Used to watch mostly Philo

Used to watch mostly Philo, but lately I'm really getting fed up with watching 10 minutes of a show to then wait through 4 or 5 minutes of commercials. This is constant throughout the shows. Pretty ridiculous. Paramount and HBO have a lot less commercials.

This app has everything I need

This app has everything I need. I am tired of being scammed by Spectrum and Sling. For $33 a month I get more programming than with either of the other two. Cut the cord and get Philo.

We signed up in Sept 2020 a a legacy…

We signed up in Sept 2020 a a legacy account which stated as long as we kept the account our price would be $19.99/Month. I feel this is a breach of the agreement that was offered and we agreed too. They are now billing us $25/Month provided we switched to a different Billing, if not it was going to be $29.99/Month

I have been with Philo for years

I have been with Philo for years. The price keeps going up up up and every commercial is in Spanish or a different language. I counted out of seven commercials only one in English now I’m paying $34 a month for it to freeze up watch commercials I don’t understand so I will be canceling you are warned.

So many ads!

Tried to watch a movie, so many ads! No, I will never pay for the service. If you’re trying to lure me in with a cheesy movie as part of your offering, the least you can do is let it play for more than 15 seconds at the end of the movie without doing another set of ads. And the same ads regurgitated over and over and over again. I didn’t even finish the movie I couldn’t take it anymore.

Terrible Service

This provider is 100% shady. Wish I would have read reviews on this service before I donated $34.00. The reason they stopped the free trial, is no one subscribed because of such crap service. You can watch most of the channels for free.

I had to give it a star just to post my review but I wouldn’t even give it a one star. I didn’t even have it 24 hours. I couldn’t watch ANYTHING on any of my smart TVs without it wanting to buffer and stop every few minutes. Called the customer service to see what the issue was they told me to check my internet connection 😑 yea I did that and can watch Netflix just fine. They began to tell me that if it didn’t have the “fastest” internet connection I would probably continue to have issues. (BTW I have the top of the line internet available) so I told them there is no way I’m dealing with this the whole time I have it. They began to tell me that I should just watch it on my cellphone as there hasn’t been much complaints while using a cellphone 😳. I then said I watch to watch tv on a tv not a small screen she then began to tell me there was NOTHING she could do as my internet isn’t a high enough grade for their “high end” platform. Needless to say at the end of the conversation I told them end my subscription I’ll keep my low end YouTube and Netflix 🤷‍♀️ waste of money if you have to watch it on your cellphone when there are free apps for that 😒. REAL RATING AS NO STARS! Horrible customer service and terrible service in general!

Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Tried the free trial with the hopes of using the service. I figured some movies were in their collection, but no, it’s just like cable where you can only watch things during their designated time slots. The movie I wanted to watch wasn’t available for over a week. I decided to watch something else and the ADS ADDED 42 MINUTES TO A 2 HOUR MOVIE. that is just insane. Immediately I canceled and didn’t even make it past 20 minutes and 10 minutes of ads. Horrible service.

They have almost an hour worth of…

They have almost an hour worth of commercials for two hour movie. Is literally the worst movie watching experience I’ve ever had. I’m only judging the company on that. I’m not judging the quality of their choices of movies to watch. It seems to be great. Even though I will not be able to watch the movies I want that they have I cannot endure in our commercials every 10 minutes.

I started a free trial

I started a free trial, there are SO MANY ADS, so many, so often, its not worth it to disrupt your viewing so often! I've read reviews and im scared they are going to charge me even though im canceling my free subscription, should have read reviews before I started the trial, honestly, the amount of ads ive seen during a movie is extremely ridiculous and more than ive ever encountered!

Philo scores big on price and…

Philo scores big on price and reliability and customer service. Philo falls short on allowing customers to have targeted ads. On some of the channels its nearly constant horror movie ads some of them very disturbing and they do not offer an ad free option. I had to cancel my subscription due to the these disturbing ads.
