I got the 7 day free trial started watching Tyler Perry house of pain season 14 and was enjoying it and when I went back to watch the rest they completely removed season 14 and left the rest very disappointed in their service I feel if they don’t want to give out free trials so you can see the episodes you want then don’t offer free trials at all if I could rate them with a zero I would

Over 6 months and no issues fixed and more occuring
I have been trying for over 6 months to get issues resolved to no avail. I was told there was a problem with Roku updates not working right with Philo and they'd let me know when things were fixed. If you get escalated to tier 2 you MIGHT get help but at least usually get answers and since this came from Tier 2, I believe them.
A few weeks ago, more problems, so went back to tech support and was basically told they weren't having any problems it was me or my equipment. I kept telling them I'd done everything a zillion times to no avail. They actually want me to uninstall/reinstall the Philo app every time a problem occurs believe it or not!!! It takes days to weeks to get a response even with an ongoing conversation. Well, the latest is they want me to SCREEN SHOT the issues I'm having. I don't know if you can screenshot from a smart TV but I don't have one. Obviously I'm crazy and not to be believed. I actually did manage to get a somewhat clear pic on my phone of one issue but of course, dead silence. But how can you screenshot things like the guide not updating etc?
So, on Friday, I get an email from the issues from 6 months ago saying everything was fixed. I did what the email instructed and guess what? NOT A SINGLE THING WAS ANY BETTER!!! Of course, dead silence.
I also complained about what I considered sexually explicit previews on shows they were pushing. They actually want me to provide dates/times and the show. I get out of that screen ASAP. They want me to do their job obviously or just shut up and go away. NOTHING IS EVER THEIR FAULT OR THEIR RESPONSIBILITY!
I give up. I'm elderly and disabled (but my mind is still quite sharp and I'm not stupid like they want to insinuate). I am in a wheelchair so getting up 20 times a day to reboot Roku and my modem is asking a bit much as is uninstalling and reinstalling Philo every time (20 times a day?) I think a young healthy person would balk at those instructions!!! They are the idiots, not me. I am searching for something I can afford without getting ulcers trying to figure it out.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. If you’d like to pay slightly less than competitors for a lot less service I’d get them again.
Poor customer experience
I signed up for a free trial and decided not to keep the service. Thought I had cancelled it in time but still received a charge. I had not used the service past the free trial. When I asked for the refund they refused saying that they still have to pay for the content. I find it disappointing that they would have such poor customer service. $28 a month is wild!

This is the worst streaming service. They have a hidden no refund policy so even if you go one day outside the free trial period they charge you $28 with no question of a refund. Even if you don’t use the service at all. They are sick and predatory. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE EVER

When I first subscribed to Philo I was very happy with the low price compared to other services and with the wide selection of channels. I'm not big into sports or news so their lack of those channels didn't bother me. What did bother me was that at some point during my service they implemented the inability to fast forward through commericals even when you aren't watching in real time. When I called customer service to ask about this, I was basically told if I wanted to fast forward I needed to record the show. That seems like a strange workaround and in fact sometimes it wouldn't let me fast forward even when I had recorded a show. I ended up cancelling my service. I was also disappointed in my customer service contact. As is too typically with customer service, my representative seemed very uncaring about my problem.
I used to like Philo until….
When I signed up with Philo 5 years ago, I was promised that as long as I kept my membership in good standing, my rates would never increase. Because of that promise I kept up my membership even when I wasn’t watching much, then last month I get an email telling me that they’re raising my rates, but adding more features. I don’t want more features, I want what I was promised. So after five years I cancelled my account.
Just another greedy company that will lie to you just to get your money.

I been a Philo customer for a while…
I been a Philo customer for a while now. Lately they have one channel the won't play and been showing sex ads on channels. Also lately I been searching for good movies on roku and it's say coming to Philo on certain dates, when I click on it to take me to Philo it says you have to upgrade to watch which leaves the crappy movies on the regular Philo. I've also been calling for months to ad a classic channel where us older folks can watch the classics from the 30s, 40s and stuff. Most if the channels are for the bee bopper now of days. Crappy!!!!

I currently have Philo, and I am disgusted with this company. I have been trying to watch different shows on the Great American Faith & Family channel with no luck. After a few minutes of watching a show it will go to a commercial, and then at the end of the commercial it will freeze and buffer!!! I know someone else who is having the same issue with the same channel!!!! The jerks at Philo refuse to listen to a person when you tell them the problem is at their end and not your end, and they charge you for a service that isn’t working!!!!! Philo: Get your shit together!!!
Free Trial? Yeah Right
They reel you in with a "free trial" and then they immediately charge you $31...I've seen no free trial. Very misleading and a RIP OFF!!!! Not worth it...Philo? No, more like LIE-LO...what a disappointment!

This app is ridiculous. I was IN THE MIDDLE of an episode and it shut off and now won't let me watch it because it's recording it. Contacted Philo and they were useless. And they charge 32 bucks a month for this crap. Hard pass. Rather pay per episode on a reputable and functional app.

I signed up for Philo, then canceled the next day, needless to say they took the $28.00 out of my account immediately, but will not get a refund as they don't have a refund policy. So I guess they just pocket that $28.00. I think the customer service for refunding

Philo are scammers, don’t trust them
Philo are scammers. For some reason I had a duplicate account (unclear how that happened), and when I canceled my account a year ago they continued charging me. I got in touch with their customer service team and a supervisor (who just repeat canned responses over and over), and they could see that I canceled and had never opened the app for the past year, but “Philo has a no refund policy” even for cases where there are duplicate charges. That is a scam.
Do NOT trust Philo. Do NOT give them your money. Do NOT trust them to look after their paying customers or use any common sense. Steer clear of this company and understand that they will only ever give you canned responses and they will never talk to you like a human being.
