Myself and my partner have had difficulty finding a mortgage that works for us when using these free brokers but then we found bridie and everything we didn't quite understand as being first time buyers she explained everything so well and have now got us a mortgage and now heading in the right direction to be home owners.

We had such a great experience working with Ary Prasher from haart Hayes. Ary first helped our family secure our very first home a few years ago, and now that our family has grown, he’s been there again to help us move into our second home. Having someone so reliable and consistent across both journeys has meant a lot to us.

He’s professional, responsive and genuinely cares about finding the right property rather than just making a sale. He kept us informed throughout the process, answered all our questions and made what can be a stressful experience feel much smoother.

Had initial chat with mortgage adviser which was helpful, sent through required documents and then tumbleweed. Sent a couple of follow up emails which were all ignored. Just plain rude and have found an alternative broker.

She explained everything really clearly including costs, likelihood of us selling and moving down to smaller things like working out how much we could afford and explaining which fees could be added on to our mortgage. Went to view a house with flagship under the shared ownership scheme. They stated that I had to pass an affordability check with just mortgages in order to progress my application- therefore had a telephone call with Matt Tilbury to discuss this. Looking back now that’s how they get you to start a mortage with them. My backstory was maybe a tad more complex than others with some previous poor credit on my credit file and DMP. I explained to Matt all of this from the get go and he stated that he would be able to work his magic, he’d worked with lots of scenarios like this before and it wouldn’t be an issue. Did an application - at a cost of £150 for the application only to find I got instantly declined because Matt hasn’t declared to them all the information that I had told him which was the whole purpose of using them. We tried a second lender £250 for another application and again they declined. In the mist of all of this I had selected a solicitor to use and paid £400 for them to commence with the promise that Matt would be able to get me a mortage-
Just to be clear I paid
£150 for a mortage application- yet to be refunded- paid on the 11/02/226
£250 to reserve the flagship house
£250 for a second mortage application that if you read the small print is non refundable- agin no refund
£400 on solicitors which is partly my own fault! Went to view the house on
The 18th December and 3 months later I still don’t have a mortgage via them. Was holding on hope but now wondering why I bothered. The last offer they came back with was for one last try- £199 application, £600 legal feeds, £375 valuation! No thanks!

We had the different situation of both myself and my wife being self employed so i wasn’t the easiest thing to actually get a mortgage however Paul was brilliant. We hit dead end after dead end challenge after challenge and Paul continued to come through time and time again. He was a delight to work with professional, patient and went above and beyond.

I paid a £499 fee to Just Mortgages for help securing a mortgage on an ex-local authority flat. My adviser, Caroline Smith, was initially very confident the application would succeed and presented herself as someone who would fight to get the deal through.

When the valuation came back unfavourable — the same outcome we had seen with other lenders due to the property type — her approach changed completely. Rather than exploring specialist lender options, she advised me to walk away from the property. She did eventually suggest a specialist lender, but at a significantly higher rate than I was comfortable with.

I subsequently found another broker independently, who secured a formal mortgage offer with a specialist lender at a far better rate on the same property.

I felt that for £499, the due diligence on lender suitability for this specific property type should have been more thorough before the application was submitted, and that the specialist market wasn't explored with enough effort when the mainstream route failed. I'd recommend anyone with a complex property case to ensure their broker has specific experience with specialist lenders before paying an upfront fee.

Absolutely shocking service clearly only in it for the highest commission possible they can make off you total disregard for getting you the Best deal available!! We had the unlucky services of joe robson 6.00% mortgage rate then the highest income protection and life insurance on the planet at over £250pm again only interested in commission!!!

Disappointed with Jess. Had a video call meeting on the 8th of January to try and get the ball moving on a mortgage offer for me and my partner - both first time buyers. Jess seemed knowledgeable however we sent some bits that she asked us to send over, still to this day are yet to receive a reply, this is despite emailing her again to ask if theres any update. Since then we found another mortgage broker who have us an official offer on a house within 2.5 weeks. Also costing us £400 less. Feel as though because we didnt have the sizeable income other people may have she chose not to bother. Would've been nice to at least be updated and not left lingering. It's cost her a customer and its cost Haart Estate Agents a transaction, we've chosen to go with another estate agent based off principle despite liking a property on Haart in Bracebridge Heath
