So far so good

Only got connected yesterday but so far so good. Engineers arrived earlier than expected which was good and everything went well.

We'd been struggling with poor internet…

We'd been struggling with poor internet for weeks until I finally found the time and summoned up the energy to ring Voneus technical support.
These days I think a lot of people feel disinclined to make a call, go through ten options in a circular fashion, sit in a queue to be eventually passed from pillar to post and end up talking to someone you can barely understand in India to then find oneself no better off and wound up with frustration.
However, my experience with Voneus was actually very straight forward. Kevin managed to resolve the issue within minutes, taking our speed from 2.71 mb/s to 550mb/s. He managed to rectify the problem with our router remotely and was very helpful and courteous.
Life lesson learned here! - not all technical support services are the same and I wish I had called weeks ago - television does not buffer and internet speed is infinitely faster.

Mat & Owen look like they have done this before! lol Absolute smooth operation but one of them was meant to have pinned the grey cable cover to the wall with screws but forgot
Am sure they will pass through and sort it once they see this review

Pleasant experience.

What a pleasure it was talking to somebody that actually knew what they were talking about...Nonhle Majola was easy to talk to and understand and also very knowledgeable regarding my problems. Nothing like the experience I was expecting. Keep it up you are a real asset to Voneus... My problem was quickly resolved and everything is now back to normal..

Good broadband service, but beware if you have any kind of billing or payment issue...

Starting with the positives, I've generally been very happy with the broadband service itself from Voneus over the last two years. However having been invited and then completing my contract renewal over the phone without issue two weeks ago, is when the real problems with their customer service levels have sadly become extremely apparent

On renewal I received my new contract which clearly stated:

"We will pro-rata credit you anything you have already paid but not used on your last bill before sending you a new invoice, in this way it may appear that you have received 2 invoices, however both will be only for part months"

Given my invoice for the forthcoming month on my previous contract had only been taken by DD two days prior, I presumed that the new invoice for the renewal would reflect this in line with the above policy.

Frustratingly it came through as the full monthly amount without any adjustment for the payment already made, so I immediately emailed and called, to which their service team said it was an oversight on their side and that it would be corrected straight away by their finance team...

Three more phone calls followed (with detailed accompanying emails) over the next two weeks, during which their service team have been very friendly and understanding verbally, but completely unable to actually stop the incorrect DD being taken despite promises to the contrary, or indeed actually follow up to apologise, respond and rectify the issue.

Having the common courtesy to actually reply to any emails over a two week period (and counting) also appears not to be a priority at Voneus. Blaming the finance team's backlog seems to be the standard response to the customer (which is also revealing in itself), rather than escalating internally to follow up on their own mistake, and provide any kind of level of customer service within a reasonable timeframe.

In summary, as things stand, I have effectively double paid as a 'thank you' for my loyalty in renewing my contract, and am now being completely ignored in trying to get them to actually respond or follow up on promises either by phone or email, or actually rectify overcharging and billing me incorrectly.

Nonhle was so helpful

Nonhle was so helpful in dealing with my questions. She made the necessary adjustments to my contact details and checked everything was working. Very friendly, patient and efficient.

Voneus fibre broadband connection

Matty and Owen installed my Voneus fibre broadband yesterday. They arrived promptly in the time slot and everything was done around 90 minutes later including running a fibre cable over the road by our house. Matty took the time to explain what he was doing and some of the features of the new router. Both Matty and Owen were polite and professional in their approach.

I recently moved into a small village…

I recently moved into a small village and have been looking around for the best fiber wifi and voneus have stepped up to the mark. From when I first spoke to John Coleman i was sold. I did have some issues with blockages but they organised to clear it and have been fantastic! Just need to work on the signal strength upstairs but that’s a problem with most houses!

Kevin was good

Kevin was patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Apparent wifi issues were resolved and difficulties with communications (no phone without internet) surmounted. He had a pleasant helpful manner and it was a pleasant experience after I had got through to him

Had an issue with connecting to my tv…

Had an issue with connecting to my tv so I rang customer support and spoke to Ziyanda . She asked me what the problem was and then started with shorting it out . She was very professional and polite and with in 5 minutes she had it working again. I was very impressed with her ability.
