself to go back I feel like I can't I hate driving the car because I've paid a company who have lied to me and lost alot of time amd money driving back and forth days off work 80 mile round trips. The replies to negative or constructive feedback are lies over 3 weeks ago I was told I will be contacted I was supposed to meet with a manager last time I was there no one came to see me.
Best Sales Executive in Norwich (Motorvogue Jeep)
I would like to say thank you very much to Connor Jacobs. He is a profession, kind, polite and patient staff. I got my car since 1/3 , no any problem.
Connor provides excellent services from first time visit until pick up my car process smoothly and I am definitely happy.
My English is not good. Connor always explained to me by restructure the sentence to use more simple wording when he felt I got question on my face (I guess). My experience is people say simple English to me usually also reduce the wording/information. but Connor always pay many effort to explain to me in full.
He is a best sales executive so far in UK.

Chasing the money; no customer focus.
Motorvogue may offer excellent deals on new cars but their after sales support is non existent once they have your money. Picked up a new Seat in February (which was scratched on handover - seriously?!) and paid for Seat service plan on the day. Couldn't set up the plan on the day though because 'system was down'. Two months on and I am still waiting for the service plan to be set up. Sales and Motorvogue's customer (don't) care team just ignoring me now. They are quite happy to take your money but have no interest in their customers.

Start to finish was a bad experience…
Start to finish was a bad experience with motorvogue norwich. No communication. Constant chasing. Then when I went to pick my car up (baring in mind I paid an Advance payment of £1000 plus £400 for colour) they handed me a car in a different colour. Such a poor effort to rectify the situation. Found a replacement car for me in the colour I ordered, but it had factory fittings so wanted to charge me an additional £1000!! When I pointed out that the jeep no longer has an advance payment, and I could use the £1000 I had already paid to secure the jeep they found, they then told me the jeep had been sold. So I have no car after waiting 4 months. Disappointed doesn’t cut it. Constantly chasing for my refund now. I honestly believe they sold my car to a non mobility customer and then gave me something they had in the forecourt, thinking I’m a mobility customer and will get what I’m given. Awful experience. I have now ordered a new vehicle through VW and So far been a much better experience. Actually treated like every other customer. Will stay well away from motorvouge.

A Citroen C4 Cactus auto petrol.
I saw a Citroen C4 Cactus on the motorvogue website and arranged to view on 27/02/24. on arrival was welcomed by Simon Jolly who turned out to be a very warm and friendly fellow who knew his trade.
I was shown the car and had all the new equipment and how it worked. We went on a road test and the car drove like a dream. I asked if it could be deliverd and he said no problem. he said we will put it through a Mot valet and do all the paperwork forr you ad deliver it when done. True to his word it was delivered and was in a great condition.
would have no worries in recommending this company for its care of customers. thank you to Simon for his care and help.27/02/24

Once again disappointing service from…
Once again disappointing service from kings Lynn... Don't know how many times they let me know the car was ready for a service..I booked it in and was asked for an email address so confirmation could be sent. It never arrived.. Today I dropped it off and picked it up 3 hours later. Whilst waiting with my daughter with me there was a conversation going on between staff about the best way to fix a key fob problem, very prolonged with the outcome being "what ever we f--k up we'll have to put right again" .. Surprised to hear this at a main dealership. They also mislaid my keys, not knowing if Sandice who was doing a valuation still had them, the valeters or the mechanic... After leaving I realised my front bulb was out,it worked on the way there and had an MOT the day before. Went back and was told a bulb could blow anytime - makes a mockery of the clean bill of health paperwork they gave me 5 minutes earlier. Was fixed for free as " I had paid a rather large bill from them today" I only go back so hopefully they know how to service a car and look after it, beginning to think the friendly mechanic up the road from me would be the better option!!!

Excellent customer service from Ottis…
Excellent customer service from Ottis White at the Bedford branch. He has been so helpful with the purchase of our car. He was not at all pushy and just explained the features of the cars available and allowed us to test drive the vehicle with absolutely no pressure more importantly he gave us time think our decision over without a hard sell. This is so much better than experiences we have had in car dealerships before. The hand over of the vehicle was thorough and he has made it clear that he will be available should there be any queries we may have.

Motorvogue Bedford (Jeep)
I recently purchased a new Jeep, and I must say, the customer experience throughout the entire journey was truly exemplary. From the moment I had questions about the vehicle to receiving detailed information about their assets, the Jeep team, particularly Paul (Both), Sam, and Charlotte, demonstrated utmost professionalism and helpfulness. They took the time to address all my queries and ensured I was well-informed at every step. The transaction itself was remarkably smooth and pleasant. A big thank you to the entire Jeep Team at Bedford for making this experience memorable.

Extremely disappointed with aftercare.
Extremely disappointed with aftercare.
This is a long review, which unfortunately reflects the number of issues we've had with buying a used car from Motorvogue.
On the 3rd Jan 2024 I collected a car paid for online with Motorvogue King's Lynn through Ben Youngman. When we turned up to collect from Bury St Edmunds branch Ben realised that the car's tax could only be transferred via the post office. We then had to rush to the post office and print a new V5C in Rymans (Motorvogue only had a copy) and pay for a V62 form. Ben did get a refund processed for this eventually. On the drive back to the branch to finalise the handover, now about 5.30pm, we noticed the tyre pressure warning light was on. We pushed for this to get checked and it was found the pressures were low and this was fixed. Exhausted from all the stress and needing the car for the next day, as we were selling our only car on the 4th Jan, we quickly finalised the handover. Given it was so dark it was also hard to check the car over as much as we'd like, which I now deeply regret.
On getting home that evening, we realised the car had not had a service in the last year. Ben arranged for an additional service but this couldn't be booked in until the 19th Jan, but was completed although the date entered was for January 2023 instead of 2024.
We then noticed that the car had some deep scratches in Zone A of the windscreen, approximately 2-4cm vertically, low down on the driver's side in line with the steering wheel. It was quite hard to see these because of their position low down on the windscreen, and hard to photograph, hence why we only noticed a few days later (reported on 10th Jan to Ben). We can't understand what caused these and we discussed this with the Motorvogue Bury branch who did the service who could not explain it either and suggested it needed specialist repair. The scratches can be felt when you run your hands over them.
I contacted approximately 5 different repair specialists and each one suggested the damage was too severe and would cause distortion of the windscreen. Indeed, they also said it constituted an MOT failure due to the depth of the scratches, their position in Zone A, and their size. I then collected 5-6 quotes on the cost of a windscreen replacement.
I contacted Ben and the customer care team via email with images and further information from the 10th Jan to the 26th Jan and only received a response from Ben on the 27th Jan. He said to tell him the cost of repair. When I informed him of the fact the windscreen had to be replaced, I was told on the 30th Jan that Motorvogue would not be paying the cost of the windscreen replacement as they believed the damage did not constitute an MOT failure. I replied and stated the opinions of all the repair specialists was that this was an MOT failure and must be replaced. Everyone I have spoken to has said they are very surprised that Motorvogue would not pay for a replacement screen.
I'm now worried what else might go wrong with the car. The communication is so slow and difficult to get an answer in a reasonable timeframe.
In summary, I've had an appalling experience with Motorvogue, including:
1. Stressful experience in collecting car due to lack of preparation in transferring vehicle tax.
2. Car was not serviced in last year.
3. Windscreen scratches that constitute and MOT failure were not spotted by Motorvogue in their 'full vehicle health check' that is supposed to come with every car.
4. Poor communication and slow aftercare service.
Points 1 and 2 have been resolved but I've been forced to refer point 3 to the Motor Ombudsman. After care is shocking from Motorvogue. I would not buy from them again - I've completely lost any trust in their practices and would not recommend. I can only hope that this review spurs some action to resolve my complaint.
