The mortgage works just pass everything off to enact who are also terrible. Would avoid at all costs. Not even worth the the tiny percentage they offer below everyone else.
Would never use ever again.
Also their new policy is to try and force you to get a digital id through enact.

So I would recommend avoiding this lender. I recently made an application for a buy to let mortgage. They charged me £300 fee for a valuation knowing that the property I was looking to purchase fell outside of their lending criteria. To my mind this is dishonest/sharp practice. Why on earth would they have me spend money on a vaulation knowing full well that the lease fell outside of their lending criteria? When the valuer turned up at the property it was completely clear to the estate agents he had no interest in valuing the property, didn't ask anything about it, glanced around and told them the ground rent and service charge were problematic. All information they had to hand. The ludicrous thing is that the ground rent - which it said could double within 15 years - will be capped come new legislation which is coming in by 2028 and every lender knows this. I feel I've been completely ripped off and would like my money refunded. If not I will escalate the issue to the financial ombudman. Bad form TMW. Why on earth are you allowing people to spend their money knowing full well you won't offer funding? Is it any wonder banks have a bad reputation.
I appreciate your response but it hardly covers my complaint. I would like you to issue a refund of the money I wasted on this valuation. I have made a direct complaint to yourselves and requested a refund. I look forward to a fuller response.

Have had a mortgage with TMW for years - rate coming to an end within next two months. Tried using the TMW switch on line and it didn’t work. Contacted TMW by phone and eventually spoke to someone who told me to use the online facility. Told them it wasn’t working for me. She told me to try again - actually felt that she couldn’t be bothered to help. Now at the end of our term, had email contact from TMW advising me to use on line switch, tried again and didn’t work. Paying mortgage off instead. Poor service.

I have aways found The Mortgage Works very helpful and easy to get things done. However, I could not open the link to sign something recently, and many days later, I am still waiting for the document I need to sign to arrive by post.

I enjoyed good customer service. The staff was very patient and professional. He seems to have good understanding of his work and able to guide me through the assessment. He was always making sure I understood him and we were on the same frequency or level of the conversation.

DISASTER FROM THE START. I sent irraplacable documents by recorded, signed for delivery but they say they hadnt had them even though they were signed for by a member of thier staff! I asked for several call backs & didnt get one. I filled in documents online & the system checked them off as completed then I continual emails saying please complete the forms !!! I set up a standing order to pay them through the bank but TMW said your bank has stopped the payment. I went to the bank & they showed me the payment was ready but TMW hadnt claimed the money. Because of this I paid by credit card then had to start the process again. A TOTAL SHAMBLES & we are expected to use them to deal with hundreds of thousands of pounds of our money !!! update ...iwas contacted to say we will lok into this thats was months ago and still nothing !!

Great service. Super easy to book a slot for the meeting. Very easy to sort the paper work out and I got a good rate.

Neil Jacob was my advisor, he was great to deal with, friendly, and made getting a mortgage a breeze.

The agent of TMW was very helpful to log the relevant statements. He was quite apt and well versed with his professional knowledge.

Helpful staff, easy process.
