Late Collection, Slow Delivery — Avoid for Urgent Jobs

I use same-day carriers on a weekly basis. As part of our company protocol, I decided to trial a new platform to see if we could reduce costs — unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster.

The website advises allowing a two-hour collection window, which isn’t ideal but acceptable. The booked collection window was 11:31–13:31 with delivery marked as ASAP. However, the driver didn’t arrive until 14:31, already outside the stated window, and then took a further two hours to deliver the goods.

Had I used our regular same-day carrier, the parcel would have been collected within 30 minutes and delivered far quicker, especially as the journey would have been made during off-peak hours.

If this shipment had been urgent, the service would have failed entirely. Based on this experience, I would not rely on this platform for time-critical deliveries.

Registered over a week account temporarily deactivated

Registered over a week . Uploaded all relevant documents. Got emails saying

‘A member of our Operations team will review your submitted documents and be in touch to confirm we have everything we need before activating you on the platform’

Logged back in on the app after an hour or so and my account has been temporarily deactivated , No explanation given . Sent numerous emails have had no replay .

Dissatisfied and disappointed. Pathetic!!

The “temporarily deactivated” status you're seeing is actually a glitch in our system, one we’re actively working to fix as soon as possible. We understand how misleading it can be, and we appreciate your patience.

In reality, this status means you're in the final stage of the application process. We’ve received all your documents, and your account is currently pending final approval before activation.

We’ll also look into why you haven’t received a response to your enquiry - that’s not the experience we aim to deliver, and we’re grateful you flagged it.

Our team is working through applications as quickly as possible, with priority given to vehicles currently in highest demand, including LWB, XLWB, Luton vans, and 7.5-tonne trucks. We aim to have all applications approved in a timely manner.

Thanks again for your patience and interest in joining DeliveryApp. We hope to have you on the road with us very soon.

The job was accepted and then dropped…

The job was accepted for a collection time of 8am and then dropped at 7am by the driver 1 hour before the collection. The collection time was moved to between 8 and 11am but was actually collected close to 12pm.

Cheap, and works well for non time critical deliveries

The company started off very well, with 5-6 successful deliveries. DeliveryApp's costs are unmatched by any other haulage company. However, we then experienced issues: one driver was conducting other jobs while our urgent delivery was on board, and another delivery was delayed due to the driver citing personal issues, once again with our goods on board. Both incidents incurred additional costs for our company, as we had to have people stood on site waiting.
Up until these recent incidents, I would have recommended DeliveryApp. However, in light of these issues, we have decided to return to our former haulage company.
If you do not require time critical deliveries I would recommend, if your goods are required somewhere in a timely fashion, I would avoid.

Booked a job a week in advance

Booked a job a week in advance. Called to double check that everything is ok the day before and the worker said all is ok, there shouldn't be any issues. We had added in the details that we would prefer if the driver could take a passenger to which the DeliveryApp worker said is not going to be possible due to the insurance, which is fair enough.
On the morning of the booked move date, we get the news (2h before the driver is supposed to be here) that our job will not be able to get done since we had added a note about the passenger (which is something we discussed the day before already and we agreed we wouldn't drive in the car with the driver in order to honour their policy). The DeliveryApp team suggested we cancel this job and re-book it without mentioning the passengers, which we did. About 10min later, I receive a call from the DeliveryApp and the same worker is now telling me that the job can only be done if we book a White Glove service as otherwise the driver cannot enter the property. Mind you, this is happening now about 1.5h before the original booked moving slot that was booked a week ago.
Needless to say, we have cancelled the booking altogether and are now having to shift our own time around to find another moving company that can do the job last minute.
DeliveryApp has wasted our time, they seem unorganised and unreliable. With having booked the job a week in advance and suddenly having issues ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE is unacceptable. Will never use them again and will not suggest them to anybody! Their pricing may seem attractive, but it's a lesson learned - the cheapest is not always the best!

Good app for bigger citys

I set up an account to be a driver and heard nothing for more than a week. But now logged on. Plenty of jobs but none in my area as yet but still early days. Good app for bigger citys

Took me a month to set up the account…

Took me a month to set up the account with numerous issues nobody ever gets back to you leave you in the dark I've literally not had one job a complete waste of time and effort I've paid hundreds for extra insurances for nothing also you get a notification for a job then proceed to look as soon as you click on it another driver had had it rubbish system absolutely shocking.
