MY PARCEL IS STUCK AT CUSTOMS DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE
The commercial invoice was written in GBP instead of ZAR( South African Rands) and that has resulted in my parcel not being cleared at the customs. The GBP written on the commercial invoice is worth more than the amount that I’m supposed to import into the country as an individual.
I have sent 2 e-mails and inboxed them on instagram explaining my predicament but no one is attending to my query.
In the meantime my parcel is stuck at customs and will start incurring penalties soon in the warehouse.
I’m really disappointed.

After several back and forth communication between Android Homme and DHL everything was sorted and I finally received my order on the 11th of September.
And all the appreciation goes to Timothy Lancaster for keeping on updating me and doing follow ups with DHL . Thanks a lot .

Thanks so much for the review, we do really appreciate the feedback.
I am so sorry to hear this has happened, this is not what we expect for our customers. I can see there was a technical error when this order was shipped from us meaning the commercial invoice didnt convert the correct amount of the order leading to the issue with duties and taxes needing to be paid for the order to be released however, the order was shipped from us with DHL confirming that the duties and taxes were covered by ourselves.
This should have never happened due to this already being covered by ourselves, therefore this has now been resolved with DHL and the parcel should still be delivered to you if this has not already.
I am again so sorry this happened.

Black Marks
I love Android Homme trainers. I have 5 pairs. They look great for every occasion.
However…..I recently contacted the company via their UK customer service portal on their web page. Response was quick but sadly the customer service agent didn’t seem to understand the reason why I was contacting them.
I purchased a white pair of trainers in November 2023. They were purchased for this summer 2024. I’ve worn them approx 10 times.
I’ve noticed black marks on the trainers which have clearly come from the black sole. I recently purchased a grey suede pair of trainers and have found a similar problem.
I’ve asked Android Homme to look into this as it spoils the look of the trainers. I’ve asked if it’s s batch or process problem. Possibly a raw material problem. Which would impact the manufacture of the trainers.
The Android Homme representative just keeps telling me because I purchased the trainers in Nov they are out of their 6 month warranty and there’s nothing they can do. I asked about my most recent pair and she said to go back to the retailer.
I have pointed out numerous times. I’m not looking for a refund nor do I want an exchange. I simply want them to look into a possible fault in the manufacture process. I have asked her to escalate my concerns. She has told me it’s pointless as whoever she escalates to will just say the same.
This is very frustrating. Android Homme are a premium brand trainer. They cost far more than the average trainer.
I expect better customer service from a premium brand. This has left me questioning whether I continue to buy from them going forward.
Footnote to my review: Shortly after posting my review I was contacted by a Director at the Agency that helps run the Brands operations.
We had a number of email and telephone conversations, all have been very cordial and above all very productive and professional. They also liaised with the Customer Service team ensuring a satisfactory follow up to my initial queries and communication.
I said at the very outset that I love Android Homme trainers. I love them more after the experience I’ve had. Although it was slightly negative to start with, it was followed up and resolved which is all you can ask for.
Would I recommend Android Homme. Yes, in a heartbeat.

Leo Carrillo - love them but black marks
Ordered from Android Homme for the first time, and got the Leo Carrillo trainers which I loved online and when I received them, loved them even more, they arrived super quick and fit perfectly (ordered my usual size). The only reason this isn't a 5* star review is because I noticed some small black marks around the sides of them, which I can't remove (you don't notice them when they are on).
All in all, I'd order again and I'm happy with them!
