Very quick delivery and a quality product. Easy to install after reading the instructions, for once. Also wanted to change shelves heights and was easy to move. Very sturdy racking and a great finish.

Quality product.

The units are great, fiddly to put together but great now they are up. However the product options are all more expensive than is shown on the website, even the delivery on advert was £24.99 but on my Apple Pay came through at £29.99. Pricing is. It transparent but at every turn increases not insignificantly. I paid the extra for next day delivery and only part of the order arrived on time. During office hours no one answered the phone, I was sent straight to a voicemail service. So the products are good, albeit more expensive than is suggested and the customer service is poor

I ordered 3x shelving units and rubber mallet and pack of clips to join the units together. I received the shelving units very quickly but no mallet or clips I have tried to contact them but as of yet no reply. So check your order before accepting it when delivered.

Great product at a really good price. Very pleased with the shelves!

Four failed delivery dates, followed by another broken promise

I don't normally leave reviews like this, but unfortunately my experience with Tufferman was exceptionally frustrating.

I placed an order on Thursday 8 October specifically because next-day delivery was available, with delivery confirmed for Friday 9 October. We arranged for people to be on site to receive and assemble the racking.

Friday's delivery didn't happen. To be fair, Tufferman did contact us in advance and we were told deliveries were running around a day behind, so we rearranged everything for Monday.

Monday came and went with no delivery and no useful update. We waited all day. I tried repeatedly to contact Tufferman by telephone and couldn't get through. At one point I found that calls through the "existing customers" option were simply being disconnected after several rings, while the "new customers" option was actually answered. Emails weren't much better initially: I emailed on Monday morning and didn't receive a response until Tuesday. Tufferman subsequently acknowledged both the telephone problems and the delayed email response.

On Tuesday I was then told that a "system error" meant the order hadn't even been passed to their warehouse for processing. Delivery was rearranged for Thursday.

Thursday arrived, but again no delivery. The courier said the consignment had been delayed at the hub and that it would arrive on Friday. Tufferman themselves apologised, explaining that the courier had emailed them but the message hadn't been seen.

Then on Friday came yet another failure. Having spoken to Tufferman that morning, I was assured that delivery would take place on Saturday morning. That didn't happen either. The goods did eventually arrive on Saturday, but later than the morning delivery I had specifically been promised.

So an order placed on the basis of next-day delivery managed to *miss Friday, Monday, Thursday and Friday, followed by a specific promise of Saturday morning delivery that was also not met.*

The delays were bad enough, but the real frustration was the amount of effort required from me to find out what was happening. I completely accept that courier problems occur. What isn't acceptable is the combination of an internal processing error, repeated failed delivery dates, promises that weren't kept, poor communication and extreme difficulty getting through to customer services.

To Tufferman's credit, after considerable chasing they did refund the delivery charge and eventually offered a further 5% refund on the goods. That was appreciated and is the reason this isn't an entirely one-sided review.

But frankly, getting to that point felt like pulling teeth.

The racking itself may be perfectly good, but based purely on the ordering, delivery and customer service experience, I would find it very difficult to recommend Tufferman where delivery timing matters. Advertising next-day availability creates an expectation. Missing four successive delivery dates, then failing to meet a specifically agreed Saturday morning delivery, while leaving the customer repeatedly chasing for information, falls a very long way short of it.

Material of frame is too short. No a good design. No recommended.

Clear instructions, easy to assemble and sturdy on completion.

Quick delivery and very easy to assemble no bolts screws etc easy peasy assembly no headache and perfect for organising the chaos in garage

Good company, great service, very efficient.

First part of delivery arrived in good order but the second was delivered to wrong depot innitially and when it did arrive it had been damaged in transit.
Four of the eight horizontal supports had damaged ends which i had to straighten to make them fit.
These supports were very flimsy in their construction.The shelf material itself was also very thin and of poor quality and the ends had been damaged.
Finally the plastic feet are very difficult to fit onto the upright supports ie it took me over an hour to get them to fit.

It’s a simple purchase and it does all I want it to do.

Great product, just as described. Easy to install just needed wall plugs, a mullet for the wall plugs, screws , electric screwdriver, spirit level and pencil for marking the holes. Would recommend to others.

Amazing quality racks and swift delivery.

Order process was straightforward and delivery was as per forecast .’
The only slight problem was that I was unable to find where on the website to order spare shelves

Great products. Fast delivery. Easy to build once you have the hang of it. I built 4 units on my own. You do need to check what's in the package you're ordering, as it would be possible to miss out fixings, or buy a second item that is already included. It is all clearly stated on the website, but worth checking.
I had 2 separate orders. One delivery driver was really helpful and pleasant, the other was very rude, but delivery is outsourced.
