Very disappointing

Have received flowers from Appleyard on a number of occasions and have been really pleased with them but my daughter sent me the Lunar bouquet for Mother’s Day and one of the roses was brown and mouldy and detached from the stem while another was heading the same way. Within a day or so all the roses were starting to go brown and withering. Contacted Appleyard and eventually, after numerous emails back and forth, got a replacement sent. This was supposed to arrive the following day but was delayed by the carrier for a day. While the replacement certainly was in better condition on arrival, 3 days on the roses are starting to go the same way as before. I’ve never had problems keeping flowers before and carefully follow the instructions. Very disappointing and certainly couldn’t recommend.

Italian Dolomites Tour

Travelled on the Italian Dolomites tour with Newmarket and had a great experience. Stayed in the Ariston Hotel in Molveno. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner. The real star of the holiday was our guide Mariangela who was first class. Such a lovely lady, so knowledgeable with a real passion for the area. Interesting trips and not too long on the bus each day unlike some other Newmarket tours we have been on.

Enjoyable weekend in the Peak District

Spent a very enjoyable long weekend at an Original Cottages in the Peak District. Booking process was easy and great communication on the run up to our break. The Old Dairy was as described on the website, clean and well equipped. Would use Original Cottages again.

Poor attention to detail

Had 4 new tyres fitted at the Giffnock branch. All 4 had different pressures and were all over-inflated by a considerable amount. The white substance used around the rim has ended up on the alloys in places. The premises were extremely busy and apparently understaffed the day I was in but I would have expected a bit more care to have been taken especially with the pressures since on their own website Kwik Fit point out that the most important factor in maintaining the right tyre pressure is safety! My car has sensors which tell you the tyre pressures otherwise I would have been driving around on tyres that were over-inflated by at least 20% presuming that the fitters knew what they were doing and doing it properly.
On a positive note, the manager was friendly and helpful.

Pleased with price and service

First time we had used Toolstation and very pleased with both the service and price we paid.
Female member of staff was very pleasant and helpful and even carried the heavy lawnmower to the car and put it in the boot for us.
Would use Toolstation again.

Great holiday

This was our first holiday with Jet2 although we had flown with them before and we were very pleased with the whole experience. Online booking was straightforward and easy. We were kept updated with possible delays due to strike action and their communications were first class.
Transfers to and from the airport in Madeira were well organised and the staff at the airport were friendly and helpful.
The hotel was centrally located. The rooms were a good size with a separate sitting area and were very clean. Facilities were very good. We were only B&B but the breakfast choice was excellent with cereals, fruit, yogurts, cold meats, breads and pastries, and the usual cooked breakfast items.
We were pleasantly surprised by the standards of Jet2 holidays and would definitely travel with them again.

When £5 is only worth £1.60

Ordered 2 items on Click and Collect and used a £5 ‘Highfive’ reward as part payment. The reward was valid for use with any purchase with the usual exceptions of gift cards etc. Unfortunately I had to return one of the items which was far too big despite ordering my usual size. When I received my refund I found that the £5 discount had been split proportionally between the two items and instead of getting a refund of £49 I only got £45.40 meaning that my £5 was actually only worth £1.60. Had I only ordered the one item I kept then I would have got the full £5 value. Seems a bit of a con by John Lewis.

As the voucher is split between the number of items on your order the system will not put this towards one specific product which will change your refund. Very pleased with this company

Had been having difficulty purchasing the espresso Tassimo Pods and found them online at Kaffekapslen. Not only were they cheaper than I could buy them in the UK but they were in packs of 16 rather than the 14 on sale here. I was kept well informed about the delivery and was pleased to find that it was considerably quicker than what I expected. Will definitely use this company again.

Windscreen repair plus a parking fine

Used the Autoglass located within the car park of Morrison’s Paisley. The process of booking the repair was easy but availability throughout the Glasgow area was poor with some locations showing no appointments for 4 weeks.Service was good and happy with this repair. However, when trying to remove the interior rear view mirror, the technician found that it had been previous damaged when the windscreen had been replaced before (also by Autoglass!!!) and then stuck on with glue which meant that it couldn’t be fixed to the new windscreen so i’ve had to buy a stick on one.
The only access to this Autoglass is via the Morrison’s car park entrance and there is a limit of 2 hours parking. I’ve now been hit with £100 parking fine for overstaying! Definitely NOT happy with that and won’t be using that Autoglass branch again.
Have contacted the Autoglass complaints team but so far there’s been no response.

Devised by a lunatic!

What a faff! Who do Waitrose think they are kidding with their new rewards program? It is the most un-user friendly system of any supermarket which must have been devised by someone who has never shopped in a supermarket. Other places manage to load offers onto loyalty cards so all you need to do is swipe the card whereas in Waitrose you need to swipe your card and then swipe the barcode on your smartphone for each item. Time consuming and inconvenient. There’s no incentive for me to shop at Waitrose any more so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Wide choice of products with good…

Wide choice of products with good reductions in the sale and then an extra 10% off so very pleased with my purchase. Easy ordering and prompt delivery although at £4.99 I did think delivery was a bit expensive.

Poor experience

Item ordered on 3rd December finally arrived on 31st December. Just a well I had already bought another Christmas gift for the proposed recipient as the cellophane wrapping had a huge sticky barcode label on the back and there had obviously been a couple on the front which had been partially removed leaving a real mess - definitely not suitable to gift to anyone. Suspect the item is now reduced and these were Sale labels. All in all a very poor experience with The White Company.

Absolutely useless

First parcel from The White Company seems to have got lost in Hermes depot although this is only supposition as, according to updates on 8th December, they were going to deliver it the next working day. No further updates from Hermes. Got a replacement sent but it hasn't arrived on the given delivery date. Why am I not surprised? Why any Company uses Hermes for delivery escapes me - they are the worst delivery service out there. One star is being generous!
