I was looking for a special engagement ring with a certain theme, however looking online there wasn't too many options.
After some searching for custom rings i saw an ad for Durham Rose and at first I didn't want to go through the hassle of enquiring then a call etc. but the whole process was incredibly easy from filling in one form, to one quick call and then it was into design and build.
Luckily, Elinor who was the Design Consultant for the ring was a huge help in giving ideas for the ring as I only had a general idea. She helped make the ring look great whilst also being to the theme i had in mind.
Overall it was super easy and the finished product was incredible, we couldn't be happier!

I had the very best experience with Durham Rose. Melissa was very kind and patient guiding me through the whole process of designing a ring for me. I kept going backwards and forwards with different ideas and I couldn’t have asked for more help than Melissa gave. The whole experience of working with Elinor at Durham Rose was perfect from start to finish. I can imagine we were not very easy customers, we kept going backward and forward in my ideas, asking to see a variation of designs and couldn't always chose what what wanted straight away. Elinor was so patient with us whilst we were finalising our design. My thought process was that for my partners engagement ring, if she was going to wear it for the rest of her life, it needed to be perfect. Elinor made perfection happen with ease. The engagement ring and wedding ring were even more beautiful than we could have imagined. A big big thank you to Elinor for holding our hands through this process, making us feel at ease and safe with Durham Rose.

Wow. The process they take you through is absolutely amazing, the little details you can choose allow you to make your ring just the way you dreamed! I could not of had a better experience. I knew nothing about rings and diamonds or stones but they are so patient and provide you with so much knowledge I now feel like I know what I’m talking about! I had Elinor as a designer and she was just phenomenal! Her skills, professionalism, patience, knowledge and guidance made the experience for me! I cannot wait to design the wedding band, as when the ring arrived in person I was blown away.

My husband recently gave me my 2nd Durham Rose ring. The first was for our vow renewal in 2017 on hubby’s 50th birthday in the Maldives with our best friends by our side and our parents & friends watching via Facebook live. I didn’t see the ring before hand and I was amazed by the 12 paw prints and diamond design. It was made all the more special because our first rescue dog passed away 2 weeks before at the age of 16 1/2.
My 2nd ring has the most amazing detail of my dogs face, nose to nose with a little diamond collar. As a young woman (many years ago lol) one of my wish list items that I hoped to one day be lucky enough to own was a single diamond that had a stone that was 1ct in weight, so the night before our wedding anniversary he asked me what I’d always wanted.....

From start to finish Elinor was fantastic, she turned my ideas and thoughts into the most beautiful ring. She was extremely knowledgeable, understanding and creative and the final ring was everything and more than I ever dreamed of. Great experience from start to finish designing my Fiancee's engagement ring.
We did it all virtually due to Covid restrictions and we are very happy with the results.

Without a doubt they are the most dedicated, friendly, hard working and committed business my husband and I have ever worked with.
It started with my beautiful engagement ring which then took us to our wedding rings to match and finally the eternity ring we received at Christmas time. The team always ensure that your wishes are brought to life by fulfilling every expectation you have. Everything we ordered was bespoke, from filigree, stone placements, stone choice, engraving, complimentary cleaning and buffing!

It’s a rare thing that one might feel compelled to do.

Exceptional, understanding, satisfying, reassuring, cool, calm and collected, throughout. Some of many more words I would use to describe my experience with Durham Rose but more importantly - Gemma Burnett and her unwavering style of customer service being one of the most fluid and easy of retail (in general) experiences that arguably are, second to none.

Thank you for all your guidance and for playing a supporting role (I’d nominate you for an Oscar) in the deliverance of, exactly the ring, I’d hoped for.

Excellent process, product and service. I was working with Gemma Burnett to design my ring and she was very professional and great to work with. The design process was easy (one video call) and gave me exactly what I needed. I was also given multiple options to help maintain my budget. the ring needed to be resized which again was easy to do with no overly complicated processes (even during a pandemic). There were some time delays due to COVID (obviously not their fault), especially for the picture booklet and getting resizing, but was kept updated and any emails I sent were responded to extremely quickly.
No complaints at all and would recommend to anyone wanting a bespoke ring.

Fantastic experience throughout! Melissa was so friendly, helpful and informative - fully guiding me through the whole process and helping to create a stunning ring (which my partner loved!). The initial design session was brilliant and it was incredible to be able to see the idea brought to life so quickly. Receiving the very accurate estimated cost, with varying options included was great as it allows you to easily see the breakdown of every part of the ring. The ring turned out even better than I could have imagined and I can't recommend Durham Rose highly enough. To top it all off, the ring was produced during the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions which proves their high level of service and commitment to providing you with the best possible service.

I worked with Melissa Vass to design my engagement and wedding band set. She was incredibly helpful, helping stay within my budget while still helping me make the rings I wanted. I wanted a natural emerald as the center stone, and she was incredibly informative and had several options. When the initial options were a bit out of my price range, she sourced some additional stones that helped me stay within my budget, but still looks amazing as the centerpiece. I really appreciated this, as another company I spoke with told me my ring would not be possible in my price range, and would cost double our budget. Melissa showed we could make it happen and not compromise on quality. I have received non-stop compliments on the design and the stones, and am incredibly pleased with how the two rings look together.

Despite this all occurring during the height of the lockdown, Melissa was very responsive and helpful, keeping things moving and arranging for me and my fiancee to pick up the rings. While not the usual pickup, the director Manu went to one of their offices so we could pickup in person and explained all of the details of the rings quality being certified, and was very polite and seemed genuinely excited and interested in our engagement. The entire process went smoothly, and we loved the presentation. Should we ever want to have another ring made, or know anyone who wants a ring made, we would 100% recommend Durham Rose for their professionalism, expediency, and quality.

This is a replacement engagement ring that I had the pleasure of designing with Manu Bhardwaj at Durham Rose.

My partner who overhead almost every (of many) conversations I had with Manu whilst creating the most precious thing I now own asked, 'how comes I didn't receive this kind of service' when he bought my original engagement ring. I cannot stress how great the level of customer service I received and all the credit belongs to Manu.

I was at a loss as to whether I wanted to recreate the same ring or something else entirely. Too much choice overwhelmed me and was too scared to commit to a decision but Manu patiently got to know myself, my style and all my wants through the many phone calls he had with me. He talked me through everything I need to know about diamonds and rings to make the most informed decisions. I am at a loss of words to describe how much knowledge this man holds about the sector he is in and not in a snobby way either.

Through friendly chats about more than just rings, he identified everything I could want in a ring and assisted me in designing what is now a stunning piece with many aspects identical to my original ring but also with my own stamp on it.

Understanding how pricing works was important to me being an accountant and especially when it's got more than average day (month/year) price tag. Manu was kind enough to walk me through the complicated world of precious rocks and helped me pick something that would get me best for our budget whilst never losing out on quality.

In conclusion, I would recommend Durham Rose and Manu for any timeless piece you want to create. I was never rushed to make decisions and I was possibly difficult to work with not being decisive but Manu being the perfectionist that he is, gave me exactly what I didn't know I always wanted.

What can I say about Durham Rose? Me and my fiancée Sarah worked with Elinor to create our dream engagement ring. Everything about the service from the initial consultation to the final ring itself was exceptional. No matter what vision you have in mind Durham Rose can make it a reality. There is no detail too small, Elinor was so wonderful to work with. She was incredibly helpful and really listened to our ideas to make them a reality. Elinor worked with us step-by-step to design numerous versions of the ring and produced digital renderings in order to help us to visualise the final product, leaving us feeling very confident. Once the final design was confirmed, we were sent regular production updates and real-time completion estimates. The ring was made beautifully and to time, even in the challenging conditions of COVID-19. For an extremely fair price, we received our dream ring that surpassed both our expectations. I personally found Durham Rose through months of searching for the perfect ring for my fiancee. I found it very difficult to find a design that I liked since my fiancee prefers a thicker and more simply styled engagement ring, compared to most solitaire rings I found.

From the start, Elinor was incredibly thorough and helpful with guiding me in the process of designing the ring exactly how I wanted it to be. By being able to design the ring myself I could also decide where I wanted to spend most of my money in and where to spend less, regarding stone choices or types of metal. I can't recommend this place enough for everyone who wants to commit to their partner by making a lovely ring for them. I am beyond happy with the results and it is so special to me to have been able to design my soon-to-be wife's engagement ring.

Where to start, it’s difficult to put into words how excellent the customer service, design process, price and most importantly the ring are.

I struggled to find the perfect ring at the right price so decided to get in touch with Durham Rose. As soon as I had my first conversation with Melissa I never looked anywhere else. During our design consultation Melissa managed to design exactly what I pictured in my head, and sourced a diamond exactly to my specification.

Once we had finalised the design, and the manufacturing process began, Melissa kept in regular contact with updates and was quick to reply to any queries I had. As the COVID lockdown was implemented, Melissa was very helpful in providing regular updates on the revised deliver forecast, and Durham Rose’s excellent team managed to get the ring completed with minimal delay.

The final product is stunning, better than anything I have seen anywhere else, and most importantly, it’s unique.

Poor Service, they take an increadibly long time to get back to you or not even reply to emails. They just dont seem bothered and show lack of interest in making your wedding rings special. They have had people leave the company and dont even look at their previous work. Not very professional at all. Maybe I will change this review if they actually show some care to their customers.
