We had such a great experience with James at Stonehill Surveyors. From the very first message, his communication was brilliant and really put us at ease. The whole process felt personal, and you could tell he genuinely cared about getting everything right for us.

The report he produced was incredibly detailed and thorough - far more than we expected. We honestly couldn’t recommend him enough!

James made the whole process of an L3 survey on an older house as straightforward and reassuring as possible. He was open, extremely prompt, and very clear at every stage. Every piece of paperwork, from the quote for L2 and L3 surveys to the report itself, was also as clear as these things can possibly be.

The report seemed to me very comprehensive and a great deal of care had gone into making it easy to read, meaning I could put together meaningful follow-up questions. The report will also be a real roadmap for maintenance over time. The drone footage was extensive and clear. I had raised several questions in advance and each of these was fully addressed. I asked for a follow-up call and James spoke with me in an unrushed and friendly way, answering every question.

This also seemed to me good value for money. I had higher quotes from providers who gave me less confidence and were much less clear in communication.

We decided to use Stonehill Surveyors following recommendation and I'm very glad that we did. James was really friendly from the start & kept me well updated. We had a L3 survey as half the property dates back to 18th century. The report was very detailed whilst also being easy to digest, and included lots of helpful advice that we'll continue to refer back to in future. I had a number of concerns that I shared before the survey and these were all answered in depth. If we ever have any surveying needs in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use Stonehill again & will be recommending to others! Thank you James!

We had a really positive experience with Stonehill - we asked our estate agents for recommendations for a surveyor and James got in contact quickly with clear and easy communication and was super friendly (he also didn’t bombard us with a million follow up emails post-quote like other companies do - a huge plus for me!)

From the initial conversation it was clear that Stonehill Surveyors are a local company who really know what they're doing, and that even for a homebuyers survey they really are doing a thorough job - going into lofts, camera photos of roof etc. The discussion afterwards was clear and realistic. The report was also clear and we've found the things that were flagged on it invaluable.

We went with Stonehill for a more personal experience in comparison to the larger companies. It was easy to book in a survey, and we received the report promptly. I was expecting a lot of jargon and caveats, but the report was clear and easy to understand whilst explaining any limitations to the survey we'd chosen. The photographs were of good quality, and the report was easy to digest.

The surveyor was happy to have a chat about the report, but we didn't need to take him up on the offer as everything was clear regarding what considerations or steps were needed next.

Would happily recommend to friends and family; will book them again for any surveying needs in the future.

James was great. Super responsive in the first instance. We appointed Stonehill to carry out a lvl 3 home report for a grade 2 listed property. The report was amazing and some of the issues he made us aware of were pretty major and definitely needed addressing before we signed on our contract.
