We have been trying to contact Nestera for over a week leaving several messages - we have a faulty auto opener.
Are they still trading ?

Het bestelde kippenhok werd sneller geleverd dan aangekondigd en verwacht. In elkaar steken was een klusje, maar verliep, dankzij de duidelijke instructies , vlot.Maar het liep finaal wel vlot. We zijn nu een 5-tal dagen verder en de kippen zijn ondertussen aangepast.Dit verhaal om te bedanken voor jullie service. Het hok is zeker van hoge kwaliteit. Tot nu moesten we regelmatig de hokken vervangen. Houten constructies houden niet zo heel lang stand. Dat zal met dit hok niet geval zijn. Door een uitgeputte voorraad werd ons een upgrade naar groter hok aangeboden, zonder opleg. Een fijne ervaring qua klantvriendelijkheid en service in deze online-tijden.

31 juli, op het moment van schrijven 123 dagen geleden het Aspen kippenhok gekocht. Over het kippenhok geen klachten, die voldoet.

Maar tot op heden zitten we nog steeds op de Smart Auto deuropener te wachten, ondanks diverse eerder gedane beloftes door Nestera dat deze geleverd zou worden.

Werkelijk waardeloze klantenservice.

Great customer service. I purchased a Nestera wagon back in 2024. It is so easy to use and clean also the chickens love it. When I got it I also purchased the automatic door opener, as it’s make or brake for have. After 20 months it stopped working. I got in touch with Nestera, who said unfortunately it’s out of warranty. But as a good will gesture they would fix it free of charge. I sent it back and in a week they sent me a replacement, which has prompted me to buy another coop with them next year. Thanks to all the team at Nestera for their help and understanding.

it is about the automatic door opener. the door opener that Nestera made is not reliable when it freezes. I have two Nestera Chicken coops which I like, but the automatic door openers fail when it freezes. Sometimes even it does not close and then my chicken are left unprotected with a half open door. What mostly happens is that during the morning the doors do not open (when it was freezing during the night) and then the chicken are locked inside the coop. I have contacted Nestera asking for a solution and all they said was that during freezing periods I should pay more attention. This is a weak answer in my opinion. First of all they do not warn you o their website, suggesting that the opener works flawlessly. And secon dof all one does buy this door opener to make sure that the chicken are safe and that it does not depend on manual action, while it does when it freezes. Horrible,

I have solved the issue I have by buying a different automatic door, that slides from left to right. It is the automatic door from Omlet. It allows feeding with an adapter and then it also can connect to your wifi. This way I am informed every time the door closes and opens. Perfect.

I bought the Wagon and the quality is superior to a wood coop. I love the fact that it's on wheels and that it is made of recycled plastic! It is so easy to clean. I love it and would definitely purchase another coop from Nestera when I expand my flock.

I recently purchased a Nestera chicken coop, and overall, I am extremely happy with the investment. This coop is a game-changer compared to the wooden ones I've had in the past, though I did hit a small bump during assembly.

The Good: Quality & Design
Exceptional Quality: The coop is incredibly well-made and feels like it will last for years. The recycled plastic material is sturdy, durable, and looks fantastic.

A Breeze to Clean: This is, hands down, the best feature. Cleaning is remarkably easy. The smooth surfaces and thoughtful design make quick work of maintenance, which is a huge win for keeping the flock healthy.

Happy Chickens: Most importantly, my chickens seem to absolutely love it! They quickly took to the nesting boxes and roosting bars, and they are comfortable and secure inside.

The Constructive Feedback: Assembly Instructions
While the coop itself is brilliant, the assembly process was a little more complicated than necessary. The diagrams and written steps were generally clear, but the instructions were confusing because the parts themselves were not labeled with numbers or identifiers. I had to spend extra time cross-referencing and guessing which piece was which, which made the assembly take longer than it should have.

Final Verdict
Despite the small hiccup with the instructions, I would highly recommend the Nestera coop. The quality construction, ease of cleaning, and the obvious comfort of my hens make this a fantastic product. Just be prepared to study the manual closely before you start assembling!

Bought the penthouse to replace my wooden coop for all the best reasons. However, now the wet weather is here, water ingress has affected one side of the nest box. Update …Nestera have come good and helped me out in resolving my issues. Very responsive hence updated my review.

The Lodge, large
Good solid construction, easy to build even for a woman 'of a certain age' with arthritis in her hands. It all clips together so no screws. Plenty of space inside. My hens are delighted with the wide perches - chickens have big feet, most other coops have perches which are far too small. Easy to clean; my last coop (which wasn't cheap) had a zinc lined tray but after a while the zinc corroded and the wood rotted. I have had some recycled plastic compost bins for well over 25 years, they are still as good as new so I am sure this Nestera coop will last for many generations of Chickens.

J'ai 2 poulaillers, la roulotte et le lodge/M ainsi que les portiers automatiques et les bacs à fientes Nestera. Je suis très satisfaite de mes poulaillers et accessoires, j'en ai donc offert un à ma fille, le penthouse/L. Elle aussi en est très contente.
La garantie 25 ans est rassurante.
J'apprécie l'esthétique mais surtout la praticité d'entretien de ces poulaillers. Et ce qui est vraiment top, c'est leur service client : disponible, réactif, honnête et bienveillant. C'est si rare sur le net ! Merci à eux !

We purchased one and have been so pleased we’ve bought a second one for our other flock. Really solidly made and so easy to clean out. Material seems ideal with easy clean internally. Happy to recommend them

Hemos comprobado que es muy fácil de limpiar. La puerta automática funciona genial, la tenemos programada por la luz solar, no les afecta el cambio de hora del Gobierno.

Really pleased with the coop. When I let them know our chickens wouldn’t go up the ladder they contacted me immediately with the offer of trying out and reviewing a new ramp. This is now on its way. The fact they listen to feedback and come up with a solution is great customer service. Would highly recommend not just the product but their great customer service.

We first bought a Nestera coop just over a year ago as the wooden coop we had fell apart in 2-3 years. It was easy to assemble, sturdy and being made from recycled materials was a plus. We bought a second one a few months later to extend our flock. They aren’t cheap but with a 25 year warranty it is def worth it in the long run. It’s very windy where we are and if turned the right way the wind flows over which is a major plus. They are easy to clean too. We bought the automatic door closers at a later stage and they save a lot of work and work well. It’s safe to say I’m a big fan of Nestera.

I finally was able to put the Lean-to 10 (Aspen 10) together, I would say it took me about a day and a half, as I did it by myself. I put it together in the chicken run, I had a lot of help (11 hens and a rooster)! I leave the door open hoping they will explore, they haven't slept in it yet. As soon as they do I will remover the old coop.
Update: The hens have started to lay their eggs in the coop. I'm very pleased with it very easy to collect eggs and clean.

Great coops and easy to assemble and clean

Such an amazing purchasing experience. Whilst I first couldn't find what I was looking for (due to my inexperience not the website), I contacted the company for help. Within an hour I was sent a link to the item I was looking for. I made the purchase and the next day it has arrived on my door step. May I thank all involved because we are not all tech savvy but this company really helped with all stages of my purchase.
