M1 has the most appalling service.
Was informed by Nex M1 on 27/02/26 that cancellation of broadband can only be via call in on weekdays office hours. Called on 02/03/26 (Mon) to request for cancellation of all services. They billed me $100.19 for the entire month March with ancillaries billing when my normal monthly subscription was $30.45.
When I called in to dispute, the very rude officer just keep reiterating that I should look at the bill. She was not even listening. She is not any better than the AI answering mobile.
I should not be bearing these unfair charges imposed unilaterally when I had already asked for cancellations on 02/03/26.
There was no follow up calls. subsequently. Today, I received 5 demand notice emails from M1 informing me that this is a final notice before the matter will be taken up by their lawyers and a further collection fee of $54.50 if payment is not made.
I have been a loyal customer of M1 for over 2 decades. This is most disappointing that M1 does not value their long term clients and service has been on a downhill spiral for years

This makes no sense. If I was really “using” roaming, why only charge me on random days and not the full trip? Clearly something is wrong with how their system auto-triggers charges.

The customer service officer Emmerson Mok serves me well (M1 Store Bugis Outlet). He can explain contract details clearly on broadband contract matters & his customer service ettiquette was brilliant. 5 star for him. Kudos⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Be careful of offers from M1
M1 sent an offer to re contract with S$4 off per month for 12 months on my SIM only plan. Sounds good right but beware, it is not a re contract but a new plan. My old plan has 8 gigs ASEAN and 2 gigs ASIA roaming but once I took the offer these were removed and now I’ll need to purchase these when I travel. There were no pop up messages informing that any privileges would be gone if you acceot. Called their hotline to see if I can revert to my old plan and not take this “offer” which was worse. Was told as mine was SIM only plan once accepted too bad. So be careful when you get this M1 ‘offer’,
Roaming SIM card without roaming service
This is a roaming SIM card. 3 days after buying and using (out of 30 days), the suspended my service without announcement and then text me to verify my ID… by downloading the app (to then tell me only possible for Singaporean), the to call them (number only working in Singapore) while no chat service for prepaid…being in a small island in Malaysia, I had to buy a telephone service to join their client service. Me is to go back to Singapore to redo a picture of my ID… no other way… they sell timing card but have no way to offer service other than through sellers in Singapore… they refused to pay me back. They only offer one way to do which is impossible to comply with. Very poor service for a Telecom company that argue to be good at roaming. AVOID AVOID AVOID or you risk to loose your money like me! Best client service to say I am sorry and I apologize but to do not do anything about it!!!

Today I visited M One @ Causeway Point to find out my current plan . I am pleased to be served by Mr Calvin Chee . He is very patient and service-oriented towards my enquiry on the mobile plan and new phone ( IPhone 17 ) which I am intended to change .
Overall experience with Mr Calvin Chee is great .

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. 6 months still sleeping and the customer service informed that their technical team is aware that the network is poor at the area's i mentioned. But when i took the phone sign up they did not mention poor coverage. They also advertised fast 5G network. But their phone line network is bad no signal let alone their Horrible 5G Data plan. Now if i want to terminate my phone after 7 months they are saying i have to pay $280 for the pnone discount and the balance of the phone. I am ok with the balance. When.i took the line M1 said i am on flexi so i can terminate my line and pay the balance of the phone installment in 1 year thats all. No mentioned about discount pay back. This is a kind of scamming the customers.
You are forced to continue the services. So they know they have a network problem in many areas so why are they not doing anything about it? Isn't providing proper network part of their contract obligations? If M1 breach their contract and dont follow customer reports seriously and honor their contract why must customers agree to their contract. Please share and inform friends and family not to sign up for M1 service. They can't give a dam about service. And you cant get a local M1 staff to talk to about their poor services. Probably the SG management is shy and hiding their face in the toilet thats why we can't reach them? Or they assume they linked to GIC so they are untouchable and we dont give S it to the Singapore customers. M1 is above the law attitude. SHAME ON YOU M1 for being a SG registered company. You bring down our Singaporean reputation. M1 please stop your false advertisements of faster 5G network coverage in Singapore. If you can't deliver on the promise then you have to reduce the monthly subscription to show you are sincere in addressing your service problem. M1 FoneCare+ is an outright scam
M1 FoneCare+ is an outright scam. Do not be misled by the name — it is NOT phone insurance. If you value your money, buy an extended warranty directly from Samsung instead. FoneCare+ does not protect your phone; it only covers the contract, which is completely misleading. Worse still, M1 can terminate the service at their own discretion without informing subscribers. I paid for almost two full years, and when I finally needed to make a claim, I was told it had already been terminated. Absolute waste of money and a blatant cash grab

M1 refuses to let customers port out mobile number
I am trying to port out my mobile number from M1 to Zero1. Zero1 contacted me saying that M1 did not approve the port out in time, thus my porting process failed. i see many complained about M1 refusing to let users port out. Damn shameless! If M1's service is good, why would the customers want to port out? And IMDA has guideline that it is mandatory for service provider to process port out for customers when request is sent to them. When I contacted M1 via live chat, the agent claimed that they did not receive any request for my number to be ported out. Ya right! In this case, who do you think is lying, the losing service provider or the new service provider? I can do without this number. So, M1, even with this trick of yours, I am leaving you for good!
