Do not buy from this supplier. The quality is poor and looks like market stall crap at extortionate prices. So dissspointed. They use false advertising images that don't represent the actual quality of goods. They are a conning business that purposely miss lead with false statement and adverts. No refund on earing even though not touched. Yet they allow returns on rings and necklace. So some one with an cut or open wound can pick up, try and wear and then return for refund. Doesn't make any sense. Please take heed and do not purchase from this corrupt company.

Before buying from Clogau, please read reviews - high prices for poorer quality and customer services aren't concerned at losing customers

My Mum has bought from Clogau for years as she loved buying special gifts for close family and friends. I have no clue how many hundreds of pounds Mum has spent with them (including gold watch for my 50th). I've also bought many gifts for Mum from Clogau as I wanted her to have something extra special to show how wonderful she is.

At Christmas, Mum ordered me a bracelet. It arrived and the package was awful. It was shoved in a tiny pouch so that was bad enough. When I took the bracelet out, the quality was shocking - it was misshaped and very poor. Mum was advised she could return it but as she's a pensioner with limited mobility and could not return it to the store soon, had to pay to return it for a refund so that was £12 extra straight away due to the value. We were told that postage has to be paid by Mum as the bracelet wasn't returned due to it being faulty. How something sub-standard, out of shape and poor quality was exempt from free postage is unbelievable. If Mum had have been able to get to the shop to return it, she would have but that wasn't a possibility at the time.

What then followed was a prime example of terrible customer service - I had to repeatedly ask that Mum at least receive an apology for how she has been treated. There was no consideration for her loyalty over the years. They weren't concerned at all that Mum said she would never buy from them again either. Same goes for me. Appreciate that won't affect their business but they don't deserve the support any more.

It's also interesting to read other reviews about customer service too - not to mention the fact that others also feel quality has deteriorated a lot.

Just hope other people/potential customers bear in mind the reviews for this Company before spending anything with them.

We truly value customers like your Mum, and hearing that she has trusted us for so many meaningful gifts over the years, including something as special as your 50th birthday watch, makes it all the more disappointing to learn that this recent purchase fell short of expectations.

We are very sorry that the bracelet did not meet the quality you expected and that you were unhappy with how it was presented. Our standard packaging for this piece is a protective pouch inside our Clogau presentation box, to ensure that the piece is not stretched in any way prior to wear. We are sorry this felt underwhelming and want to assure you this feedback will be passed to our development teams.

In reviewing the order, I can see that a full refund was issued once the bracelet was returned. I can also see that an apology email was sent to your Mum in January following the return. That said, I completely appreciate that if the overall experience felt disappointing and frustrating, this may not have felt sufficient.

Regarding return postage, when a return is logged via our online portal and marked as faulty, we request supporting information such as images and once approved, the return postage is covered by us. If this process wasn’t clear or didn’t work as expected at the time, I’m very sorry for the added inconvenience and cost this caused, particularly given your Mum’s limited mobility. We certainly never want policies or processes to feel unfair or lacking in empathy.

We take comments about both quality and customer service very seriously, and your feedback will be shared internally with the relevant teams for review.

Stretchy bracelets are designed for comfort and ease of wear, but due to their elastic construction they can naturally weaken over time depending on wear and how they’re looked after and stored. That said, we appreciate that durability is important, and we’re sorry this has impacted your experience.

Our warranty covers manufacturing faults within the specified period, and outside of this we do offer a repair and restringing service for a fee. This helps cover the cost of materials and workmanship involved in rethreading and quality-checking the piece. However, we understand that this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for.

Bought clogau pendant it fell off my neck broken had it repaired when I wore it against broken again Sent off for repair it came back broken in a few pieces unrepairable they said wanted a replacement but was going to be charged for it. This has been going on for 2 years now. The pendant was not fit for purpose but they refuse to replace free of charge. Numerous emails citizens Advice and still no nearer having it replaced. Customer service diabolical. You pay a lot of money for high end jewellery clogau is not high end do not waste you money as when something goes wrong they are not willing to solve any issues.

Be aware when buying the bead bracelets…

Be aware when buying the bead bracelets that cost about £140. During wear the wiring deteriorates and breaks. This can lead to a loss of the beads and therefore the bracelet. If the bracelet is over 2 years old and you still have the beads the company will charge you another £20 to repair the fault. They will not tell you this during purchase. Do not buy. Waste of money.

Our elasticated bead bracelets are designed to be worn, however, as with all elasticated jewellery, the internal threading can naturally deteriorate over time depending on frequency of wear and exposure to elements such as water, lotions or perfumes.

We provide a two-year warranty from the date of purchase, and outside of this period we offer a restringing service to help customers restore their piece for continued enjoyment.

Bought a lot of the stretchy bracelets…

Bought a lot of the stretchy bracelets and 1 have snapped they want me to pay for it to be repaired we are paying over £100 a time for these bracelets!! Also a safety chain clasp is opening all the time had it for about 2 years it’s faulty and they refuse to fix it !!! Not buying anymore clogau I’d rather Pandora never a problem with their jewellery!!

Clogau jewellery is covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing faults which can be extended to 24 months with a simple online registration. If your pieces are now outside of this period, or have no manufacturing fault present, repairs would be subject to a charge.

That said, we always aim to support our customers wherever possible and we are always more than happy to arrange for our workshop to assess your jewellery and provide a repair quotation before any work is undertaken.

Silver dragon 🐲 pendant

I have just received the silver dragon pendant. I am absolutely overwhelmed with this item. I did not realise he was double-sided. His beautiful rose gold wing is on both sides of the pendant. The details on the dragon are fantastic. He is also extremely heavy. My Welsh heritage comes from my mum's side of the family, but also I adore anything dragon. I shall also be purchasing the dragon ring and bracelet. This has really made my day, can't thank you enough clogau, also extra special as my dad brought it for me.

Dont expect customer service

My request for a return was a couple of weeks outside their policy as I split with my mrs and my head wasn't in a good space but they didn't want to help ... They offered a voucher (no use to me) but were more interested in their policies than customer service - Really poor, would never buy from them again.

Poor quality bracelets and dangly charms

My family have bought a number of pieces from Clogau as we are Welsh!
I am really disappointed in the quality of the stretchy bracelets and dangly charms. DO NOT BUY them if you want them to last beyond a year. The charms (some at over £60) have fallen off and I’ve returned four bracelets for repair. The most recent stretchy bracket luckily came apart at home. I returned it, at a cost, to be repaired. The repair is not good enough, silver pieces not in the right places. Returned again and promised it would be checked personally by Sophie. It has arrived this morning exactly the same. So frustrating. Poor quality and awful service at repair.

Lovely product, unclear next day delivery

The item itself is absolutely beautiful and very well made. I’m really pleased with the jewellery.

Unfortunately, the delivery experience and customer service were disappointing. I paid £6.99 for “DPD – Parcel Next Day” delivery. At checkout, there was no clear mention of a 4pm cut-off time, “next working day” wording, or weekend exclusions, it simply stated “Next Day Delivery”.

I ordered on a Friday expecting delivery the following day or on Monday at the latest, but the item arrived on Tuesday. I contacted customer services and provided screenshots of exactly what was visible to me at checkout, however the delivery charge refund was refused, with responses relying on internal policy rather than addressing the lack of clarity shown to customers.

While the product itself is lovely, clearer delivery information at checkout and a more customer-focused response would have made this a much better experience.

Poor quality ring and service

I bought the Annwyl Ring a while back and have had nothing but problems with it. Originally, it lasted around 6-8 months before the design cracked and broke. Fortunately, it was within the 2 year warranty so they replaced it. I was also told that I would receive a new 2 year warranty when it’s replaced so if there are any issues then it’d be sorted.

The ring design proceeded to break again multiple times every few months, which was becoming frustrating. I let them know multiple times about the frequency this was happening and my concerns but was only ever offered a replacement. I was also informed around this time that they don’t recommend this ring as a wedding band due to the intricate design, so it’s not suitable for daily wear.

The last replacement was done in June 24 and it lasted a little over a year before breaking again. This is around the 4th or 5th time it’s happened now and I’m now being informed that I only have a 1 year warranty.

Despite the constant issues and having it replaced around 4 or 5 times in around 2 years, I’m now being told I have to pay to have the ring replaced, knowing full well that it’s not going to last and will break again.

With all the issues and obvious fact that the ring isn’t fit for purpose, there was no good will gesture or anything. Very disappointed and unhappy, not sure what to do now but the ring and company I can’t recommend

Update:
I don’t seem to be able to reply to the comment, so I’ll just add this update at the bottom.

When purchasing this ring as a wedding band, to be worn daily, it’s no good notifying me after the 2nd or 3rd replacement that it’s not suitable for daily wear. If this was mentioned when I purchased the ring then I obviously wouldn’t have purchased it and would have looked at alternative options.

This also doesn’t address the fact that I was told that I would receive a fresh 2 year warranty when a replacement was done. The ring cracked a little while ago, but as I have been unable to get to a store, I knew there was no rush as I believed it was still under warranty.

This has all left a very sour taste, as I’m left with either paying for a replacement for a ring that’s not fit for purpose so I know it’ll break again or not repairing it and being left with nothing.

The ring is obviously designed as a wedding band (so much so that when I bought it, it was on display with all the other wedding bands) so if it’s not suitable for wearing daily then it’s a design flaw and should be recalled

The Annwyl ring features an intricate design which, while beautiful, is not intended for continuous daily wear or use as a wedding band. This is due to the nature of the detailing, which makes it more susceptible to damage when worn long term. This is why, following earlier replacements, our teams advised that the style is not recommended for this purpose.

We have previously supported you with multiple replacements under warranty, however our warranty covers manufacturing faults rather than wear and tear or damage resulting from use outside of a piece’s intended design. As the most recent replacement was provided in June 2024, it now falls outside of the applicable warranty period.

We are sorry if there has been any confusion regarding warranty terms at the time of replacement, and we regret that this has added to your disappointment. While we are unable to offer a further free replacement in this instance, our Customer Services team would be happy to review the available options with you and discuss how we may assist going forward.

I wouldn't buy the charms again!

I iniitially bought 2 Clogau charms and the bracelet in October 2024. The tree of life charm clip broke twice, luckily, I didn't lose the charm. Clogau replaced them with no arguement. My pardarn charm broke and I lost that completely. I collected my 3rd replacement yesterday, and today i have noticed the charm has completely fallen off. I know they won't replace again. I wish I'd never invested in these pieces of jewellery!

Update:
Further to Clogau's customer service comment, I emailed them 2 weeks ago. I've had no response from them at all!

2nd Update
Clogau customer service has now responded. As predicted, they can't help as i have 'lost' the charm and clip. They are aware there are issues with quality of the clips, perhaps they need to reconsider their design.

Luckily for me, i have found a jeweller who is going to solder them in place. This will mean i sacrifice my warranty's for each piece but hey, i might hang onto my charms.

Just received the fairy silver heart…

Just received the fairy silver heart earrings. Would have sent them back, but they do not accept returns on earrings. Really disappointed!
I was going to purchase another pair for my granddaughter, but not worth it. Clogau mention a small amount of Welsh gold and supposedly a fairy inside the heart ~ looks nothing like the ones on their website ~ you cannot see the fairy! (I have had numerous people look and only one said they “thought they could see something inside one of the hearts” . I won’t bother buying from them again. Pity because we have a 40th birthday next month, who is Welsh.

Disappointed with my purchase

I bought some earrings for my girlfriend for her birthday and within two weeks one of the backs to the earrings became loose and fell off and was lost. We went to the Cardiff store today and asked for a replacement back and was told that we would have to pay £4.50 to replace it, I thought that was unfair as the earrings were faulty due to the clasp of the back not securing properly. I found the staff to be very dismissive and we were very disappointed with their attitude. I bought the earrings as a special present and I now feel that they are not special. This is the first time that I have bought any jewellery from Clogau and now it will be the last time.

False advertising and poor customer service

This was my original review:
I purchased the paw print key ring as a memory gift for my mum. The item arrived 2 weeks later and the name engraved on it is so small it’s illegible! It only consists of 6 letters, but it is half the size of the ‘Clogau’ wording printed on the other side and barely takes up half the surface width- so it isn’t like there wasn’t enough space to print a legible name. I’m so disappointed as none of the engravings in their online pictures or in store were this small, otherwise I NEVER would have purchased it or opted to have it printed.

Clogau reached out and request I send the item back to them (at a cost of £8.99 to myself) so they could rectify the issue. 3 weeks later Clogau simply returned my original item with absolutely no difference to the illegible print. The engravings look absolutely nothing like on their website. I would not advise anyone to purchase items and have them engraved by Clogau.

Beware Clogau Opal Jewellery

I was given a set if opal earings, necklace and charm for my birthday a few years ago. I returned the above jewellery to a clogau outlet shop when I noticed that over a period of time the stones had changed colour. The shop assistant explained that opals are a porous stone which will react to water which was obviously what had happened. He advised that the jewellery should have been treated to prevent water damage. I agreed for the items to be sent off for a repair assessment. I received an email today asking for £238.50. Which I assumed would be to replace the stones. This is almost as much as it would cost me to purchase the items from new. I am disappointed that clogau didn't provided some sort of warning with the jewellery in the box about possible water damage and to have the jewellery treated to prevent water damage or that clogau does not treat the stones prior to sale. This has put me off purchasing any clogau jewellery in the future.

Just had fairies of the mine drop earrings and bangle delivered
Silver is extremely thin on earrings and the bangle seems to be designed for a child size wrist!
Very disappointing
