It was brilliant thanks to Albert! Back in January he completely sorted out my new glasses after I bent them spectacularly, they were completely out of shape. Not only did Albert fix them, but he tweaked and re-tweaked them until they were a perfect fit. Thank you so much, it was greatly appreciated. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Albert!

Professional, friendly, welcoming Opticians, providing excellent all round care
Leightons have been looking after my eye care needs for 20+ years, previously at branches in Egham & Cobham and for the past 10-15 yrs at Leightons Sutton. As I have Advanced Glaucoma and under hospital care, it is even more imperative for me to have skilled, reliable & dependable eye care and support.
At Leightons Sutton I am always treated to a very professional, friendly, welcoming experience, right from the thorough scans & eye examination, eye test, care and guidance from the Optometrist (Ghazal), the technical skills, experience & guidance of Dispensing Optician (Julie) to advise on best options and fit for lens types & frames, assistance from all the staff in store and the very friendly & helpful team at reception.
The store is very well located (next to Sutton station) spacious, well laid out, have high tech medical devices for full eye health exam & care and have a very good selection of quality frames to suit all styles & budgets. The monthly MyLeightons care plan is excellent value for money and ensures total peace of mind for one's general eye care requirements. .
Yes, we are bombarded by advertisements from other big mainstream retail chain opticians/franchises & on-line services offering all sorts of gimmicks & incentives but if one is looking for a more professional, personalised & thorough opticians practice then Leightons (Sutton) will offer that excellent level of service, care & peace of mind.

Leightons in Tadley - always excellent!
Leightons in Tadley is an excellent opticians. Always very welcoming, Aly knows us whenever we pop in and she and her team always look after us very well.
Everything is clearly explained and shown and there's no "hard sell" - just genuine care, great suggestions and customer experience. Great after-service too if you ever have a problem or have sat on your glasses ! How service should be and I don't look anywhere else for my eye care.

My experience at Chandlers Ford branch was exceptional. The staff were friendly, informative and accommodating. I would highly recommend the branch and the service offered. I also found the pricing to be very reasonable and the payment plans were very helpful.

Great customer service
I've taken my autistic daughter for eye tests in Leightons St.Albans for several years and am always extremely impressed with their approach and customer service. Both Indy and Preena talk calmly with her in a way that helps her anxiety, explaining (with not too many words!) what will be most helpful for her. Other staff members are also extremely welcoming and helpful. We always leave smiling!

Very poor value for money
Ok initial service and eye test, but the sunglasses I got were dreadful value for money, as I got tricked by the interest free credit! Having subsequently found out about friend’s bad experiences, with Leightons in Winchester, I definitely wouldn’t go back.

Appointment for 3.30 to order new lens…
Appointment for 3.30 to order new lens for my existing frames.
Arrived 3.17, checked in and was asked to take a seat.
2 assistants working - 1 had finished with her customer but spent over 10 mins just chatting. The other assistants customer needed to go in to see the optrometrist and returned to the desk after 5 minutes.
At no time was I informed that assistants were ‘running late’ or that I would be seen shortly.
I left the showroom and went to find a more professional opticians. No one phoned to ask why I had left or to ask if I wanted to make another appointment.
I was completely ignored.

Arriving for an appointment and not being properly acknowledged or kept informed is not the level of service we aim to provide. You should have been updated about the delay and attended to promptly, and we regret that this did not happen during your visit.
We also understand how disappointing it must have felt to leave without assistance and without any follow-up from our team.
Your comments have been shared with our staff so we can address this internally and ensure better communication and attentiveness moving forward. Experiences like yours help us identify where we need to improve.

It’s no fun getting old
As an opticians Leightons thoroughly deserve all the plaudits indeed.
I attended the Swindon Branch today, as usual an excellent optical appointment in every respect. What has caused me to include in my review was one aspect. After my optical appointment I always have an enhanced picture screen of my retina. So far so good. What happened next really flummoxed me, your colleague said, that all done all we need to do is your hearing test. I was taken aback. I said I have not booked a hearing test, the courteous response was, it’s free! I sense Leightons are targeting older customers like me to build up this other part of their business.
In my view a more tactful approach would have been to have emailed before my appointment date highlighting that they are into the hearing business giving me the option or otherwise to proceed or not. I’m close to eighty years of age and fortunately so far have excellent hearing

We are very pleased to hear that you found your optical appointment to be excellent overall, but we are sorry to learn that the hearing screening aspect left you feeling uncomfortable. That was certainly not our intention, and we appreciate you raising the concern.
We would like to reassure you that we do not target older customers in any way. As an opticians and hearing care centre, we provide services for all adults over the age of 18, and a complimentary hearing screening is offered routinely alongside eye examinations. This forms part of our duty of care to ensure we are doing our utmost for our patients’ overall sensory health.
The hearing screening is intended as an additional level of service that we pride ourselves on offering. Even when hearing is excellent, the test can provide a helpful baseline record, which can be useful if hearing changes or deteriorates later in life.
However, we completely understand that patients may not always expect this to be offered during an eye appointment, and we appreciate your feedback regarding how this could have been communicated more clearly beforehand.
Thank you again for your comments. Feedback such as yours helps us improve how we explain our services so that patients feel fully informed and comfortable during their visit. We hope to welcome you back in the future.
