Have to call them to actually begging them to sign you in for actual job.
Constantly expecting you to be there right away after several times of asking them to sign you in for a job.

Thanks for getting in touch. I understand you're frustrated about the recent drop in job allocations.

To clarify, you've been allocated nine jobs since you joined us about six weeks ago. However, your account was placed under review a couple of weeks ago, which has affected how many jobs you've been offered. This was a direct result of serious issues on a recent job from London to Leeds:

False Proof of Delivery (POD): A POD was entered before the goods were actually delivered. This led to the customer contacting us, saying they hadn't received their goods, despite getting a delivery notification. You were responsible for entering this incorrect data.

Significant Delay: The item was collected over three hours late, which also prompted a customer complaint.

Our job allocation system uses an automatic algorithm based on a driver's live location and proximity to the collection point. For this to work best, drivers need to have their tracking turned on. Our staff are also instructed not to allocate jobs to drivers who call in directly. This ensures fairness and prevents any perception of "queue jumping" among our driving partners, as the system is designed to be equitable based on location and real-time data.

Your success in getting jobs has recently decreased because our system assesses drivers based on their location, tracking data, and reliability record. The issues on that London to Leeds job directly impacted your reliability score.

Hi Simon, Our platform works best as part of a portfolio of work and a 'top up' to existing work and is priced accordingly. We definitely have work available for LWB transit style vehicles.

Lack of Transparency – Two Different Prices for the Same Job

Courier Expert claims to be a transparent company, stating that drivers receive 60% of the amount paid by the customer. But after weeks of testing and cross-checking their system, we can confidently say: this is not true.

Before writing this review, we tested the same scenario multiple times over several weeks, and the results were always the same.

If you go on their website as a customer and request a quote, you will see one price. But the exact same job appears in the driver app with a lower “customer price,” and drivers are offered 60% based on that reduced figure — not the actual amount charged to the customer.

I would attach a screenshot comparison, but unfortunately cannot at the moment. Still, any registered driver can verify this easily. This is not an isolated case or a technical glitch — it’s a consistent pattern.

So Courier Expert, how do you explain advertising honesty and transparency while using two different pricing systems?

Thank you for raising this important point about our pricing. We understand how the system might appear confusing, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Our aim is to ensure fair pay for drivers while covering operational costs. Drivers on account customer jobs do receive a straightforward 60% of the customer's payment. However, I believe you have been testing our system as a non account holder, which is slightly different. For other payment methods (like credit cards or paypal), an additional charge is applied on top of the net price, to cover things like card processing fees and fraud risk, ensuring drivers are paid in full, even if there's a chargeback.

There are also additional charges applied to all customers, when jobs enter congestion zones. It would not work correctly if drivers were only to get 60% of congestion fee charges, this makes sure drivers are paid in full for those extra charges, rather than just a percentage. Driver's can claim the full congestion charge, on top of their 60% rate.

The net amount in £'s a driver will make is always clearly displayed in the app for every job.

We appreciate you raising this point. We're currently reviewing how we communicate our pricing to strike a better balance between transparency and simplicity. Your review is a great reminder for us and truly helps us improve.

I signed up for more than 1 year and…

I signed up for more than 1 year and they only gave me 1 job. Even though the job was posted 15 minutes away for collection, they still didn't assign it to me. I don't think this company is efficient. If you are counting on a stable job, don't sign up with them. I hope the company managers see this post.

We took a look at your account and think we've found a quick fix. We noticed you haven't yet turned on your Tracked and Trusted status. This is a big one! Our system's algorithm heavily weighs tracking when assigning jobs, as it allows customers to follow the delivery in real-time.
Switching this on could significantly increase your success rate. Just tap the location symbol at the top of the page in your app to activate it.

Absolutely Useless Platform

I wish I could give 0 stars, but unfortunately the minimum is 1. Absolutely terrible app. There are barely any available jobs, and most of them require the customer to pre-pay before you can even apply. Such pre-paid jobs appear extremely rarely across the entire UK, leaving you with almost zero chances to actually get any work.

I purchased the so-called “lifetime” contract for £300 at the end of March. After nearly 3 months, I’ve only managed to complete 4 jobs, which haven’t even covered the cost of the subscription. I applied for 26 jobs — simply because there were no more available to apply for. Not a single one of my other applications was accepted, even when I agreed to their ridiculously low rates and was located right next to the collection point.

They claim that after completing 100 jobs, they will refund your money. But with this kind of job availability, that could easily take 10 years. Customer support is non-existent — no response to emails, no answer to phone calls, complete silence.

Frankly, you might as well just give me £300 and I’ll maybe send you one job per month — or maybe not. Total scam. Don’t waste your money. Companies like this should simply be shut down.

However, we also want to clarify a few points that we believe may be a misunderstanding or a reflection of your specific experience rather than the broader picture:

Job Availability & Pre-Paid Jobs: It's incorrect to state that only pre-paid jobs are allocated. Roughly one-third of our bookings are from account customers, which are invoiced after the job is completed. These jobs are allocated just like any others once they're on our system. While job volume can fluctuate based on location and demand, we actively work to secure a diverse range of opportunities.

Application Success Rate: You mentioned completing 4 jobs out of 26 applications, which is about a 15% conversion rate. While this might feel low, it's actually a reasonable figure given the competitive nature of the platform where other drivers are also vying for work. We also see that bidding strategically and accepting standard rates can significantly improve your success. Our standard rates are benchmarked to be competitive.

Customer Support: We're concerned to hear you couldn't reach us. Our main phone line has an option (option 3) specifically for driver support, and calls are answered, though there might be a short wait during peak times. We also pride ourselves on swift email responses. We encourage you to try again or reach out, as we're here to help.

100 Job Refund Offer: We can confirm the viability of this offer. We currently have 91 members who have completed over 100 jobs and qualified for this, there are also 225 members who have completed over 50 jobs. This demonstrates that consistent work is available on the platform for many.

On April 8, 2025, your account was restricted to Level 1 jobs because the goods in transit insurance document you provided wasn't sufficient proof of insurance. We requested a full, valid document from you at that time, but we haven't received it yet.

Given that you have an Extra Long Wheelbase van, gaining access to Level 2 jobs is crucial for your success on our platform. We strongly urge you to supply the correct insurance document as soon as possible. Once we receive and verify it, we can enable your access to a much wider range of suitable jobs. Onboarding process clean and straightforward. Having used the app for a couple of weeks now, I feel it was worth the membership. Their rates are reasonable and the team are great. Not enough work to use solely, but great for part time, backloads, and inspiration.

If I can rate this 0 stars I would I've purchased there app round about almost 300 pound and they say it's for life time. But it's been 1 week literally no jobs to bid or see. Keep telling them I ain't getting no work they don't care. Wasted my money on the app that don't give u work at all.

Given that Birmingham is usually a busy area for our drivers, with many completing a significant number of jobs (for example, 25 drivers recently completed between 10 and 145 jobs each), there might be a couple of things to consider.

First, please ensure your location settings are optimized to show you the jobs closest to you. Second, in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to new job postings can make a big difference. 1st Yr Review

I've now been driving for CE for just under a year, I can't say I knew what to expect as I hadn't really done a lot of delivery work in the past and didn't want to do multidrop work. Looking through the reviews was a bit of a mixed bag, but the fact that CE reply to the negative reviews with explanations helped me make the decision to join.
I've found working for CE to be quite enjoyable, I don't do the work to make a living but just to fill in some gaps in my schedule, the app is very good (fast, easy to read/navigate), I've always been paid on time.
The support team are always very helpful as well, either over email or a quick phone call when on the road.
Job availability is the one area I have the most issue, you can never really tell where jobs are going to come from so trying to plan and anticipate can get a little frustrating (not CEs fault, just the market). Looking forward to things getting better and busier 😁

I was looking for a better app than CX…

I was looking for a better app than CX and decided to join this platform because they promised 60% take on what customer is charged. But, after paying £120 as joining fee, since 2 weeks I only got 1 job for which i got £42. I applied jobs everyday but won't get accepted even after reducing my price. There is no much job available in Northampton and I even tried to go to London as a headstart so that i can get accepted for jobs but still the story was the same. I sent a mail that i want to cancel my subscription and then they accepted the only job i got. I don't know on what criteria the jobs are allocated but it didn't help me ar all. I have requested for cancellation of my subscription including the refund. I hope they atleast process my refund.

Our job allocation system prioritises local drivers and those with in-app tracking activated. The former likely explains why you didn't receive jobs in London. The tracking setting could also be a factor in the Northampton area.
