It is still early but I feel like my…

It is still early but I feel like my dry eye symptoms have improved on the first 2 weeks of use. I have been in contact with customer service with questions and they were quick to respond. I don’t have a lot of steam with the recommended amount of drops so I continue to experiment with the amount of liquid.

I want my money back.

The machine leaks. Takes too much time to prepare it and then clean it afterward. Not happy at all. It hasn’t helped my eyes. Optometrist was not supportive of using a solution that doesn’t even have the ingredients marked on the bottle.

What a relief!

I have been using the Beminda steam mask every night before bed for 21 days now and there is a noticeable improvement to my dry eyes. I am inserting liquid eye drops much less frequently, from 5 times a day to 2 times and my eyes are much less red and less irritated. What a relief!

I have noticed improvement in my eyes.

I have noticed improvement in my eyes.
I would like to give some feedback regarding the product.
1. I did not receive any actual instructions on how to use the device. It has two buttons, but there is no indication that the first button has two functions, click once for 5 seconds to turn on for bursts of steam, but click twice gives continuous steam which causes water to flood the face and the reservoir to empty before the time if not completely full prior to starting.
2. The second button. I thought being a steam machine that I would not have to turn on heat, but one day I did not press the second button and it gave steam but not hot, not even warm.
3. The shape of the device does not suit my face. I do not have an extra prominent nose, but it presses quite firmly on my nose and not on other parts of my face.
4. The advertising material says that the device gives constant 42 degrees steam for the whole ten minutes, but my device does not do that. It takes five minutes to heat up, then about two minutes before it is completed the heat is the greatest and then it stops. I tried it consecutively thinking maybe the device needs to heat up, but the second time it was identical.
5. Since there are no instruction, I am not sure how to clean out the jets, and on a number of occasions the steam has been reduced or even not flowing in one of the jets. I have bumped and poked at it and eventually it clears, but I am not sure how to do it correctly.
6. There was also no instructions on how to use the separate device for massaging the Meibomian glands. I did a Youtube video to find out more information and am still unclear about how best to clean the device since I do not want to introduce infection or other substances to my eyes.

Luckily I have been refunded

Luckily I have been refunded. The rigid mask is too wide for my face, so I can't get a close fit. On top of that, the steam leaks out the seam between the soft inner section and the rigid outer frame, so it never gets close to my eyes. I've tried several times to seal up the connection...to no avail.

Ordering was quick and easy. I received my product and was excited to try them for the first time. The unit would not warm up. I did not reach out to the company, however, they sent an email to see how the product was working for me. I responded that it was not working and I really did not expect such a great follow up. They immediately said they would send me another unit, but also the new and improved unit. After dealing with other companies and having issues in the past, I really was not expecting such great customer service. This is a wonderful company.

Defective product

Have had the product for 21 days and already does not work. It is also uncomfortable and hurt the bridge of my nose for the fee times it worked. What a waist of money.

I have been using this consistently for…

I have been using this consistently for 24 days and did run into an unexpected side effect of drier eyes than when I started. Using A.I. to figure out why, I have switched from full steam to intermittent and from full heat to the lower setting. I am gently massaging my lids afterwards and wiping any residue away. Hoping for continued improvement.

No Perceivable Warmth and an Uncomfortable Fit

I purchased this device to help manage dry eyes, where the treatment relies on applying gentle warmth to the eyelids.

The tracking information showed that the product was shipped from China. The packaging I received was labelled "Intelligent Steam Eye Protector" rather than Beminda and made no reference to dry-eye treatment, meibomian gland dysfunction, or medical-device status.

The product generates no perceivable heat regardless of the setting selected. Instead, it produces puffs of mist similar to a bedroom fragrance diffuser. The mist did not feel warm; if anything, it felt like cool, damp moisture. In my experience, a warm, damp flannel remained noticeably warmer after ten minutes than this device felt at the start of a session. Although the device is advertised as having heat settings, I was unable to detect any heat or meaningful difference between them.

The unit is made from hard white plastic and has insufficient padding around the eyes to create an effective seal. Because it is not well shaped to follow the contours of a face, the mask sits on the bridge of the nose rather than distributing its weight evenly. This becomes increasingly uncomfortable during use and, by the end of the ten-minute session, what should be a relaxing treatment felt more like something to endure.

The poor seal also allows mist to escape around the edges rather than remaining concentrated around the eyes. Given that the treatment is intended to apply controlled warmth to the eyelids, I would have expected a more effective seal around the eye area. While the device produced no perceivable heat in my case regardless of setting, the fit and sealing characteristics also left me questioning how effectively warmth would be maintained around the eyes even if it were present.

My concern is not where the product came from, but that it did not appear to deliver the warmth required for the treatment it is marketed for. Combined with the poor fit and discomfort during use, it did not achieve the purpose for which I purchased it.

Encouraged!

I’m still not noticing much improvement however my optometrist has! She was impressed with the degree of improvement to the MGD signs she sees on examination. I am also using Restasis so maybe that has contributed too? I will continue with the every day, twice a day routine.

The company is great to work with

The company is great to work with. Very intentive to you and respond back quickly. My eyes feel better and my vision is noticeably clearer. Only one concern and that is that my mask leaks water when using. I keep a towel under my eyes to catch the drips. They suggested using less water and sitting upright but it still drips. Still have had good results so i will continue to use even through the minor inconvenience.

The Beminda eye mask doesn't get very…

The Beminda eye mask doesn't get very warm - and the 'steam' condenses on the inside of the mask.... Not as warm as I was expecting based on the ads.

Also, the mask sometimes drips water down your face - a little annoying. This also means that the water will stay insode the seals and has the potential to develop mold over time.

The eye roller, is very nice, though.

I am awaiting a replacement for my unit…

I am awaiting a replacement for my unit which is defective because it does not provide consistent heat. I still use my poorly operating unit every night because my eyes feel better than if I don’t use it.
