We had an issue with our french doors in Stewart's Quarter, Rosyth. We had a lovely man from the customer care team, Andy Jones, come promptly to complete the job. It was done very quickly and to a great standard. Andy is very personable and professional, I would feel comfortable approaching him for any problems I may need fixed in the property.

Customer services absolutely shocking
Customer services absolutely shocking, leaving wet tarmac outside our house. Then the tarmac hasn’t set its still tacky, rang up to complain greeted with the most rude and unprofessional women ever called TANYA from customer services, never buy a house from this company you will live to regret it!!!
Viridian meadows.. avant team member!
Just wanted to leave a review for a very deserving avant team member. Darren has been to sort some snagging issues on a couple of occasions and his work and dedication to his job is outstanding! My overall experience with avant has been fantastic, I live on the Viridian Meadows development!

Utterly Dreadful Experience
Without a doubt the worst experience of my life. The process and service from Avant is painful, littered with errors and issues throughout.
You can judge a company on the way they deal with issues and thus far, Avant’s approach is to deny culpability and refuse to engage with the customer.
My advice. Look for other developments - don’t put yourself through it with these cowboys.

We met with Abi on Sunday to look round the new builds at Bingley. I had been emailing with Abi before this and she was brilliant, very informative and really easy to approach especially when we visited on Sunday. she went above and beyond to answer our questions and really made it clear what they had to offer , there was no question she couldn’t answer.

We havn't purchased an house in a long time...
We havn't purchased an house in over 25yrs, we wandered in to the show house without booking, the young lady was very pleasant with my wife and I and left us alone to wonder around the show home on our own. We then sat down with her she was very helpful and informative overall a lovely experiance.

Excellent service and professionalism
I would like to provide positive feedback for Andy Jones following his recent visit to our property. We had a number of minor snagging issues, and Andy took the time to thoroughly inspect and document each one. He resolved several of the issues during the visit itself, which was greatly appreciated.
Andy was friendly, polite, and highly professional throughout. He represented Avant Homes extremely well and left a very positive impression. Thank you to Andy for his excellent service.

I went to Five Rise Quarter at Bingley
I went to Five Rise Quarter at Bingley. I had arranged to see Abi on the day the show home opened. Abi was extremely helpful and explained everything to us showing us diagrams etc. I was interested in a two bed house but the show house was a larger detached house. Abi explained how we could see where I wanted to be from the upstairs window. Abi said she would make us an appointment to look round a Ripley house. This was done and she walked round with us explaining about the different upgrades etc. I was very pleased as to how helpful she was and will definitely go back with any further enquiries I have

In terms of the property bought - I wouldn’t purchase from this company again , far too much that shouldn’t have even been snags, basic things that should have been done prior to completion and the external companies they use come in and create the need for additional visits due to damage they cause (nearing 40+ revisits now!)
I do however feel the need to mention one of the avant workers themselves - mark ‘ the decorator’. He has been part of the furniture pretty much with the amount of work and visits he’s had to put in and he does a cracking job. he’s work ethic is great, he’s polite, easy going and no job is too much. He often picks extra jobs up along the way if it needs doing, no questions asked.
His joinery skills are great and he’s very good at patching up other people’s errors, he’s made our home look as we would have hoped in the beginning.
If you do need works completing hopefully you’ll get lucky and it be him. He’s partial to a Yorkshire tea one sugar & always chatty, his only downfall is he supports Leeds united (laughing obviously) but always been funny banter between him and a spurs fan !
Zoe our customer services support has also been awesome, she’s gone above & beyond to try and salvage some positive for us out of this experience and has been fab at getting people on the ball in a timely fashion.
Thank you both for getting it back on track.

Mark attended my property yesterday to fit a new gas metre box as the one that was fitted had a defect. As always avant customer service team attend and fix the problem to a high standard.
Mark also took the time to look at a small issue regarding sealant in my en suite. He advised the next steps and was courteous. Always taking his shoes off and being respectful of my home.

Extremely disappointing aftercare
Extremely disappointing aftercare experience with Avant Homes.
After moving into our new-build home in December 2024, we discovered paint overspray on the kitchen cupboard doors, which was raised as a snagging issue.
Despite multiple visits, inspections and attempts to clean the units using strong chemicals, the matter has dragged on for months without a satisfactory resolution.
The most frustrating part has been the customer service. Communication has been inconsistent throughout, with conflicting messages from different members of staff and repeated requests to revisit points that had already been discussed. What should have been a straightforward snagging issue has become a lengthy and exhausting process.
Avant Homes have acknowledged that replacing only some of the kitchen doors may result in differences due to manufacturing batches and ageing, but their position is effectively that any differences should blend in over time. As someone who purchased a brand-new home, I find it unacceptable to be told that I may have to wait for replacement items to weather before the kitchen looks consistent.
Rather than taking responsibility for damage caused during construction and restoring the kitchen to the standard that should have originally been supplied, the focus has been on offering the minimum remedy they believe they can justify.
The defect itself has been disappointing, but the handling of the complaint has been worse. The amount of time, effort and stress involved in trying to get a reasonable resolution has significantly impacted my confidence in Avant Homes and their commitment to customer care after completion.
Based on my experience, I would think very carefully before purchasing another Avant Homes property.
