I purchased a children’s bike from Bobbin in November 2025. It was used approximately five times before the front wheel bearing failed - a critical component.
I contacted Bobbin expecting a repair or replacement. Instead, my claim was dismissed as “wear and tear,” despite the extremely limited use and without any inspection or technical assessment of the bike.
I am still within 6 months of purchase, where faults are presumed to have been present at the time of supply unless the retailer can demonstrate otherwise. In this case, no such evidence has been provided, yet no remedy has been offered.
I was also told that the absence of earlier contact suggested the fault was not present at the time of purchase, which is not a convincing or evidence-based conclusion.
I sought advice from a local bike shop, who confirmed that a bearing failing after such minimal use is not consistent with normal wear and tear.
Overall, the issue has not been properly assessed, and my statutory rights have not been recognised in practice.
A product failing after a handful of uses should not be treated as normal, and I would expect far better from a company selling children’s bikes.
Based on this experience, I would not purchase from Bobbin again.

I'll start by saying that this is a good bike and it looks nice and it's really well put together, I think, but the quality and finish are just not great.

After under a year of it being stored in our garage with 7 other bikes (yes we have quite a lot of bikes), our Bobbins is the only one that's now covered in rust. There's rust on all the bolts, there's rust on the pedals, and there's even rust on the paintwork. That's been next to a 15-year-old Trek bike, a temple bike that's steel, and 3 from Halfords, and this is the only one that's rusted. Unfortunately this was the most expensive kids' bike in our garage.

Looks great but if you're going to buy it, make sure you invest in paint and oil because you'll need to do a lot of maintenance. When I contacted the support they said this is normal. If you're happy to take a little bit of rust, definitely buy this bike. If not then maybe consider another option just like us that has a better finish or has been properly manufactured to withstand a little bit of rust.

I’ve tried to contact this company twice regarding a pedal fault on a bike we bought from them a few months ago and have only just started using the bike. The only way to reach them is via an online form. It’s been day 4 now and still no response? My wife and I were due to go away this weekend and take our bikes with us but unfortunately the bike I bought my wife from Bobbins is out of action due to a pedal fault. Not a great service

I really wished I had read the reviews on Trustpilot before placing my order.
The purchase is a first bike for my Granddaughter and we were so disappointed to notice a dent and paintwork damage on the rear mud guard. This was only noticed after almost completing the build as the guard was wrapped in packaging.
Trying to contact customer service is impossible. The only choice you have is completing an online form. I tried the online chat and after an hour received a response telling me to complete the online form.
I will raise a claim through my credit card company for faulty goods.
This is not acceptable!

DO NOT BUY!! I wish I opened Trustpilot before ordering this bike….

- Extremely heavy
- Poor quality parts for the price
- Colour represented inadequately on the website
- Awful return process and customer service - no return label for what is an almost 10kg(!!!) package for a toddler bike and a 10% “restocking fee” whatever that means - i.e. you’re never getting your money back.

Great product, sturdy and it is really well designed

I needed a part for my daughter’s bike and they sent exactly what I needed in a timely manner.

My daughter has had two Bobbin bikes and both have been perfect.

Bought a bike for my granddaughter in France. After a fall the brake lever snapped. Sadly the customer service and parts available are so very poor. I emailed back in September and explained asking for a spare as was travelling over in November. Despite constantly chasing and being told they would be in soon the have never arrived. Last I was told they would be in late Jan or Feb….. again I had to chase and just got not in but buy one elsewhere!! Market themselves as family business caring about customers….not in my opinion.

Customer service is responsive, and it does look nice, but that’s where the positives end. The product is heavy, poorly made, and full of cheap components. After a few months, the rear brake broke, the front basket snapped under very little weight, and the bell is too stiff for a 3-year-old. For the price, a six-month warranty is far too short. You’d be better off with a cheaper alternative that will last longer and save you money.

Hello! My niece is SO SO SO HAPPY with her new bicycle! It’s her first one so it had to be super special and believe me it exceeded any expectations! It’s a lovely cherry color bike, perfect for the pop of color and cheer up the UK cloudy skies. Also, to spot her faster with a bright yet very stylish and elegant red shade. It arrived incredibly fast. We all are excited looking at my niece having a great time with it. We got it for her 3 years old celebration 🎉
