Long delays for a pre booked large group
We were a large group of parents and children (only children participating) booked a week prior online for 14, bowling food and darts. Our lanes (3 next to eachother) were not ready for 25 minutes after our slot. We checked in at the desk 5 mins before our booked time, having to entertain a group of 10yr olds in arcades for 25 minutes is very expensive - already paid £15 each for the bowling food and darts. Our food arrived before we even managed to get to our lanes. Not very well organised. The booking references didn't work for the darts so had to go back to desk to get help. Ordering drinks via the QR code was easy enough however the delay for drinks was poor, and then lots of what was ordered wasn't available.

So booked bowling and bough food when got there to find out no pizza bases left ok no problem then the lane broke on my sons turn and barriers stopped working to then wait 15 minutes to get moved to the next lane okay no problem all sorted but then to spend £30 in arcade and find out ticket machine was broken and my son could not cash his tickets I mean what was the point? -90 quid and a terrible experience

The friendless of the staff. Explaining how to set the game up and general politeness. Also had a problem with one side of the bumper was quickly fixed without issue.

Filthy
Obviously we had a good time bowling but it was so dirty. When we arrived at our lane the last people were still there which is fine, but the mess they left behind that didn't get cleared up wasn't. The whole time we were there I didn't see a single person. Other lanes were in the same state too. Just wasn't fair to have to work around the mess. And the fact there were 5 plus people stood behind the bar just chatting made the whole experience even more annoying. Don't think ill be going back.

Family night
The new decor and layout is great! There was some school kids messing when we was there and the staff handled them well. All in all a nice family night out.

Staff were not helpful. It was ok and facilities are good
It was ok and facilities are good. I understand and appreciate renovations are being carried out, however the staff were not very helpful or active with service. We arrived,booked in easy enough and given our Lane number. Got to the lane and there were glasses, rubbish, food plates and mess. I had to ask for blue roll and spray. Not 1 member of staff offered to help which was very disappointing. There were plenty of staff available and it was not very busy. There was only 1 member of staff behind the bar too, which seemed to take a long time to get served!!

Great experience
On arrival, reception were pleasant and helpful. The area was clean, even though the building was having alterations done.
Bowling area clean, and everything really straightforward to operate.
Went with our grandchildren during the half term break. We had a really good time, and a great experience. Would definitely recommend Tenpin good atmosphere

Good fun, but issues with other kids
It’s a great place to take children during school holidays and all five of them loved it. However, there is clearly an issue with kids just arriving at the venue, with no intention of bowling, no adults with them. At one point there were around 10 children running around the place screaming, a couple of little ones were knocked over because of them. You need to have someone manning the doors and checking that bookings have been made. It’s not a place for feral kids to spend the day. Apart from that, the staff are lovely, and my gang had fun.

Not sure why you’d ask for reviews…
Not sure why you’d ask for reviews during renovations. Major disruption due to that. The place was packed in spite of this. Loud, messy, can never find enough balls suitable for kids, having to hunt for ramps for them, not great. It’s time we ditched the Covid plastic barriers and created more comfortable seating and turned the heating on. Sign of the times. Don’t let Rochdale go.

No lane greeting. Had to grab the cleaning products from the bar area and clean sides ipad touch screen plus the lane separation screen cause there was drinks takeaway wrapping plus ketch up just everywhere. Not great when it was a family party do

When we went to Rocdale for…bowling
When we went to Rochdale for bowling,they are part way through renovations. This did impact on the visit. There are fewer lanes available. There are pool tables to the rear of the lanes (Don't know if this is going to be a permanent now. ) We found the venue to be cold. The staff were lovely, doing their best under the circumstances. We will wait a while before going back,hopefully when the renovations are completed.
