Sturdy, but attractive basket, in the style of the original Bobbin bike. Note no Bobbin front baskets available but think this is a better alternative

Bike is beautiful - as described. It’s light, easy to put together and a dream to ride.

Ordered a bobbin bike, arrived quickly and in good order. The instructions for putting it together were poor mainly due to poor quality photos so we used a mixture of the booklet and different online instructions we found. Great value for money, had a couple of paint scuffs on the frame and some of the paint work is not the best. It comes with paint touch up so I was able to get rid of the minor scuffs and you can’t see them now. For the money great value and it’s a nice ride and looks great.

It was easy to identify the right sized bike for a small child. It was delivered within a couple of days of ordering, easily assembled, well made and is a great looking bike. My niece loves it!

She wanted a vintage-looking bike, but I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere if you can. The problems I had:

First, the tires were made of a plasticky rubber compound that seriously compromised the ride. It was like riding on a pair of deflated balloons, so I had to pay more to upgrade those. When I swapped the tires, the ride improved considerably! But fitting them on those somewhat odd rims was a nightmare (they don’t seem standard rims!) I used enough dishwasher soap to clean a small army’s dishes, and it took a long afternoon to get them on. Not to mention the feeling of having to cash in for tires on a newly bought bike - shame!

Then there was the SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE: a pedal fell off the crank after maybe 10 rides in total!!!! It damaged the thread in the crank, and the pedal making it unusable. The crank is soft aluminium, and the pedal is hardened steel. With minimal misalignment, it probably loosens up and caused the damage. I can’t explain how this could have happened without an original defect. Not to mention the risk of injury here. Worth saying, managed to use the bike on 10 rides or so, 1.5 miles, school and back, very light user. Disappointing!

One more thing: the bike is heavy and sluggish. It makes a big difference, especially if you require several stop-and-go moments on your journey, and if you have some hills. Generally, if you require a bit of agility on your bike - it is a joy to ride a lighter bike once you try one! Look elsewhere my advice.

I will give their customer service some credit for their response time; prompt and kind, but not customer-oriented, just nice words. When I raised my pedal and crank issue, for me, it was no question it required attention as something went completely wrong with it. You don’t expect this to happen in the lifetime of a bike! Mind you, this was not wear and tear, it’s a foundational, absolutely critical component of your bike. I believe we had the bike for 8-9 months, stating we only had limited use. And they said it was out of the 6-month warranty. When you see this effort going into their bobbin branding and whatnot, while they completely miss listening and understanding the serious nature of the issue that could have caused serious user injury, you understand their priorities are different. I was given the lame “this is our policy” answer! Just not good enough!

They took care to tell me that they don’t have the crank in stock and advised I go to my local bike shop! Thank you very much bobbin [sarcasm].

Final advice - stay away if you can. A second hand bike for the same money will serve you much much better. Of course, if you want the looks, like we did, be prepared for a bumpy and costly ride, literally!

I bought a Bobbin Bike for my toddler's birthday ahead of time due to grandparents wanting to choose it.
I thought I was buying a lovely quality solid product - I was very wrong.
We assembled the bike a few weeks ago - the frame had a few scratches (looks like it was already used) but we let that go.
Unfortunately - after only 10 mins on the bike (my toddler's first ride) - the back wheel completely seized up and the front wheel is barely moving!
The customer support are saying the 12 month warranty is only for the frame - and as issues were not reported straight after delivery they will not honour anything.
This bike cost as much as an adults bike elsewhere - the quality is shocking! I have never seen a bike wheel seize up within 10 mins of it being used.
We are now stuck with an expensive bike, a disappointed toddler and having to spend more money to have it fixed elsewhere.
I would not recommend Bobbin Bikes and will never be shopping there again!

My bike arrived with the rear wheel and mudguard already fitted, but the mudguard had been assembled incorrectly and rubbed against the wheel so badly that the bike was not usable.

I reported the fault immediately, but customer service has failed to resolve the issue. When I requested a return because the bike arrived faulty, I was told I would have to pay the return costs myself.

A faulty product, poor after-sales support, and no willingness to stand behind their own assembly work. Very disappointing.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BOBBIN BIKES. Their bikes are nice enough but the customer services department is worse than terrible. I returned a bike basket which they received on April 29th 2026. FIVE WEEKS LATER I am still waiting for my refund. Two weeks ago they told me it would be refunded by today. Today they seem to know nothing about it. I am contacting my credit card company and reporting them this afternoon. P.S. Please take no notice of the reply below. It is the same reply as I have been sent at least four times and bears no relation to any action that the company has taken or intends to take. It might appear polite but is totally irrelevant and doesn't mean anything.
